I have a Sage EAS Endec to automatically relay alerts over the ham radio frequency on my property. Im eventually gonna set up a repeater on my grandads old tower he used to use for his repeater when he still had his logging business.
You can find an old non-CAP compliant EAS boxes for relatively cheap. Heck, if a TV or radio station still has one on the shelf they'd probably just give it to you
The board is still in development but we have several completed boards. Probably would sell for around $35 in its current form with just the board and no enclosure or ports on it. You'd have to solder your connections to the board.
Let me know if you'd be interested in us making the NOAA interface board available for sale!
how much do they run???
@@taylorhooper5957 we haven't decided on a price yet
@@ScuffedRadiowhen you do please let me know I would like to intergrate this into my ARES repeater system ko4hyt
@@taylorhooper5957 Will do!
I would be interested in that board! Also, what are the two chips your using? I'm guessing they are to detect the two tones of the SAME data?

@@JakeBechtold i got my endec on ebay for about 100 bucks. Does exactly what i need it to. Its the old gray one. Model 1822
very nice idea for people that dont have weather band alert function on there radio!
100%!
that is amazing work. love the diy antenna :)
Nice project
where I live we have a 1050hz tone instead of a 2-tone attention signal.
I believe this is a 1050hz tone as well
That's a really neat project. I'd be interested in it, if you develop them for sale.
I have a few extra of the prototype board you see in the video, I may design a 3d printed enclosure for them and make them available
How much for one of those boards with the S.A.M.E technology

@@ScuffedRadio cool! Any software for the board?
@@CHS1997 it's ran by an arduino nano so if you want to modify how it works you'd just need the arduino programming software.
@@ScuffedRadio perfect! Thanks
Just use a Motorola Maxtrac or GM300 for NOAA weather.
I will swap it out with one of those eventually whenever I see one for a great price
@@ScuffedRadio ok
