A very clever man, says it how it is in a few words but he knows his trade, always admire guitar techs as I have trouble tuning a 12 string but what this guy knows could fill a hall. Great interview. Thanks for this, and I always love to listen to Lindsay's guitar playing, it made FM.
Why'd it take me so long to watch this rig rundown?? This is one of the coolest I've seen in a long time! So many rock guys all seem to have basically the same three variations on the same three rigs:P More power to him!
I watched him play from first row at twitter center in nj with fleetwood Mac and he is the best I have ever seen live, and I have gone to a shit load of concerts mostly at the old Philadelphia Spectrum.
Just recently saw Lindsey a couple months ago on this tour, it was just him but you could see his tech from the side of the stage passing him a new guitar like every song so it's funny to get a look at what was really going on back there lol he had fantastic tone though, great solo stuff he's come out with!
Fleetwood Mac isn't in my CD player and I'm not a mega fan of Lindsey, being a metalhead/lover of jazz fusion...but damn those Rick Turners are interesting guitars. Way ahead of their time. They remind me of a super high end boutique experimental piece from a premium luthier in the 2010s
yeah I saw it, but there is nothing at all about Jack's equipment, only that segment where he builds simplified guitar. and The Edge just explains the way he came up with elevation riff. although that movie was a great inspiration to me
I think it's amazing that Lindsey doesn't use this big pedalboards. The fact that guys from the 70's basically got all their skills from playing with the guitar tones.
It's interesting that Lindsey doesn't use the parametric EQ on his Model-1s yet he still has them on the guitars, because that guitar really bites when it's overdriven,
Pretty funny how they skipped the Gibson Chet Atkins Cutaway Electric Classical guitar that he uses on "Big Love". Rick Turner sponsored the video, so I can see why they skipped it, but the Chet Atkins is no longer in production. Rick is a super cool guy and I believe his Renaissance guitars are way better than the Gibson Chet Atkins guitars, both electronically and physically.
sure, and hee also uses digitech whammy, compression sustainer, and amps fender twin reverb & sears silvertone. but it would be nice to see all the little deatils and stories about gear an guitars in premierguitar style
To the audience it sounds perfect and consistent. The DD-3 is a very solid pedal. The same could be said with the GR-50 synths. Pretty antiquated compared to the VG-99 & GR-55. It's just solid, tried and true reliable gear. Thank god Linds keeps it down to earth, well, except for the Turners! :)
Hello Me! It's been a while. So much has happened that you couldn't imagine surviving back then. Hang in there, it will get tolerable if not better some day. I thank you for somehow living and feeling this advice without having read it. :)
''Clean shirt, Closed shoes. Had no idea 'bout what I was going to do. So give me some water as fast as you can! bc every man get's crazy from this sharp tech man!'' - Billy Gibbons.
I had no idea Lindsey had so many of those electric guitars!! I always thought he only used one. But then again I don't know a lot abou guitars. And thinking about it actually doesn't make sense that he would only have one.
whatched it, but there is not alot information about his tig, the edge explains a little bit about his process of rig but jack only builds that simple version of guitar
it's interesting after watching several of these, that when asked what do all the knobs on the guitar do? the tech will say, they're all by-passed, all that's working is volume and tone... Hmmm, might be a reason there.
Yep...I hadn't made it to that part of the video yet and I thought it was weird how they skipped over the Gibson at first...I guess they edited that part for time because they did eventually cover just that guitar as you say...
Yessir. Preamp from a Sony TC630 to be exact. Switched to the first Mesa Boogie MKI / II in the late 70s with the Hiwatt cabs and there was a time where he was using Marshall heads with the Hiwatt cabs. Some ppl here are giving him a hard time for using Mesa's even with just a clean tone, though those Mesa's are LOUD with a massive amount of headroom. You don't get that with many other amps.
I would have loved the explanation on why the knobs on the Boss overdrive have a spring zip tied connecting the center and right knob... almost as if one will adjust the other if turned
He has a habit of dragging the cable over the knobs and screwing up the settings. . I do this to keep the knobs from moving. I adjust the the output on only one song to get more gain. So,, Hope this answers your question.
For a man that primarily uses a clean tone, the Dual Rectifiers are an odd choice. I understand he's only using the clean channel, but it seems a waste...
Crazy tunings, very interesting, I like to pick a guitar up a play, experimenting with crazy tunings is not my thing, that tech has alot of work to do.
Don't forget his new gears : Some custom Amps that I don't know the brand. Light Blue Telecaster with Bigsby Style whammy bar. Fender Twin Reverb And so on...
Don't think we'll see Jack White give away the secrets to his tone, caught a glimpse of his on stage pedal board and they are all the same blunderbus theme coloured smompboxes
most musicians do overkill. (EX: as a METAL guitarist, I never ever EVER use any amps. I go DI no matter the size of the show, and i've been doing that for 20 years. Every guitarist calls it sacrilege... until I start playing.) (And I had a headless flying V (!) long before Strandberg... cuz MORE EFFICIENT.) (EX: as a drummer, I've toured the world...with my kit... IN MY SHOULDER BAG!! I used a Roland drumpad with 6 rubber squares which I only play with two arms, no legs. AT FIRST, every drummer scoffs...until I start playing! Sounds incredible! Again, no amps. DI. Takes me 13 seconds to set my drumkit up!)
just saw a vid of him on a morning show. doing one song. he had this whole rig set up. i guess if you have tech's and you don't have to do it yourself why not?
Two Boss pedals into the front of the amp. No BS, just shut up and play your guitar. Love it.
Yeah, me too. He's a fantastic player.
This dude is a master tech. Really knows his stuff.
everything but what the fret board is. haha
"There's a special control on the back, tell us about it." "It's called a 'bolt'."
The tone and versatility he gets from either the Turner or Taylor is incredible. I just watched the 2003 Boston concert again.
A very clever man, says it how it is in a few words but he knows his trade, always admire guitar techs as I have trouble tuning a 12 string but what this guy knows could fill a hall.
Great interview. Thanks for this, and I always love to listen to Lindsay's guitar playing, it made FM.
Explaining complex configurations takes a brilliant man. Thanx Stanley.
I'm very far from brilliant,, but thanks. Just a man with a bad hangover, trying to explain the rig.
Hey uses this on a song called "come."
Right after that, they do "lick my love pump."
Shouldn't they do that one first?
They do "lick my love pump" with there amps to volume 11.
Then they do Big Jizz, followed by Load.
Just what I was thinking haha
At least its not a song called cum
Nicely done Stanley. Lindsey is no easy chore! Keep up the good work my brother!
Wow. That guitar tech earns
his keep!
Cracks me up when he says this is used on a song called and then sighs pauses and says come...
Those Model Ones are probably the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen.
To me they look like a platypus
Premier Guitar's Rig Rundown is my favorite channel ever!
Those turners he plays look like an electric violin very cool.... Never seen another player use them.... And his taylors are gorgeous......
john mayer uses them
Jerry Garcia used the first one called peanut.
Why'd it take me so long to watch this rig rundown?? This is one of the coolest I've seen in a long time! So many rock guys all seem to have basically the same three variations on the same three rigs:P More power to him!
I think it explains why his licks are so unique. Using different tunings forces the player to do new things.
I watched him play from first row at twitter center in nj with fleetwood Mac and he is the best I have ever seen live, and I have gone to a shit load of concerts mostly at the old Philadelphia Spectrum.
Spectrum !

