Akiko Miki, ex senior e chief curator al Palais de Tokyo di Parigi e attualmente Direttore Artistico Internazionale del parco di Naoshima, ci racconta di Benesse Art Site Naoshima, l’istituzione nata con l’obbiettivo di creare spazi nuovi ed evocativi, accostando l’arte e l’architettura contemporanea alla natura incontaminata del Mare Interno di Seto, un paesaggio con un ricco tessuto culturale e storico.

The relationship between art and the natural landscape in the history of some of the world’s leading contemporary art initiatives.
Akiko Miki, former senior and chief curator at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris and currently International Artistic Director of Benesse Art Site Naoshima, will be talking to us about this project developed for the past 30 years on three Japanese islands, founded with the intention of creating new and evocative spaces, bringing contemporary art and architecture into contact with the natural environement of the Seto Inland Sea, a landscape with a rich cultural and historical fabric.
