So you don’t need a screw to hold the thermistor in place just heat resistant tape?
what about the dome headed screw!!!???
Sur une tête neuve n'ayant jamais servie, effectivement c'est très simple.
To make a very simple and immediate improvement to this temperature sensor (thermistor), add some thermal grease to fill the hole. That thermistor should not be just sitting in the hole.
You need the correct one. First one I tried was some old, maybe too dry to fill the hole. Then I bough some cheap new and it was probably only for low temperatures (as I look now, most of them are) and it boiled out, while smelling like cancer.
You mean like a thermal paste used also between the fan and processor of a PC ?
You are an angel. The only video on RUclips that actual shows exactly where the smaller temp wire goes. Thank you
you are welcome, we are glad to know that you like it
so just the tip goes in the hole?
When I had to do this the thermistor would not come out. I contacted their tech support, and after a conversation, and me sending them pictures, it turns out that they have added a retaining screw for the thermistor that does not show here.
I had the same issue and found easiest to remove the fan and then use the smallest hex wrench given in the tool kit. Another issue on top of that was the screw bolt embedded was stuck so I had to fondle it with a mini flat head driver to the same direction as I was loosening with the hex wrench. Remember when tightening lefty loosey, righty tighty. After I installed new sensor the max temp error went away and was successful! Hope that helps the next guy & thanks David :)
I was thinking the same, drill a hole and put a prisioner bolt if thats what its called, do you recomend this? I dont trust in putting a paste to hold the thermistor, what if it turns wrong and I'll want to take it off
