Any comments over use of Kapton tape or Silicone PTFE Tape which adheres readily to heated surfaces; repositionable without residue; able to tolerate constant ambient temperatures from -100° to 500°F (-73° to 260°C)
You shouldn't have done that to that specific pipe. The properties it actually comes with work better to dissipate and block IR radiated heat more than the tape. By quite a bit actually. Didnt hurt it but essentially its not doing anything. I found this out the same way. After i did the same but after some real research..check it out..looks nice tho👍
Nice to see someone take the time to wrap something properly.
I know right lol
awesome just did this for my crown vic afe power cold air intake it sounds so good and wont get as hot from that huge 4.6 motor
Yeah man it works!! And colder air means more power 👍
Doing this today , on my Injen
Nice
2 years old and still the best video #quality
Thank you!
Nice Job !! ☺☺
I like your technique... 👍👍
😎
good job. i will do this next season with my Injen
Bro do you Know how much mm of thermal wrap do I need for Stillen gen 3 Intakes ?
One roll should be enough. Every time we do this we have a bunch left over.
I just wouldn’t wrap them ends because the connections sometimes come May become loose
We ran it that way on multiple cars for years and didn’t have an issue. Just make sure you use quality clamps and couplers.

Those could possibly be great options as well as long as their reflective properties are the same
Pardon me, but those hands are lovely.
Do you know if that wrap comes in black? I can't seem to find black thermal wrap anywhere.
Blacktop_Shady I don’t think so. The gold in the wrap reflects heat away from the intake tube, so the air inside stays cool.
the silver type too?
It can but it's not as effective as the gold type. Gold had excellent heat-reflective properties.

Hmmmm interesting 🤔 we'd love to know where you got that info from!
Did you use the eBay brand
D.E.I.
Where do I buy this wrap?
We got ours from Amazon, made by D.E.I.
who made the music?
It's just an instrumental called "To the Top" not sure who made it.
