    Can confirm. Nate made steak once when we were filming for a couple days. I have never had better steak ever. It was so incredibly good, that my eyes glaze over when I think about it.

    Like food? Nate will make you an outdoor grill. Teach you how to cook something. Find out if a cheaper version tastes the same. Make gigantic versions of sweet stuff (or dehydrate them) for desert. And don't forget, he made the knife you're using to cut through it all. Thanks Nate! Dave J

      Wagyu specially A4/A5 is a very forgiving meat. At mid-rare you have the meat juices. At well done the fat renders down. So great either way imo

    That prime steak got the most piddly amount of butter & basting I think I’ve ever seen from Nate. That said, he knows what he’s doing and I’m positive it was still a delicious steak! Still looks like he was basting primarily with hopes and dreams, though 😂

    That’s how I’ve always seen them cook Wyagu in Japan too. Had some on a cruise ship a few years ago and it was awesome.

    Easiest foolproof way to cook any meat is sous vide. It gives precise temperature control and if very forgiving inv terms of time. You can cook the steak for an additional hour after it's already done without ruining the steak. And there's no mess. Just put the steak in a bag, submerge in heated water and then serve. Cleanup is just throwing away the bag. And you don't have to defrost before cooking.

    IMO wagyu is the only thing that the high price tag is deserved. It is so different than ordinary meat and it has this special taste which I can't explain.

    Should also include places where you can buy an A5 Wagyu. Given the fame this type of steak has, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a ton of sites trying to scam people who don't know anything about it and just think "Oh, this steak is supposed to be famous and really good. Let's get it!" before going for any site that says they're selling it and don't do any research

    Wagyu just have few percent of meat and mostly fat, low flame grill is the best since you won't cook it over, I usually won't eat A5 and go for a lower grade, and it's price and quality really match.

    I find it kind of funny how Nate's new channel has less than 5% of the subscribers that TKoR has, yet he's getting more views than any of TKoR's latest videos. It's kind of sad though, I feel like Grant's legacy has been transferred to here.

    great video but uh.. I was honestly expecting a how to on how to cook the entire steak in one go to a specified doneness. Instead what we got was, "How not to destroy your wagyu? cut it into tiny pieces and let your friends cook it how they want.

    I'd try a bit of Wagyu uut to quote an advert from the USA - Where's the beef? It's just too fatty for my liking, of course too lean is a problem too but call me old fashioned but if I buy streak I want a high meat to fat ratio, not the other way round.
