My favorite moves for Rinoa are as follows, Angelo Cannon and Wishing Star. I do not really like Angel Wing, but I like its effect.
Anyway, here is a video, • FF8: Manipulating Rino... , that explains in detail how we can actually manipulate Angel Wing without having to strip Rinoa of every single magic except for one. Though many of you would have known this, but please do watch this video, it will be an eye-opener to the workings of Angel Wing which I've managed to break down a bit.

It wasn't an attack actually. It's an identifier ability. It would have said "Mister" if the T. Rex used the ability on Squall.

I both love and hate the ludicrous concept having an ability that allows you to load your dog onto your crossbow and launch it at the enemy, instantly killing everything.
You have to wonder what the guy who wrote those dog books was smoking when he came up with Angelo Cannon and Angelo Strike...

Angel Wing is such a troll. Gives you wings. Makes you float. And after 3 seconds, puts you down.
And causes you to go berserk afterwards
I never really use Angel Wings because it makes Rinoa go berserk. Considering the fact that Angel Wings came from her own sorceress powers, they should have given her much more unique spells/skills.
With the right set up (ie. max Mag/Spd + Meteor), she becomes a _killing machine_ in that status.
But fair enough.
Angelo the combat machine
A world where the moon crys monters all over earth, inter-dimensional sorceresses reach backwards in time, gods join you in battle and sophisticated machines and armies try to crush you.....and you...with a fairly trained dog by your side...can solo all of them in one sitting....

The Angel Wing limit break doesn't use your magic stock to cast spells. It's basically free magic with times 5 power :)

People just didn't understand the game mechanics so they assumed it was broken. Like for example people didn't understand that Ultimecia was referenced throughout the whole game so they assumed she popped out of nowhere then jumping to the assumption that the game developers failed.

I always thought it was hilarious how Angelo sat on Rinoa's puny little arms! Video game logic. :) Nice video. Rinoa has the most unique set of limits for sure.

Invincible Moon was such a powerful defensive limit break, even Omega Weapon became easy to beat. Wishing Star was one of the most visually beautiful move, and it hits multiple targets!
And we all know falling meteors > dinosaurs.

Angel wing where the meteor is the only magic Rinoa has that she can cast in that mode is super effective.
@tubebandito If that's your impression, then something really interesting took place as I was testing out Angel Wing, Rinoa used two different magic on the two monsters in the same battle...which I also thought is weird...will test further once I am more free to do so..

For me it's always Squall, Rinoa, and then either Quistis or Irvine depending what I need my third member to do.

I barely noticed that in wishing star Angelo instantly grows bigger. I think that's probably due to Rinoa's sorceress skills

@Terra1311 It is Rinoa's Limit Break, utilizing something else to fight for you doesn't shift ownership. A Necromancer that raise some dead to fight for him, whose spell was it, the Necromancer's or the undead's?

@RonPaulIsiah Limit Breaks occur when a character is at critical health, or yellow health or under the effects of Aura.

I know this comment is 7months old , but , Angelo actually didnt transformed into a meteor , Rinoa's Angel Wings is the only limit break that doesnt involve her dog. With this selected as a Limit break , Rinoa will choose random spell/magic that you drew from the enemy , As simple as it is , its just like casting Magic that you gather , but its not , with Angel wings ON , the effect of the magic is doubled.

@kelvinng90 Random spells is correct, take a look at my video response, or click on the link in the description to see how to manipulate Angel Wing such that the randomness is cut to the minimum.
@tubebandito Hey I need some help here. Suppose there are two enemies in a battle. Will Angel Wing use the same magic against the two enemies, or will the two magic be different? Assuming we are talking about single-hitting magic here.

@SonicFan091 Lol, certain turnbased games cut off animations before they start defying the laws of physics and miss, but you've got a good point. I laughed.

There are no buttons to press with Rinoa's limit breaks, they are all automatic
no, cos on ps1, when their HP is low, you could press one of the control buttons (can't remember which) continuously and the right arrow comes up.
Oh that, you just press the right arrow when the limit break option comes up.

The PSX version never had Rinoa using magic not in her inventory. I believe you remembered wrongly. I only played the PSX version too, but I believe the developers wouldn't do that for other platforms...
