Pick of the Week: What is the danger of teaching about dangers?

Today's clip is a short sequence from a public information film about tuberculosis. This film would have been shown as a part of an evening programme in cinemas before a feature film, in order to educate public on how to protect themselves from a disease.
As with many public information films, it is portraying an ideal family in an ideal family setting of its time. However, with a bit of hindsight, there's a twist. Whilst teaching his children about the dangers of tuberculosis, the father is blowing clouds of smoke from his pipe straight into his kids' faces.
Idyllic but also sinister from today's perspective!