Lindsay is an alien period. some of these tunings are wild and super cool of course
he uses it on a song called "come"......
I could spend all day getting showed a pros setup, this is a bit of a Frankenstein rig, Crazy, thoroughly enjoyed Jason 👍
and give the the guy a break he's a guitar tech they very rarely get interviewed
rich or drink water
Fleetwood Mac isn't in my CD player and I'm not a mega fan of Lindsey, being a metalhead/lover of jazz fusion...but damn those Rick Turners are interesting guitars. Way ahead of their time. They remind me of a super high end boutique experimental piece from a premium luthier in the 2010s
He used to play on a white Les Paul Custom only. That was in a time when he made terrific music.
All these different tunings are real proof that Lindsey can "Go his own way".
Give this dude some water!!
lmao
@@widowmaker5544 Pocket texts...
I like the sound the Turner's make. it's a unique guitar
All this gear could make you Go Insane...
This guys mouth is making the sound of Macaroni and Cheese.
I don't know why but that cracked me up
Am i wrong tho?! dude I cant listen to it without thinking about mac n cheese. weirding myself out.
I read this comment and couldn't watch another second of the video... The guy has Kraft Mouth for sure..
You're not wrong lmao. I hear it too. I just didn't realize he actually sounded like that until I came across your comment.
yeah, he needs some water....bet his breath is rank...
Tech seems like a good guy actually.
Whilst he's not exactly media trained, his skills are guitars and amps, I would guess
Media trained?
I love my Taylor, best guitar I ever had.
I love his acoustic guitars they always looked amazing
Never listened to Lindsey that much, but those Turner's are beautiful!
yeah I saw it, but there is nothing at all about Jack's equipment, only that segment where he builds simplified guitar. and The Edge just explains the way he came up with elevation riff. although that movie was a great inspiration to me
(@ 7:50) I try and put a lot of lube on the nuts too.
Sounds a bit rude.
sounds like a good idea to me
Then strap a capo real tight around my neck.
Amazing stuff on there. WHO KNEW?
A david gilmour rig rundown would be awesome, but would probably take 48 hours to get through...:-)
James Everall gilmourish.com is as close as it gets for now !
And probably won't tour again, saw him with floyd in 87, 88, and 94 solo in 2016
Same as Alex Lifeson
Nice wave woody setup. Love the sandals
notice the string tree on the first one, there was also one on the prototype one, I find those little details interesting, wish they talked about that
Nice rundown, Jason does a good job. Stanley's lip smackin' and no eye contact = a couple rails before the cameras were rolling!
Maybe 3 rails...one electrified.
Beat rock band yellow submarine album
Laughed out loud at this. You, sir, win the internet.
Proud that Premier Guitar is from Iowa!!!! IA!!!!
Those guitars are crazy nice
I think it's amazing that Lindsey doesn't use this big pedalboards. The fact that guys from the 70's basically got all their skills from playing with the guitar tones.
It's interesting that Lindsey doesn't use the parametric EQ on his Model-1s yet he still has them on the guitars, because that guitar really bites when it's overdriven,
I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm going to have to go over some videos of him. Must be his rig because it has always sounded like he used it
Pretty funny how they skipped the Gibson Chet Atkins Cutaway Electric Classical guitar that he uses on "Big Love". Rick Turner sponsored the video, so I can see why they skipped it, but the Chet Atkins is no longer in production. he really was trying to avoiding saying the name of that song hahah

