It’s amazing that he can speak calmly and composed after taking a loss like that. I don’t like speaking calmly after a small embarrassing thing much less something televised. Not even an AJ fan. Just gotta show respect when it’s due

I do agree and respect that about him but for me personally that’s part of the problem with AJ. He fights very much like his personality...too chilled out and relaxed. I think he needs more anger and aggression when he fights because after all...that’s what fighting is about. With his measured and balanced attitude if he could get some controlled anger when he fights he would be far more dangerous in my opinion. But taking nothing away from the guy...he’s a champ no matter what your view is on him 👍

@@lukegill5558 That's so true. When I saw his fight, it pissed me off. You can see his getting battered but he never showed any anger in the latter rounds. Boxers always have that 1 or 2 crazy rounds where they try and go all out. He showed none of that. Exactly what I was thinking, if he jabbed alot of more with anger & aggression it could've turned out different. Even with Ruiz he did the same thing in the first match.

Patrick Howie I was NEVER a Joshua fan until this loss. I was going crazy when Ruiz knocked him out, being a big Ruiz fan and feeling Joshua overrated. Obviously the bet help. This has turned me into a Joshua fan, he took a ludicrously dangerous and risky fight, the public wouldn't have cared if he swerved one bit, and his humble and intelligent response to it made me warm to him. He took a tough loss in a competitive but relatively one sided loss to an all time great cruiserweight, I mean Usyk is up there with Holyfield in that division probably above Haye. I give total respect to how he handled this loss which the general public couldn't see happening. I hope he just FIGHTS Usyk in the rematch. Aggressive and utilizing his size.

I think Joshua needs a new trainer, somebody from the US with a shed-load of experience in the heavyweight division. McCracken has tried some kind of purist, Olympic approach, and Usyk, nine times out of ten, is going to win that one. Joshua has got to make more use of his size and the power of his right hand.

I think Joshua’s always been a reluctant fighter and has had slow feet. He’s the wrong type of fighter for his body type. If Mike Tyson had his body, the world would be in trouble. AJ is a bit of a nice guy in my opinion. He’s not the baddest man on the planet. Joshua’s game needs to be more about timing, skill & finesse. I agree with you. I needs to be vicious and selfish to win. He needed to hit and grab much like what Fury did to wilder. Frustrate Usyk. A.J looked for Usyk's head which is a harder target when he has an entire body to hit. Also i felt his foot work was just not good enough facing Usyk. What i wanted to see was an A.J who tirns counter clock along with Usyk. Neutralize Usyk's right arm with body shot and not let him land his left. I also felt that A.J gave up on his strategy when how energetic Usyk was.A.J lost at many levels

Id say it's solely psychological. His 'Mr sweet nice guy' image is what's hurting him and his game. He gives too much fuck how he appears to others and tries his ass off to accomplish that. But to be King of the jungle, you got to be the lion. His mentality is not of a man who thinks he's the best. He lacks confidence. He gives over pouring amount of respect to his opponents. And you're right, he doesn't have the aggression needed to be a killer. The only way he becomes that is when his opponent shows disrespect, which makes him mad. And this what he needs, to become fucking mad and stop that flowery sweet act bullshit. He should learn from Tyson Fury, that guy carries his ass like a real champ. People may say all they want that Fury is full of himself, cocky and bla bla bla, he gives zero fucks. But to be the champ, you need to feel like a champ and forget the rest.

Acting as if people are dying to see him fight lol without belts he's irrelevant. Fury already said he has no interest in that fight anymore. If you like boxing, why is it suddenly a negative to support the better boxer? Your too tribal. This ain't the world Cup ffs... and why can't fans of a more technical boxer stand by their stance? Many people believe within the match up of Fury vs AJ, AJ would win, simply again down to look over the more technical fighter... now that AJ has lost to a more technical fighter, of course they will come out and emphasise this. The fact that you don't understand makes me think your only into boxing when your countryman watch and fight.

He and his team got the tactics badly wrong. he didn't fight to his strengths he fought
to Usyks strengths. he was never going to outbox the faster superior intelligent boxer
Joshua is not Lennox lewis who could keep guys at bay with his powerful jab and his
superior footwork. Joshua cant do that and he will never learn enough to get to a level
where he can beat Usyk fighting like that. Joshua can only beat Usyk fighting 2 style's
and that's jab and grab and spoiling like Vlad. or he should copy the same tactic that
fury implemented in the wilder 2 rematch. which was to jab grab wrestle and use his
weight to tire him out and brawl on the inside and brawl on the break and use his power.
Both Chisora and Joyce did well better against Usyk because they wasn't scared to
take shot getting on the inside to brawl him up and put the pressure on. Joshua was
a sitting duck last night trying to sit behind his jab and build of that. he basically fell
straight into Usyk hands and fought a style which favoured Usyk like i said joshua is
not Lennox lewis. he need to find a way to use his weight and his power in the rematch.

Good to hear he is motivated to bounce back. There will be a lots of work out and adjustments need to be done compared with the rematch with Ruiz. Tyson fury vs Usyk would be a great boxing fight and can last 15 rounds. I can't Waite to know who will be the undisputed heavy weight champion.

@@Vadeem3 that's okay. That's good. People also don't remember when Roy Jones got knocked out by tarver he didn't go into hiding and came back a couple months later and got washed by journyman glen johnson. A man he woulda toyed with in a previous time. Wilder is actually doing it right. Take time off and away. Reset yourself. We got a good fight ahead of us. All us fans win

@@severusfloki5778 wilder made stupid excuses wether they are true or not. But he believed them. That's all that matters. Joshua is okay with getting beat by a smaller man. He's okay with losing. Wilder is not. He want to kill fury for what he believes. It's mental as much as it's physical. And let's face it. Joshua doesn't have that part of it.

AJ takes a loss like a boss, doesn’t complain much just gets back in the gym and gets to work again.

This was a great fight. AJ adjusted thru the first half and Usyk finished stronger. I don’t know why everyone is knocking him. Give respect where due. True champions
