Just ordered a 2022 quick 6 for 525$ jush getting into biking so after watching your video I got one bedside I needed a starter bike. I’ve been riding for around 8 months. Around 60-75 miles a week on a mountain bike so I feel I’m doing good. Thanks for the videos!
not very knowledgeable about bicycle specs. I rode my friends Quick 3 and it was awesome so I have been looking at them. However, I spotted a used Quik 4 in great condition for only $300. Wondering what the biggest difference between 3 and 4 is? What I liked about the Quick 3 was how light weight it felt, how smooth it was, and the smoothness in the gear shifting. I don't really care about how fast I can go on a bicycle. I like to be able to commute, be comfortable, have good shifting components, be safe, and be able to handle hills and moderate improvising to bumpy sidewalks or very light gravel or grass. Any thoughts on 3 vs 4?
Thanks for the review on these models, locally, none of these are available at the moment where I live, in a 70 mile radius. One store mentioned they wont get any more Cannondales for the remaining year of 2021. Once I get mine, probably in 2022, have to look into apple airtags and see if that will work as an anti-theft / recovery option.
Just got my wife the 2021 Quick 5 today. The price tag said $725 but luckily the employee helping me was honest and said at the time they bought it for $619 so that’s what you’ll pay.
@@damionmandy7978 thanks! Yeah, they definitely get up there. I was walking around the bike store and seeing $4,000 price tags like 🥸👀 I paid around $600 for my urban xcape about 3-4 years ago and it was worth it. You get what you pay for kinda thing. I’ve done the $150-200 bikes and always regretted it.
I bought a very similar Cannondale 25 years ago for I'm guessing $450. Considering inflation i'm amazed Cannondale has been able to keep the prices so low over the years. My frame was made in the USA, not sure where they are made now.
good review of the Quick model specs. It appears that this "fitness" bike would be good as a "gravel" / dirt road bike , as are most mountain bikes with the right tires. Not sure of any benefit to the Quick 4 with 1 x gearing , perhaps only for riders who are not understanding that no front derailleur means half the gears and a wider jump between most shifts , meaning less of what you have gears on a bike for. Thanks
Blazer433 yes, I’ve ridden it twice so far for a total of 20 miles. It’s lightweight and shifts smoothly, coasts exceptionally well and the saddle is comfortable to me. I would have preferred the dark grey because I feel the blue is a little feminine but on the other hand it has better visibility in lower light. I added a kickstand, phone holder and water bottle cage. Overall I’d say it’s a good, high quality bike that is perfect for my needs. If I was commuting with my bike or using is as a messenger I would probably go up a level to get more gears and a carbon fork. But for fitness rides and rides with my wife and son it’s perfect.
Is there a lot of differences in between the 2020 and 2021 models? Currently looking at a Quick 4 2020 to be exact. I had a quick 5 2021 that I loved, but had to return because it was slightly to large of a size :( so hoping to replace soon.
Seeking clarification please. Why are the Quick 2 and Quick considered more geared toward the "flat bar - road bike" customer. It's just because of the higher quality crankset, right?
These bikes are typically more road bike oriented due to the gearing of the bike as well as the price and component level. They are still recreational bikes but appeal to a more serious crowd who may have already owned a basic fitness hybrid and are looking to upgrade to the next level of performance. The average new rider might not understand the price difference as the benefits will not necessarily be apparent to them.
@@ChrisEnockson Thanks for clarifying. I think the handlebars/stem are also slightly more raised on the Quick 3 and higher as compared to the Quick 1 and 2
So, Quick 1 and Quick 2 got the exact same frame, fork and rims, is that right? I wonder where the 500g difference (10.6kg vs 11.1kg according to the Cannondale web page) in weight comes from. Any thoughts?
No real difference other than look and ease of getting on and off but watch the sizing I believe a large remixtie is slightly smaller than a regular large. I could be wrong about that.
I had a 2018 Quick 3 with the Sora gearing that is similar to the now Quick 2 and let me tell you it was fucking trash. Didn't work well and made a clunking noise straight from new, adjustment didn't help at all. I loved the geometry and riding posture on that bike but the drivetrain was so bad I wouldn't buy it again. I sold it and bought a Canyon Roadlite with Ultegra drivetrain for 300 euros more.

I just got one too from City Grounds. Where did you get yours and how do you plan to assemble?

I’d like to see this with the Quick CX’s as well!
I can do that for you

Sadly the prices of the bikes increased, due to Covid. Quick 6 is 575 as an example.

I’m going to look at a new quick 4 in a bright blue. It just arrived at my local bike shop on Wednesday September 9th.

Sorry my terminology here is not precise!
The 2021 Quick 4 is actually $825. I test rode one yesterday and have been looking for reviews.
The prices of their bikes increased, guessing because of covid
I'd be interested in knowing how the 1 ring up front felt to you.
@@rcnottheway I wound up buying the quick 3. Two rings and a carbon fork

I just paid $650 for the quick 6. Why was it only $500 just a year ago?
Covid has made prices go up 20-30% across the industry.
Hi there can I please know how wide of a tire can we put on these bikes as well I’m interested in that quick 5 disc..
thank you..
I would say 42mm maybe 45mm
@@ChrisEnockson thank you
The price for the quick 1 is now 1600. What a bummer.
How about the weight comparison (eg. for M size)?
Why weight figures are not given in the specs pages?
I unfortunately do not have that information.
What is the body weight rating?
whats the cons on buying the Remixte? (Womens) bike they only have my size (large) instore. For the regular quick 3

Do u think the quick 6 is a good bike getting for $320 as a good starting bike
Yes it is
I have ordered a quick cx 1 for mainly cycle path and trail riding is this a good bike for this type of terrain
Yes
Massive price hikes this year
yeah.. quick 6 is $650
😔
I am torn between the Cannondale quick cx 4 and the Trek DS 2 (both 2021). Any advice?
Buy whichever you can actually find in store.
10:39 I think you mean colorway rather than "color wave".
I really want to use this as a daily commuter but Damm, it’s too pretty it will definitely end up getting stolen
