Shauf’s chord progressions in contrast to other artists’ sound somehow weird & new, and so warm & familiar at the same time; it’s like meeting with a friend you haven’t seen in 30 years. ‘The Party’ is just so nice.
It truly does sound like a song you knew about once upon a time and re-listened to recently, right? I think the album is a landmark for music, personally.
There’s a lot of Beatles influence here.

This guy has such a unique voice... love it! I keep listening to this over and over. The people that don’t like his voice probably know nothing about being unique and like the same old stuff all the time. This guy shows that he’s not a follower of others but wants to make his own unique sound. I think it’s great!

@@RicardoMontania you think so? I'll have to give a listen again. It's possible but I think the style is unique. I never use auto tune because I hate it. Less auto tune, more reality is what I say
@@RicardoMontania it is possible there is a small amount of auto tune compared to what rap uses.... But if you can sing crisp like me, singing it without auto tune works. I may post a cover showing so. I've played guitar for 20 years and sang for 7.
@@Kylegatzke1997 At 0:49 you can hear it when he first starts to sing, that kind of robotic note jump. But still I wouldn't discredit the use of auto tune, it's just a tool nowadays, it's just been polished to sound better I guess... It's still a beautiful song no doubt about that 💓

I find Andy's voice unclear and narrow. On NPR, with just a condenser microphone in front of him makes both his voice and the guitar very bright.
What are you listening through? Because his voice sounds clear as anything on my studio monitors.
