Today we have a game submission from subscriber Ben, who has left us with less than 2000 men to fight off 4 wars he got himself into. He was playing a game where he wanted to reform the Slavs but things got a little of out control. Will we be able to save it? You'll have to watch to find out 👀

You are going to have to create another Hybrid culture with a Slavic culture so you can do the Unite the Slavs decision. Because when Zieley did the Greek hybrid culture he made it where the heritage was Byzantine instead of East Slavic technically making you no longer a Slavic culture.
Offended African - when you started that save, was it a character creator run that replaced Jarl Dyre on the Map?
I always love Zieley's videos! The combo of calm voice, detailed but accessible explanations, and funny yet nondistracting memes = top notch! I also highly appreciate that he never makes fun of the viewers who submit files- or any of the in-game cultures, for that matter. He deserves a million subscribers!

Because he took Greek heritage? Possibly. At least he has malleable invaders for the 4th hybrid back to Slavic.
yeah, the ben will have to change cultures or re-hybridize and take one of the slavic roots to be able to unite the slavs. smh zieley goin off and becoming greek
I absolutely love your editing style. Something about your super calm delivery and clear, concise explanations make the memes hit different.
One last thing- I speak Russian so I noticed you mispronounce Novgorod sometimes! It's pronounced like Nov-gah-road, emphasis on the last syllable. (I wouldn't expect someone to just know that without speaking Russian, so please don't feel like I'm calling you out for messing up. I just thought you might want to know. I personally always struggle with the Norse and Irish names in CK3!)

How to restart your game with extra steps:
Whenever I see you’ve posted I drop everything. I’m not even a big fan of the game but you are so damn 1337. I really enjoy the editing too. The memes get me every time.

This is like Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares, but with less abuse.
Good video, but you've kinda messed up with Unite the Slavs by not picking East Slavic heritage. Also "Byzantine Traditions" is too good to pass up (unless you don't want it for roleplay reasons), as it gives you very easy access to Dread gain just by blinding/castrating even commoners.

These disaster saves are what happens when you get tunnel vision and don't focus on you're entire realm

Easily one of my favorite CK3 RUclipsrs! Really liked this latest video and have learned so much from this channel that's helped my gameplay. I wanted to ask if by not choosing "East Slavic" traditions did that invalidate the "Unite the Slavs" decision? Also, the Byzantine Traditions would've helped a LOT with succession issues since it would prioritize children "Born in the Purple". Just a question (+suggestion)!

Love your content mate! I'll say this though, people give up way to easy, like most of this things can easily be solved with just a bit of patience and careful maneuvering. Solving fires is like 90% of the fun for this game.

Can't wait to see more disastrous games! Especially ones where there's no chance of winning the wars, so you have to take the land back. I find these the most interesting! I've sent one, and I'm not sure if it can be saved at all .D
As for thoughts on future videos, I'd love to see you play in the east more, as there're some really interesting options for religions (like pacifistic ones) and cultures there.
I don't even play this game and I don't know if I ever will, but I always find myself stuck watching these videos. Love the work man
13:31 you can pick up perks from other trees, you just have to set a focus before you can grab them. So you could still get the stewardship perk with a martial focus
Holding a dutchy with vassals does actually boost their Feudal obligations in tax and men, at the expense of their opinion. It also makes sense for him to Hold Plock, because it's a holy site for his faith. Centralizing around Byzantium still isn't a bad idea, though it is tough to do during a war.
This man not only built a world wide empire but destroyed it and yet I struggle with conquering jus Scotland this game makes my brain hurts

When hybridizing the culture at 21:50 you picked greek heritage over east slavic, thereby removing the ability to take the decision. Poor Benjamin will never have his slavs united.
Kinda ruined the whole unite the slavs decision with the byzantine heritage, but still really great job with that whole mess.

Could you once do a Asia game where you try to form or reform a great empire from scratch?
The original player was going for the either of Unite the Slavs decisions, you abandoned that with selecting Byzantine heritage, in result having no culture-specific decisions of your own. In that case, you could switch to Orthodox to get Hagia Sophia bonus, and go for claiming Byzantine Empire for yourself. Also, I don't like custom empires since they tend to screw up the map, I would go for Carpathia empire since you were really close to get it.

Classic, every time I ge close to Uniting the Slavs the minute my military is decreased on a war to ge the land needed, claimant faction wins and destroys my land, losing wars, territory and once I replenish my troops and regain back the empire I need to get land back.

Not lost when you form new next culture with previous heritage or accept from gurdian needed culture with this heritage or even move capital in realm with this culture (then unite slavs and return to Constatinople by decision and accept his culture by next heir)
