Dear St Joseph please send me a good Catholic husband if it be God's will. If not, help me to know what state of life I am to live and help me to full-fill God's will for my life.
Saint Joseph is a great example and a powerful advocate for men who genuinely want to be better men as a whole. Saint Joseph Terror of demons, pray for us!
He inspires me as a lover of the Lord, provider for the family, and I really like his title, "chaste defender of the virgin." 🙏 As a husband, father, and Catholic speaker/author I appreciate St. Joseph immensely!
Thank you for the insight to St Joseph. As a father we should always remember that we are being watched by our children and should all pray to be as good of a role model to our children as he was to Jesus.
I asked St.Joseph's intercession to give me a man after his own heart. Truly, he gave me a selfless and loving man like him. Now, we are engaged and will be married this year! Will always be forever grateful to St. Joseph💚 "Ite ad Joseph"
At 9:01 “Where can I learn to get over myself.” BINGO. Thank you, Bobby and thank you, Saint Joseph for your intercession. Lord, help me decrease so that you may increase! Deo gratias🙏🏽
i love St Joseph so much ❤ You'd know he was so full of virtue if the Lord of the Universe trusted him to protect Our Lady and take the Child Jesus under his care and protection. That is certainly a great honor! 😍 And it is right that we have a year dedicated to him 🤗😍
Another interpretation of Joseph’s age is to believe that he indeed wasn’t old in comparison to the age girls were married at the time in that part of the world. If he was in his prime (mid 20s) he would indeed be considered old next to a 12 to 15 years old wife. If we operate within the less is more availability of information about him in the bible, all possible interpretations are valid. 🧸
Just a little message to those who think they can only pray to God directly and not in communion of the true Church He established: Sure you can and hopefully your prayers are heard; and so we also pray directly to God as well thru Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, and also with the help of the Saints we pray to them for their intercession to Jesus Christ, the only Mediator to God the Father, Saints who are holy members of the actual Church of God, who are now in true communion with God in heaven, in the Church; the Church in which we belong to as Catholic Christians on this pilgrimage on earth. We honor every member of the Church who has died in holiness, and we honor their holiness because we believe in the living God, in whom there is no death, in whom everything is sustained, in whom the Church is united. "For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." - Ephesians 3 : 14-19
We do know of one thing said in scripture that Saint Joseph would have said. It is not directly attributed to him but we know by Jewish cultural norms. Saint Joseph would have been the one to say at the temple “ His name shall be Jesus”. I think it’s amazing that that is all we know he directly said. It’s beautiful to me.
I’m not sure if you’ve done a video on this already or not, but... in trusting in God and trusting in HIS timing, in not looking for a future husband, but looking for God.... how do I know if I should approach a man or should I wait for a man to approach me? I’m worried I’ve already messed up my dating life by pursuing wrongful relationships, so I’m looking for guidance on how I should approach my next relationship correctly and I’m not sure if I should approach the man or they approach me
Hello! My question is not particularly related to the topic, although I love Saint Joseph! I truly enjoy the editing of your interviews. I would like to ask the editor a question. Would it be possible to please have an email where I could ask? Thank you! Blessings!
Wasn't St. Joseph thought to be an older man because "The Protoevangelium of James" said that he was an older widower? As while the book was not included in the Bible, it was popular and contained many of the traditions about the life of Mary that aren't in the Bible such as her parents names, her vow of virginity, etc. While modern people might think St. Joseph must be old because of the reasons you suggested, it is anachronistic to suggest he is always depicted as old throughout history because of current cultural ideas.-J
I wish that rather than portraying Joseph as holy for restraining his sexual urges that you had talked about him not acting without consent. Churches of all kinds need to talk up the importance of consent rather than continually telling people that men's urges are an almost-unstoppable force of nature; it lets too many men off the hook for bad behaviour.
Why couldn't Saint Joseph consummate his marriage to the Blessed Virgin? I can definitely relate to "Lord make me chaste- but not yet." It can be difficult to let go of pleasurable sins or sinful desires. There is a lot of truth in Augustine's words. It is important to be honest with yourself. It must have been humbling for Saint Joseph to be surrounded by perfect people like Our Lady and Christ the Redeemer.
