These guys, that gong, those traditional costumes, those awesome band members. The Japanese aesthetic! They ‘have’ been around a long time but golly how they kick butt!! Fantastic, thank you🙏🏻🇦🇺

Great choice of Ningen Isu song to get Randy started. Great reaction from Randy. The subtitles are in English. Though they probably don't matter on first listen. I like Ningen Isu for the changes. I like the long intro as is.
    Best Wishes. ☮

No, no, they shouldn’t cut the intro, playing the way they do (along with other Japanese bands) makes their music so interesting-fulfilling to listen to. The old tired 3 minute song is so restricted, so overrated,
Japan has saved Rock and Roll (and metal)

Although Ningen-Isu may appear to be a small band in terms of their RUclips subscribers and commercial success in recent years, they have been active since 1987 and have had a significant impact in various areas. They also have the experience of performing at Ozzfest in 2013.
In general, Japan has a strong bias against metal, often making it very difficult for bands to achieve success. The recent attention to Japanese metal from overseas is largely due to an overseas nostalgia boom and the influence of RUclips. However, that perspective is from an international standpoint. In Japan, they are one of the few famous bands that have achieved remarkable success despite the challenging environment, and they have been highly regarded by various artists as well.

From what i can understand, they are also highly academic and into old horror literature, which makes me want to understand their lyrics - maybe next life. The whole Edogawa Ranpo thing is really an image that noone thought of - yes, in movies, but not in music. Love them.

Ningen Isu is a "made by RUclips because of Babymetal" band. They had been around for 20+ years when a RUclips reactor started looking into Japanese bands because of Babymetal, discovered these guys, and did a reaction. It spread. Before you know it, this band who should have been in the twilight of their careers finds new life, higher levels of popularity, and an international audience, as if they were starting anew. The best part about it is that they started releasing some of the best music of their career.

BabyMetal has had quite an impact as a gatekeeper to the Japanese rock/metal scene.
Though i never became any big fan of the girls, it lead me to Band-Maid, Lovebites, Gacharic Spin and Nemophila. As a fan of Nightwish, I was one of the first to recommend it to Mr.RnR.

There is absolutely a debt of honour owed to Babymetal by so many of the Japanese bands starting to gain traction outside of their home country. I believe the reactor you are speaking of is Hedgey from Pictures Noise and Words. I found Ningen Isu through him (and it was me who introduced him to Lovebites). The best part is that there are so many great Japanese bands who absolutely merit the chance they have been gifted that everybody wins!
