- An accident involving six vehicles took place around 7am on April 22. The incident happened at the junction of Tampines Ave 1 and Ave 4 and resulted in eight people being taken to the hospital.
My deepest condolencesvto the two families of the two ladies... the driver should go to 30 yrs jail .. so sad fir the young girl

Singapore is a relatively small place. Yet people drive fast to get from A to B because they start out late and give themselves little time. It's criminal.
The reckless driver is racing not rushing for work. Those 2 victims and the rest didn't rush for school or work.
Sad for the victims....law imposes jail term is too light for such driver.

This person said he sped up to make the Saab (Black Car) slow down. He lied. He sped up to trap him behind another motorist. He simply cannot tolerate anyone speeding pass him and owning a AmG 43, he wanted to unleash the horsepower and fxxxk the black car over. The Saab avoided the front motorist and sideswiped the Merc. This person is also another to be prosecuted severely; not withstanding the fact, that when the Saab hit him, the driver looked at the rear view mirror and wondered what did he hit. By the time he looked straight again, it was too late. This Merc is guilty. If you looked at the video carefully, when the merc power up to force the Saab (black car) , this Saab driver noticed a motorist in front and he did swerved to avoid hitting this front motorist; despite driving at fast speed. The actual cause of the people’s death is this merc driver. It is common sense, to look in the mirror what did you hit. It is this distraction that took the Saab’s driver eyes off the road. Thus, this Merc driver attributed to this terrible accident. He deregistered his vehicle immediately the following day and other netizens have surfaced his other intimidating and arrogant road behaviors. If he had allowed the black Saab to overtake, he may have kept his eyes on the road and thus, this disaster may not incur the loss of lives. He lied without conscience and does not repent. Yet, he is trying to lie his way out when other moans for their family member’s death. Netizens should disclose who he is. Everything is under wrapped for the moment from the authorities pending investigation. I feel very sorry for the lost ones and their family and yet I am angry to see this Merc driver trying to get away and not be implicated for his vicious action. People died. How are their families going to live through this sudden loss. Yet, we have a liar who doesn’t own up for his actions and defending his innocent stance.

Yes I agree he should be accountable to as a catalyst to this whole tragedy. Both reckless drivers but we focused on the main perpetrator. Bring the Merc driver to court.too. Traffic police please investigate this driver. He cannot get away scot free. Has the cheek to say he tried to slow down the Saab guy.

A new footage from that Mercedes is posted in Mothership from facebook from a guy called Anthony Soon Han Tiong, which is likely to be the driver. The video clearly shows the Mercedes full throttle speed up trying to block the Saab. He just self pawned himself.
The driver of the white Mercedes SUV should be charged as well.

Black car tried to overtake this one white car dangerously, but realised there's a motorcycle in front and sideswiped the white car. After that this black car was speeding recklessly probably trying to escape after hitting the white car. Possibly hit and run case since the driver was seen able to control the car
@Broskisnowski after he scraped the white car couldnt he just slow down and at least stop for the red light? what was the saab doing? drunk? lost control? dont talk nonsense cause he couldve avoided it. all the death n injuries were caused by the saab, not the white car.

Yes. Didn't u seet the 57 year old victim was wearing seat belt in the picture? I am sure all victims wore seat belt but the impact was so forceful that even the girl's father car turned turtle.

Wow, look like a scene from Fast n Furious. If the car was a Bentley or RR, I guess the impact might be lesser. Still it is very inconsiderate, selfish, reckless, irresponsible to drive like no other people business and speed like if you are owning the road. I guess the culprit most likely will be given a driving ban and some time in jail. Once a while, you will see such scene coming out. Sadly but true.

At our Condominium Basement Car Park, Speed Limit is 15kmh. l follow that Guideline Yet will be blasted by the Sound of Horn or will be followed Impatiently by Resident(s) Close to my Rear Bumper. What is Disdainful and Scary is when the Driver Overtakes suddenly at the most Critcally Dangerous Zone where there is Pillar for Outgoing Vehicles keeping to the Left and Incoming Vehicles coming from the Right. The Vehicle(s) Overtaking will Cross Over to the Path meant for Vehicle Traffic coming in from the Right, a Traumatic Head On Collision could occur with Serious Injuries even Death. Educated as Singaporeans are, they do not pay heed to Safety First and Safe Driving Guidelines........
