Will there be a longer more detailed video in the future?
it is self explanatory. You simply connect at the unit and than connect the positive and negative wires to the battery. That is what I did and walla.
Have you got any advice on the minimum alternator size for this product please
Thank you for your interest in our products. Regarding the 800W version of the car fast charger, we understand that you may want to know more about the minimum vehicle battery specifications. We would like to emphasize that the car fast charger supports 12V or 24V vehicle rechargeable batteries, and there is no specific battery capacity requirement. We hope this answers your question. If you have any further inquiries, please feel free to reach out to support@ecoflow.com for further assistance.
@@EcoFlowTech what a crap corporate answer
@@EcoFlowTechThat's NOT what the question was. The question was about the size of vehicle ALTERNATOR required to support this device. This is something I also need to know..
@@EcoFlowTech Do better.
I think I have the same concern as you. I’ve never heard of an 800 watt alternator. Here’s our answer I found right on their website.
“No, the 800W alternator charger's charging logic does not rigidly apply 800 watts. Instead, it depends on the power surplus of the car's alternator. It ensures the alternator is not overloaded, allowing up to a maximum of 800 watts without harming the car's battery.”
Just added this system to my 35’ Express Cruiser, simple to install and operate. I have it setup will 400 watts of solar panels and 3 bank of batteries. I set the start up charging at 12volts and charging limit to 400watts, this way I don’t drain the batteries and use the solar panels as main charging. It’s definitely not as quick as it could be at 800watts but it because of my solar limitations, while using the rest of my 12 volt system. Way quicker then using the 12volt outlet
Can this be used for an EV battery? 800w is ton of power.
How do you keep the inverter from draining the battery?
That inverter works 2 ways and keep the battery in good condition
[3-in-1 Charger, Maintainer and Jump Starter] Three integrated features that charge your portable power station, keep your vehicle battery in peak condition and acts as a jump starter when you need it most.
This unit doesn't draw from your vehicle battery, it only draws from the Alternator.
Wann gibt's den in Deutschland?
Ford a Ford Transit with a CCP (consumer connection point) can it be hooked up to the CCP or does it need to be connected directly to the battery?
On the Hobotech youtube review of this, he had to connect directly to the battery on his Sprinter. i.e. not the more accessible jumper port. Probably same with Ford Transit.
Would this work on hybrid plug-in EV vehicles? I know some say you should not boost cars from such vehicles.
wonder the same
Hi, can it be installed on my Toyota 1.3 car?
Did you install it?
Should sell an Anderson plug kit for quick release of your customers have a truck camper or some other reason to disconnect it from the battery
Can be Delta pro charged with Ecoflow alternator charger from 48V 200ah battery (Operating Voltage 43.2V-57.6V)?
Max input voltage is 31V, so you cannot use a 48V system.
How does it work with a Diesel with 2 batteries?
Looks a great idea and setup just the type of thing I need, any ideas if this will come too the UK ?
be excellent in car, work truck & caravan.
Yup, it will be in the UK sooon. Pls stay tuned!
it is compatible with “Delta pro ultra” and “Delta pro 3”
Where are the fuses to protect the wiring?
You missed it. Fuse was a couple inches past the battery ring terminal on the new wiring.
Hi (Andy Smith UK) the Cable you have used from the Vehicle Battery to the Inveter looks like a Factory Manufactured Cable, if it is do you have a Pt #, as I can't find one on the Ecoflow Website? Cheers Andrew
Is this compatible with eTorque engine? Since alternator is replaced with eTorque and additional 48v battery in addition to standard 12v car battery.
That would depend on how the 12V battery and accessories are charged. If the eTorque outputs 48V and uses a DC-DC converter to charge the 12V system, you'd be limited to the output of the converter minus any power draw your vehicle already has on the 12V system.
The EcoFlow alternator charger has a max voltage input of 31V, so it cannot be directly connected to the 48V system.
