The Philippines didn't lose Sabah. How could the Philippines lose Sabah when they didn't own it in the first place? The Philippines claims Sabah on the basis that Sabah was said to be once under Sulu. Sulu only claimed that Sabah was given by Brunei to Sulu as a gift for purportedly helping Brunei fight rebels. But Brunei refuted this claim and denied ever having given Sabah to Sulu. There was NO DOCUMENT regarding the transfer of ownership of Sabah from Brunei to Sulu signed by both Sultans.
@analizalibertad4477 , if you don't know anything, don't make any comment. Not in 1964 but in 1963. Didn't matter when a country existed, it could be in 1000 B.C. But if the country didn't own the territory it meant that the country didn't own it. Yes, Malaysia only existed in 1963 and Sabah is a component state of Malaysia since then. This was well documented, confirmed and clearly stated in the United Nations Malaysia Mission Report, "Final Conclusion of the Secretary-General", 14 September 1963. The last sentence of the report says: "I fervently hope that the people of these territories will achieve progress and prosperity, and find their fulfillment as component states of Malaysia".
nah this present time we dont need sabah, we are focusing on china s creeping invasion of our teritory..compared to china philippine dispute in SCS ,sabah dispute is much more complicated issue..

Con suerte, Sabah será la decimoctava región y se llamará Región de Alvarecia. Se dividirá en 3 provincias que se llamarán Nueva Zamboanga, Nueva Pasonanca e Zamboanga De Borneo. Yes. ICJ doesn't recognise any claim based on history. Two good examples: i) Dispute between the Philippines and China. China claimed most part of South China Sea aka Nine Dash Lines based on history. The claim was rejected by ICJ and the Philippines won. ii) Dispute on Sipadan and Ligitan Islands between Malaysia and Indonesia. The Philippines made an application to intervene with a reason that the Philippines had a claim on Sabah based on history. Their application was rejected with the reason that the Philippines could not make a claim based on history.

"War"? We had been hearing this kind of rhetoric since 30, 40, 50 years ago.
The Filipino military is simply too weak to even fight pirates off Mindanao, what more take on the Malaysian military.
