Honestly, that’s how I feel. It’s really nice to find other people playing the same games I did years back. Now we’re all here to take a trip down memory lane together.
I mean thats actually how war was in the past when you think about it, everyone fought in formation and you had to wait for the guy standing in front of you to die to be able to push forward
@@maikatideibaskapanaumrqlatupa It actually isnt all that much nonsense. Such a simple flash game had no reason to have such a goddamn amazing OST (even if it was basically one track). No joke, it's probably the only reason I remembered the game for years. It's impressive how much one song can carry this admittedly simple (but fun) game
Okay but legit though, why did these two colonies start fighting ever since the stone age? I bet one caveman touched another cavemans rocks. And it led to cyber mechs with laser cannons in an all out war.
Since a lot of people are watching videos like this one in memoriam I thought I’d just pop in and let you know in case you didn’t that there are still a few different ways to play Flash games post-2020, albeit not in the original way we used to: these are mainly through Bluemaxima’s Flashpoint, Ruffle, various collections and compilations from the developers themselves and a few other ways too. Essentially if you’re sad about Flash’s death and worry you’ll never be able to play those games and revisit those memories ever again, do not fear because you still can quite easily!
I thought about this game recently because the music popped into my head, and that is how I discovered and downloaded Flashpoint. It’s so great that people are able to preserve such a specific part of our internet culture.
Wow, in this game, the AI actually waited longer than the player to evolve for two ages. Usually, in the first game, I'm still on Clubmen until the Modern Era so I can build my tower of turrets. It kind of bothers me after seeing the Impossible Difficulty of 1 that they still don't even bother with the Super Soldier unit, even on that difficulty.
I finally beat this game on insane level. I took the safe tactic and build my defence before started attacking. I though that spamming support and anti-armor may be the best option, but I wanted to check other tactics only after playing with my own tactic. I beat the game, but it took longer. It is pretty hard to beat the futuristic age's defence without god's wrath and that makes it slow. Spamming support seems to work pretty well, if you are using some XP to kill those dinosaurs on stone age and evolve little slower.
I tend to like staying at my base with a turret dishing out large amounts of damage, whilst reinforcing mostly with tanky melee units so I can trade efficiently that way, and investing into those types of attack waves once I get to future, because I have a much much better income by then, but this works to.
The first age of war will always be the better game but making a sequel to a masterpiece is always difficult given that I’d pay just to play these games again I’m not sure why your video came up in my recommendation but it brought back memories
Ahh... back in the old days, I couldn't beat these games. Now, going back to old games, I noticed that most games on insane difficulty can only be beaten by exploiting glitch/loophole/unintended use of feature/stupid AI.
There was this game called miragine war where instead of impossible mode it was called "abyss". Dang, that was a serious one. Enemy starts with almost 50% more income and you must abuse the enemy's AI to win, and even then it's not easy to do.
For me, I tanked with the turret and cheap melee units until I got enough money to upgrade the "support" range as well as damage and income as well. Then, I just spammed them non-stop and upgraded my castle whenever I could.

I've always wondered why did you end the game so early and didn't drag it out until the futuristic age, so I deliberately tried a full run and quite honestly I can understand why would you want to end this early - the spawn rate and HP bonus of all enemies makes them nearly impossible to conquer, at first I sent 5 god's wraths at once, they all died without even touching the enemy's base. Then I sent 2 god's wraths and a lot of mad scientists as a backup - god's wraths all died and mad scientists got probably a few hits on the enemy base. After that, I did 3 god's wraths and mad scientist support = took away about 4 000 HP before all of my units got annihilated. It took me about hour and half to finally conquer the enemy in the futuristic age. Holy shit is this game unbalanced, and I thought the impossible mode in Age of War was bad...