Nasty bait and switch with those massive barrels on the cable almost touching the connection points. Where are those in all the videos? 🚩
Big open door for Mouse access into the cab😂
whats the difference if you just charge your delta pro to the AC socket of the next gen ranger?
DC charging is more efficient which is what this has. Also comes with 6GA cables to handle the load and again, is more efficient. The cables to the 400W bed outlet are way smaller, so you might not even get 400W at idle. This also enables a power station, like any of the Ecoflow products to balance charge, or reverse charge to your trucks battery.
AC plugs (9v) on all vehicles only charge at 8 Watts and draw/ drain power from your vehicle battery. This takes power from the ALTERNATOR instead of the battery, and charges, adjustable with the App, all the way up to 800 Watts.
It started a gd we video. Then you ruined it at the end.
Why did you notbshow it charging how long it took etc etc.
can u get this In the uk
Thank you for your attention. There is no news yet. Please stay tuned to the official website for further updates. Cheers.

@@EcoFlowTech for $600 you're robbing people blind. No thanks, I'll stick with my $129 inverter that's been working great for years. 🙄
If connected to a ford Transit CCP1 (60A), is there a way to keep this from exceeding the rating? (800w @ 12v = 66.6 amps). Is there a way to have the dc to dc charge a generic 12 battery - not using a proprietary ecoflow connection?
Very good question - I am happy to stick to my Victron DC-DC charger in my DIY Ford Transit 250.
The app has a setting to limit the maximum output power, so you should be able to keep it under 60A.
Nice
What a joke. $600? That's absolutely ridiculous. For a fraction of that you can install an inverter and accomplish the same thing. I've been doing it for years with no problem. This thing should be $250 tops.
I have a dc to dc, but I bought this and used my a coupon code of $200. Call ecoflow they will give you the code. For $399 not bad
Pure sine wave for $250?
Why would you install an inverter for DC to DC charging?
@@SaltySeabee yes. I have a 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter I got on Amazon for $129. Works fantastic. $600 for what essentially is the same thing with less output is outrageous.
You'll get the charger for free with the Delta 2, 110w solar panel, and Hobo Tech discount code. All for 939.00
Delta 2: 999.00
110w solar panel: 210.00

Amazon has a como Delta 2 and charger for 889.00

Eco flow is garbage. I’ve been dealing with them for months to get a refund. Stay as far away from this company as you can.
Specifics?
@@voyasystem one of my eco flow pros burned up running a refrigerator, which is 1/10 of it’s capacity. I have had to threaten the company with the attorney general in order to get them to agree to give me a 50% refund, which 3 months later has still not been placed into my account. They sent me a replacement that was also broken, which I returned. They do customer service in India, I can’t understand anything they say until I get to a manager or their legal department. This company shouldn’t be allowed to sell items in the united states as it’s just a bunch of scam artists.
@@ducksmart1496Well that isn't what I wanted to hear. I specifically bought from this company a few days ago because I had seen many reviews about great customer service, and there's a 5 year warranty. Your case is a little different, but I thought their products were top notch. This shouldn't happen with a quality product. However, U say they DID sent you a replacement. How long, may I ask, did you have your unit before this unfortunate incident happened, and #2 what specifically do you mean the replacement was "broken"?
@@ServantOfJesusChrist777 my unit sat for five months and then burned up using a refrigerator. They offered me a 50% refund. This has been a very disappointing experience. The replacement they sent was busted up in many places and I wasn’t going to accept that. I didn’t even turn the pro on before requesting a return shipping label. It was in bad shape.
@@ducksmart1496 thanks for your response. That's not good news... and sorry this happened to you.
Horrible cable design you can’t route it into a truck bed camper setup. Lost my business for this.
If ecoflow could guarantee that it would not cause any damage to my alternator in my 2023 promaster or anything else in my vehicle I would buy one. They should have come up with something they could guarantee by working with Ford and dodge and Mercedes. They can't guarantee squat.
