Before the sigma gsr, came the mitsubishi starion turbo. Before the mitsubishi starion, came the sigma turbo. And before that came the lancer ex1800 and 2000 turbo. All RWD 4g62s, 4g63s and 4g54s.

All models of these OG Sigmaz were popular in Nz( even the fwd models lol ). In the mid to late 90s, ppl started tinkering around with the Astron engines and ford v8's b4 the 4g63T was seen as the engine of choice.. and 17-18" rims lol
Luv that ppl still tinker with these OG Cars and these OG engines bringing them up to spec with modern Tech 🫡🫡🫡💯

I have a factory Aussie made "VAN" Mitsubishi 2.4L 4G64 2.4L, That is a "Sirius" block 1999 l400 RWD 5speed. I spent $10,000 on a Aeroflo turbo, injectors fuel pump, wide band, With a Haltech 750 Elite, and a 50 shot

Those 2.6 sohcs were always old rattlers. The oil pumps die pretty fast and they turn into bricks pretty quickly no matter what you do to them