I've heard its because he too had a desire for virginity & after being called to be the foster Father of Jesus...he most likely wanted to offer the greatest good he could as a gift after the absolute GIFT GOD gave him
When a calling to great purity is placed on a heart, only then can one fully understand. St. Joseph assuredly desires Purity so much not only for his own self but more so desiring and protecting the purity of Our Lady. It is not an attitude of “ I can’t do this one thing” but rather “ I desire a greater love.” (I’m not a scholar, may have spoke incorrectly)
according to the visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emerich and Venerable Mary of Agreda, St Joseph consecrated his virginity to Our Lord when his parents passed away 👍😇
@@juliennelomocso6294 Is that from The Mystical City of God? I have heard somewhere that Our Lady never aged past 33. It's interesting how Our Lady appears often as a beautiful young woman in her apparitions and assumes the ethnicity of the one who she is appearing to.
@@IONov990 the books are Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary by Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich and yes, the Mystical City of God by Venerable Mary of Agreda 😇👍 Uncanny, because these works were done in the 15th and 16th century, miles apart, but the visions agree with each other. 😊
@@zacwuzhere the Protoevangelium of James, which was written around A.D. 150. It speaks of Mary as a consecrated virgin since her youth, and of St. Joseph as an elderly widower with children who was chosen to be Mary’s spouse for the purposes of guarding and protecting her while respecting her vow of virginity. Though this document is not on the level of Sacred Scripture, it was written very early, and it may contain accurate historical traditions. www.catholic.com/magazine/online-edition/jesus-had-brothers It is a common explanation that saint Joseph was previously married, hence the reference to the brothers and sisters of Jesus in the gospel.
In the bible do you have Joseph and other men praying to the lost dead rabbi? They pray to God for divine intervention, love and wisdom not fallen Nobel men. Records of Jesus Raising the dead yes but not praying to. Follow Jesus and only what he did, and follow only the will of the father not the diseased. Do not invent new ways of doing things the only way is Jesus to the father.
Shall I crucify myself also? For Christ did that. Christ does not need intercession. It is as simple as that. Guess who does? Every single person does. St. Paul wrote, "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people." He was writing this to whom? Living Christians so that they may pray for others. To address your praying to the saints is praying to the dead. This is in itself a contradiction. A Saint is someone in heaven. Our God is a God of living not of the dead. To say that you are praying to the dead is contradictory of what a Saint is. We are asking the Saints to pray for us. For in the New Covenant it is possible for this happen: "But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant." When we approach the New Covenant who do we approach? God, Jesus, the Angels and the righteous made perfect whom are the Saints. The Saints are alive and they are in the cloud of witnesses. God bless.
@LC33 AMDG my apologetics are horrible? And yet all you did to prove my argument was wrong was to say it was with no underlying evidence. Whose apologetics are bad again? God bless.
It’s there job title To do this, the great commandment to love others, pray for us after death as we do here is act of that commandment, but I don’t see in scripture any man on earth in prayer and telepathically to unknown other men alive intermediate with them, their prayers talk to one another receive any info from another human, and that all the dead in Christ (saved) followers ever, ever talk to us, that space, that middle chasm my friend is where the heavenly places where angles can give you messages and the devil / fallen angles can try to disrupt your life as that’s is there way of doing things and so the church of Satan. But yes the living and passed on followers of Christ, not man will love and pray for others as it’s there job but not with powers of God to interact with you, Christ and The Holy Spirt is who you need. The Lord’s Prayer is the example for your current position as a living and I hope follower of the truth is the word and not man made religion, look at what Paul for inspiration. Bless you, don’t pray to idols with I imagine good intent but give no Holy results. Just Do as the Lord tells thee and the bible tells you to and actually read what the word says, not the pope or catholic teachings as it is corrupted.
I've always felt that Saint Joseph was a young man, and that God gave him abundant grace to be chaste and holy. 😊

But St. Faustina refers to him as the "Holy old man" in an apparition...
