I've used this brand for years and they always last at least a year for me, once broke in they are comfortable, but that first few days is rough lol as with any boots lol
Thanks for the review AJ but I'm done with Twisted X after only one pair. They were very comfortable and everything held up except the sole. It seems I'm not alone. My soles started chipping and fracturing a couple months in and came completely separated before their first birthday. I thought it would be an easy warranty but nope. Twisted X said it was normal wear and tear and even suggested I misused them. Leather, stitching, inner fabric are fine. Not sure how it's normal or my fault that the soles fell off in under a year? Hopefully they fixed the problem and other buyers have better luck but I'm done with them forever.
really? I hate to hear that. Ive not had any issues other than normal wear and tear personally. the seams came apart after a couple years and I wore holes in the leather. Well I hope you get another great pair of boots!
I own a landscape and irrigation buisness. These boots have outperformed any boots I ever bought. They are 100% waterproof and durable. Although they are quiet heavy.
I like justins or ariats slip on work boots i work on farms throwing hay bails and cow shit and justins stampead or ariat work hog is what i use im 14 i wore out 3 pairs on my 4th now i may give some twisted x pull ons a try next time
Those are both good brands, I've never personally bought either, but I've heard alot of good things about them. I'm a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kind of guy lol. These boots work great for me and I highly recommend them
How good do the rubber outsole hold up? Is it a problem that they dont have a goodyear welt? Also imma get one pair of these boots and i was wondering how long would the hold up if i didnt use them for work, just everyday normal wear with jeans? But worried that the glued outsole might come off? >
I've not had an issue with the rubber coming off, the only issue I've experienced with these are when the seams finally give out and they aren't water proof anymore. I sewed them back up but it's not water tight at that point so they are useless to me when that happens. If your not working in them I'm sure they would last 3 years plus, but I haven't personally kept a pair that I didn't work in so I can't say for sure.
Once you break them in they really are, but the breaking in period is slightly uncomfortable, at least in my opinion. These are really tough boots, I'm still wearing this same pair and its been almost 2 years now!
I'll be honest I've never heard of those before, I use shoe goo because I can find it easily and that's what the other iron workers said they used. I didn't realize they made specific products for it.
How old are yours? Mine are over a year, in my opinion they have lasted really well for it to just now start tearing up after a year of wearing them daily.
Looking for a my 1st new Tw-X. My 1st pair was given to me used after our house burned 2 Christmas's ago. HellofaBoot they are just now wearing out as I farm, const, & obviously clean up a house fire, which is much harder on shoes than anything I've ever done.
@@BuildStuffwithAJ how comfortable are this boots or this brand.i wear wolverines moc toe 6" boots but they're no that comfortable I want to buy this boots as long they're comfortable.

Just picked up a pair of these bad boys yesterday. Great review man! Makes me feel great about my purchase no doubt.
I really like them, they are a little tough to break in but once you do they are comfortable and and last quite a while. Thanks for the comment
I hear u with square toe being most comfortable. Right on with the review broke in and brand new. I’m fixing to order me some thanks!

Did you get the regular width (E) or extra wide (EE)? I’m about to purchase my first pair of twisted x work boots and can’t decide on size.
I Personally got the (EE) I use to wear size 12 but going that wide made my boots more comfortable and apparently down a size lol
The hole on the toe also ruins the EH resistance on the boot.

They are very heavy, but ill take the extra weight since they are so durable!
How would the fair in a welding shop?
I've welded a lot in them as well. I can't say they will last for ever but I never had any slag burn through my boots before lol.

Give rocky western work boots or redwing 1155 boots a chance
The work hog lace ups are awesome

@@BuildStuffwithAJ wow thank you for the answer! Also can you drive a car or truck in them or is the outsole too thick?:)
@@insanodeathguy2160 Ive driven crars, trucks, and motorcycles with them on and never had a problem.

Why don't you use tuff toe or kg boot guard instead of shoe goo over the toe box! Redwings tough toe would be a lot better than shoe goo.

I approve this message.
On your old pair mine are doing the same thing with the sole.

@@BuildStuffwithAJ about a year and a half.
If I wear 10.5 I’m shoes is that what I should buy the boits
Well I dont know about every one else, but I wear the same size shoe as I do boots.
I don't find boots that are comfortable.
Only craftsman size 13. They last 6 months.

They hold up great! I got lucky and stumbled onto them at an out of business sale years ago. I got my first pair for 1/2 off!
Hey AJ we went to school together hey i was wandering do u sell any of your honey if so id be interested in buying a jar or 2
We mainly keep the bee's so we can supply our families with honey. But we do sell some on occasion.

Square toe have alot more room
I agree completely! that's the main reason I buy square toe boots!
If you spend money to buy boots each year, why not look into Nick's boots. They will last you a lot longer and they will resole them.