No product will guarantee stuff like that.
grow up Opie
@@SS-cu4hf I bet that hurt your brain.
Nice! I’m curious if the 2nd Generation would charge over 800W. I might just wait instead.
Question
I don't see the Delta Max battery listed as compatible, only the Delta 2 Max, can you confirm if the Delta Max battery is compatible since it has the correct connector?
Hi Jake, yes, it's compatible with both DELTA Max 2000 & DELTA Max 1600.
It is on sale $200
Montage BS.
What a joke, ppl plz don't fall for this, just buy a DC to DC charger, which is what this is but it has a fancy name that will trick the uneducated.
It also has reverse charging and maintenance mode.
you can't charge a portable battery station with a DC to DC charger
@@GordonTamf35 You actually can by using the solar charger port. You just need the correct cable.
@@dubious6718 as explained in tinkerer’s video. Yes you can but the current is capped and power is therefore limited for 12V. You can only do fast charging by using a dc transformer and increase the voltage to 40V+
Just a question will the alternator charger work together with 1000w solar
It does not support it at the moment.
Is it ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO BLOW MY EARS OUT with that L O U D P O R N NOISE EVERY 5 SECONDS ?!?!?! DOES ANYONE HAVE A LINK TO A PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION VIDEO WITHOUT BLOWING MY DAMN EAR DRUMS OUT WITH B L A R I N G - N O I S E AND RAISING MY BLOOD PRESSURE 159 POINTS ?!?!?! 🤬
Can I connect this to my AGM "house battery" inside my van. It is a 115 Amp Hour AGM and is charged from the vehicle 130 amp alternator with a battery isolator.
Brilliant project congratulations/I WILL ANALISE OPORTUNITY
How short was the cable after managing it in the engine bay?
Cable is 17 feet long
@@HebrewNomadOverlander Hi, yes I know it's 17' but I had to run about 20' from the battery in the same corner to the my inverter to a similar location in my Xterra. Was hoping to see what the end result look like if after the cable was nicely tucked away, I'm pretty sure you're a couple of feet short too ;)
@@VancouverTrailShreddersYa, my minivan is 16.5 feet. By the time the cable is routed around under and through things I will have to put this under the driver seat and hope the cable to my Delta 2 is long enough to put the main unit wherever I want.
@@ServantOfJesusChrist777 oh yeah, that's going to be tight depending on where your battery is located. But EF is aware of it now, I've brought it up a couple of times, hopefully they'll come with a longer battery cable.
Get a generator for a fraction of the price and your done
What size wire is used? Does it come with the wires?
Can river 2 pro be used?
It only works for delta series from what I’ve seen
How do you charge the extra battery on the Ecoflow Delta 2? Do you have to manually disconnect the Delta 2 and then plug in directly to the extra battery?
If I charge on AC or Solar power, I leave the extra battery connected via the XT-150 cable and it charges both.
The battery pack cannot be charged independently. It must be connected to a product with charging capabilities, such as the Delta 2 main unit, using the XT150 connector to charge together. Alternatively, it can be connected to other compatible main units.
@@EcoFlowTech Doesn't the Delta 2 only have one XT150 connector? This XT150 is the connector that links the extra battery to the Delta 2, right? If the Delta 2 is connected to the extra battery already and using the XT150 connector, how do I connect the 800W Alternator Charger?
Is it compatible with delta 2?
Yes, mine came as a package with a Delta 2
Basically in theory you connect a surge protector run an electric motor to spin two or three alternators (not sure if in series or parallel) connect to the ecoflow alternator. Maybe a possible infinity generator. might need a windmill resistor for overcharge bleedoff.
Can't wait for this product to come out. The reversed charging is also very useful. That also mean I can turn on fan or play music longer without engine running. Very nice for long trip and sleep in vehicle.
Product is already out. I ordered mine and awaiting
