LYRICS:
Just a few hours after the sunrise,
On the resurrection day,
Two men from Emmaus walked and talked along their way;
When all of a sudden from out of nowhere,
Came a one that seemed to be so wise;
Unbeknownst to either,
They were talking with the christ.
On the road to Emmaus they met Jesus,
And he came and spoke to them;
He opened the scripture,
So their eyes could plainly see;
That he was the only god, jehovah,
Conquering death at calvary;
On the road to Emmaus where they met Jesus,
Grant that I may walk with thee.
O, that I could have the chance like they did,
Just to hear the savior teach
From out of the scriptures,
From beginning to the end;
But I have the spirit living within me,
And he teaches me the word;
Oh, how sweet it is to know,
That I have fellowship with him.
On the road to Emmaus they met Jesus,
And he came and spoke to them;
He opened the scripture,
So their eyes could plainly see;
That he was the only god, jehovah,
Conquering death at calvary;
On the road to Emmaus where they met Jesus,
Grant that I may walk with thee.
On the road to Emmaus they met Jesus,
And he came and spoke to them;
He opened the scripture,
So their eyes could plainly see;
That he was the only god, jehovah,
Conquering death at calvary;
On the road to Emmaus where they met Jesus,
Grant that I may walk with thee.
About a dozen years ago, we heard this song at a community Easter service. So me, my brother, and my sister learned it and have been singing it together ever since.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE NON-SPEER SONGS!
Faith Hill used to sing with this group in the 80's. I love to hear this group sing.
That’s awesome!! 😮
I didn’t know that!!
I have their first two LP record albums. 16 year old Faith Hill, credited as Faith Perry, is on the front cover of the second album from 1984 with a bad 1980s big hair style.

Who is the young boy singing
Me
I honestly like this version better than the older ones. When Gold city sung it, I didn't like the high pitched soprano of that blond haired brother who sings with gold city.
who is this guy next to mary lowery in this video? I know the one next to him Mark is David.
His name is Aaron Wilburn.
Thank you for answering my question. Love this song.
@@Pjparty69 your welcome.
If you mean at 3:33, saying "Yeah!" That's J.D. Sumner, very deep-voiced bass singer. He died in 1998, was a long-time frequent guest on Gaither shows.
Hi someone told me who the guy was that next to Mark lowery in this vedio.
I love God and Jesus my lord and savior. As a gay man I kiss my boyfriend many times with this song. God bless USA
They have a son named Brad. Shame he didn’t get the same musical talent they have.
Wesley Barnes he actually is very talented.
Plays piano and sings.
They have a new single coming out on Friday which he not only sings on but co-wrote.
It’s called A Song To Remind You.
If you look at their newer songs posted on RUclips he is on there singing and playing the piano.

@@shortybarnesyanik I'm sorry Mishel but Brad is not good. He is a heathen.
@@stephenlong2412 I don’t share your opinion.
Good day to you sir.
The guy with the lithp is a little much. Needs to tone it down. And, did he have a stroke?
How rude. I think you are a little much!
@@31650woman Ha Ha! Atta girl, Sandi!
Do you have diarrhea of the mouth? 🤷🏻♂️
Bet that lithhhhhp has brought more cheddar to his checking and savings than your butt ever has. 😂
That is Troy and he is an awesome Christian and singer.