You guys gotta do a rig rundown for Peter Hook!
thanks for pluggin them in and showing some tones etc. oy
You guys are killing me with the comments on his mouth sounds! Hilarious! Sounds like cottonmouth to me...
People that eat Chinese food often sound like this especially if they order
the Kum of Sum Yung Guy.
Would have been nice to hear some of those guitars being played
Fire the cameraman...
please do a rr on fleetwood mac! im sure its been discussed, but now that mike c and neil finn are in the group, im even more interested in their rr!
dang nice rig, impressive tech !
mark norris

I volunteer to buy Premiere a de-esser...or an ADR session
Dear camera person,
Go home, you're drunk.
great video...
i agree, i see those in so many rigs. That pedal turned me off to delay pedals for a long time. then i tried the carbon copy.
Has a mesa dual rec, runs it clean with an sd1 for distortion. take that amp snobs!
Kinda wish Lindsey brought out his Les Paul Custom & Tele for this tour….
Nice such an awesome underrated guitarist!
I guess you're right. first was the "Meg secret", and now his tone
''Clean shirt, Closed shoes. Had no idea 'bout what I was going to do. So give me some water as fast as you can! bc every man get's crazy from this sharp tech man!'' - Billy Gibbons.

cool! I wish I had this stuff!
I had no idea Lindsey had so many of those electric guitars!! I always thought he only used one. But then again I don't know a lot abou guitars. And thinking about it actually doesn't make sense that he would only have one.
Lindsey is just something else down there his rig.
Ultracase is the go to guitar stand in all these rig rundowns... Who doesn't use them haha
whatched it, but there is not alot information about his tig, the edge explains a little bit about his process of rig but jack only builds that simple version of guitar

but back in the day he used hiwatts and 75 les paul custom with an old preamp from a sony tape deck

@@ChrsGuit Neil Schon uses foam under his guitar knobs... Whatever it takes.

blearious especially considering their clean channel is a joke.
He's not using the clean channel (or any of the amp's preamp); signal is going straight into the power amp
Totally agree! Must be a payday
He has plenty of songs that he rocks and uses distortion. I’m so afraid is one that comes To mind
is there a vdo ever when lindsay played ' never going back on his Model 1 ?
Fleetwood Mac Rumours album has sold over ten million copies, so I think he is good for it.
Come! The best song title ever.
I saw the picture and had to watch it
i worked with his niece had him sign some stuff for my dad. he was happy ima good son.
If Tom Waits designed a backline...
Check the video for "Going Out West".
Crazy tunings, very interesting, I like to pick a guitar up a play, experimenting with crazy tunings is not my thing, that tech has alot of work to do.
The way he;s handling those guitars makes me nervous as hell.
where is lindsey buckingham? this is a rig rundown of lindsey buckingham right? i can't see him, just stanley lamendola
and don't forget to look at the audience and smile while you are working
I think it is time for a Joe Bonamassa RR, with his new pedalboard and all.
his first ever rig rundown was the best one, the update with his fuckboy roadie Mike isn't that good
i want Joe to return for a 2nd time in an update
I can't believe Lindsay uses a standard Boss digital delay.
Don't forget his new gears :
Some custom Amps that I don't know the brand.
Light Blue Telecaster with Bigsby Style whammy bar.
Fender Twin Reverb
And so on...
This dude's probably dying to know if Angus Young has received his resume.
Why, is Angus's much more simpler?
Well yeah, he probably only use an basic E tuning, duh. Never mind.
nice job jason
"Lube the nuts" Lolololol!!!!
Woooo iowa city represent woooo
The same type of guitar for different songs? Cool
Don't think we'll see Jack White give away the secrets to his tone, caught a glimpse of his on stage pedal board and they are all the same blunderbus theme coloured smompboxes
tries an edible for the first time
