If youre getting connection attempts from internet then you have port forwarding enabled on your router. Just enabling rdp on windows cannot cause that. This method eliminates router access and you wont get random connection alerts. Definitely more secure

@@piratoraman the domain name is easy to target by bots since the only dynamic part is the random port at the end.

No this wont work for cctv. Your system probably have its own service for connecting over internet. Look for network settings on dvr. ie p2p feature
