The International Monetary Fund (IMF) presented the latest World Economic Outlook today. As per the latest report, India's economy is expected to remain robust, leading major economies with growth projections of 7.0% in 2024 and 6.5% in 2025, unchanged from the July outlook. However, the IMF has lowered China’s growth forecast for this year to 4.8%, warning that Beijing’s property woes could worsen. This revision reflects the ongoing weakness in the property sector and low consumer spending, which are partially countered by increased net exports. While the IMF maintained its 2025 growth forecast at 4.5%, it did not factor in the potential impact of China's newly announced fiscal stimulus measures, as the details of these plans are still unclear.
