Probably having a blast while distracting my team I wanted to spawncamp him. To crush him. The pinnacle of mid tier and off-meta I wanted this for self-affirmation, and I deviated from my true self.
He doesn’t just block some of these, he also completely negates them for anyone behind him. For example, if Doctor Strange does his big stun ultimate and Captain America blocks it, any allies standing behind him also don’t get stunned.
I’m fairly certain I was able to block bucky’s ultimate today. I looked directly forward towards the center of the impact and I didn’t have his execution mark on me. I would try testing that for anyone curious.
Some people thought the deflect would be op, turns out in the heat of battle and that the shield still takes damage and its random spread makes it not as good as peeps thought. Iron man gets hard countered as usual
Since Cap's damage block is direction based, once we have more info on where the hitboxes are for most attacks, we'll probably have more data on what it can and cannot block. Bucky might be one of those characters where the majority of the damage comes from the ground impact and not so much the tendrils from his arm.

There is a big difference between deflecting and blocking. Deflecting is literally just a uno reverse half of these are blocks

That is probably because the arm itself goes through the shield and impacted the ground behind him, hitting him from the back.
I was expecting this to be effective against way less stuff. Even if most of these aren’t true deflections, it’s still extremely useful.
