I love the trips to the all the nearby local places! The time spent in your garden is always a joy. I love your "humanity"....the way you admit when you forget something ...it's great!
Hello Kevin. You are a happy person - your mother is alive and she has such a wonderful son. thank you for making interesting videos. With you I rest my soul. Have a good day
A few comments: it's always a pleasure to see a new video from you. The countryside in your area is just gorgeous. I've read that placing shallow dishes of beer in the garden will deter slugs. Yes, that's a fox glove. They famously wander into gardens. Last year, a whole patch of them bloomed in a semi-shaded, empty bed in a corner of our backyard. This year, only one has bloomed near that area. Last year's were a solid hot pink and this year's is a mottled pink like yours. And I adore éclairs. These look marvelous. Your self-deprecating humor is so refreshing. Although coffee seems a strange drink choice on a hot day, it's the perfect accompaniment to pastries like these éclairs. Thank you so much for your calming, lovely videos. I enjoy them so much!
Columbia County, where Kevin lives,is a gift from the last ice age. As the glaciers shaped the terrain, they created rolling hills from the Berkshire mountains to the Hudson River. In fact, the Hudson is a fjord and is tidal from New York harbor for half it's length. It is beautiful in all seasons.
What a beautiful lifestyle you create for yourself! Where do you get the energy?!
Kevin, I just made a sour cream coffee cake to take to my niece’s house for Fathers Day. It was so easy and requires no skill. Then I sat down to watch your video. WOW! Did you go to pastry school? I am so impressed with your skills.
Have a lovely Fathers Day with your fur family.
Japanese Eggplant is really good, less bitter, longer & thinner than regular eggplant. You should check it out. Still the same beautiful flower & color.❤
Dear Kevin! My mom and I wait for your uploads religiously and we even bought some petunias for our garden because we saw how gorgeous yours are. Watching your videos truly feels like a breath of fresh air amidst busy and tiring days. We are sending love from Transylvania, Romania 🥰
Transylvania? Amazing!😊
@@Daphne-tm5lg Yes!
Hello Transylvania from a huge fan of Kevin's.
I'm in Canada.
Nice to see such a lovely message from you to Kevin.
Isn't he a wonderful person in so many ways?
It's plain to see that Kevin is loved all over the world. And rightfully so.
Good wishes to you from Canada!
Hello to you and your mom! My 92 yrs old mom and I send greetings from Los Angeles. We watch Kevin, and 🤩share in your watching together!
(btw, I'm a big fan of Alex Nechita) 🥰
@@judybutler5129 He really is ☺️
I think we'd all love a garden tour!
Beautiful home and gardens plus eclairs. Do you live in heaven?
I think he created heaven with his charming smile
That was lovely as usual. Your Mother sure did raise a proper gentleman. Please have her for tea sometime soon so we can meet her. Thank you for the ride in your vehicle to town, always my favorite.
Avery and the cats have an awesome dad. Happy Father's Day
Some people go to therapy. I sit and lose myself in your wonderful videos Kevin 😊. Thank you so much for being my therapy xx
Your mother, birthed a lovely, talented and kind soul❤ happy Father’s Day for the fur babies.
Your mother is blessed having such a beautiful son 🙏❤️
Yes indeed!
To avoid the tails on the eclairs, you can wet yourfinger with some water and tap gently the end .
I AGREE❤😊🎉
Two videos in two days - you’re spoiling us! Have a wonderful weekend ❤
Oh my gosh! I could smush the whole tray of eclairs into my mouth! So yum! Re the foxglove “volunteer” be sure to let it go to seed &when seed is dry broadcast them & you’ll have more next year. If it’s a biennial you may have to wait another year for flowers but it’s well worth the wait. Thanks for another wonderful show. You always increase my enjoyment of the day ❤Judie
Your opening music immediately makes me calm and ready to enjoy what I know will be a fantastic video. I look forward to each and every one!! ❤
Yes, on the garden tour..
Back in the 1950’s in Montreal, our mom served buckwheat pancakes with corn syrup. And when there was no desert available for dinner, we got sugar bread (buttered white bread with sugar shaken on it). And now I get to make and eat our talented Kevin’s fabulous culinary delights! Thanks so much!
My little mixer is from 1969 and it works great 😂
Omg those Éclairs look spectacular. Cream puffs were one of the first things I ever made as a teen, I felt so fancy. lol I haven't heard Woolworths in yrs, what memories . When my Mother would take me shopping with her, we always went to WWs and had lunch at their lunch counter always club sandwiches I felt so grown up thank you for the memory of yrs gone by
There's nothing like eclairs with hot coffee, especially homemade eclairs. I LOVE your dishes.
Thank you, as always, for your delightful videos.
Happy Father's Day to a Dad of fur babies! Would love a garden tour! 😊❤
@seeagypsy Deteriorating like in that older movie, "Idiocracy." The similarities of today's world and that silly movie are eerily frightening.
@@Rollwithit699You poor soul. 😢
Kevin.
The plant is called foxglove and was once used to make a medicine for people with heart disease (digitalis). They come in many colors, even in my garden.
You made an elegant pastry look so easy to make! You are so fortunate to still have your mother in your life! She must be so proud !
Yeah, it's Sunday and a new upload from Kevin! We are so happy to see you! Thanks for the joy you bring to our lives.
Gosh Kevin, 5 stars for all the work in making the scrumptious eclairs. Please do more garden videos. I love Foxgloves, they come back every year and the bees love them. Perhaps Mr Fox had a hand (or glove) in planting the pink one. x
Would love to see your mom on one of your videos! You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you!
Your beautiful plant is a foxglove. Beer in a shallow pan is supposed to take care of slugs. Truly enjoy your videos.
We still have Woolworth in Germany 😊
Kevin, you had me hooked on this video when I read the title.😊
I must say, I enjoy your personality so very much. I always enjoy your comments. Sorry about your losing some of your veggies in the garden. Have a delicious day. The eclairs look absolutely delicious.
Duckslove slugs we had them on our farm ,
A treat to start my Sunday with a relaxing and peaceful video from Kevin. Chocolate eclairs were my favorite growing up as a child in France. I remember my grandma’s it was a real treat. I will definitely try your recipe Kevin. I hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day with your furbabies🙏💙🙏
I’m sure you and your Mom have cooked many great meals together!
Would love to see a video where you bake with your mom someday or have a chat/tea with her.
The eclairs are very professional looking. My second fave sweet right behind cheesecake. Yes to all your offers in this video. ❤
I have never had a homemade Eclair. Kevin you always do something special. I love your channel and your little family. I hope you and Mr Fox had the very best Fathers Day. ❤❤❤❤❤
This is my favorite sweet on the planet.
It is foxglove and it is gorgeous! Nature is so wonderful. The eclairs look perfect and I’m sure they are delicious. Love your videos…as usual. Have a great day!
You have just reminded me that my soul needs eclairs
What a wonderful video ❤ bless your mother. Yes that pink flower looks like Foxglove. It’s always a treat to see Avery. Thank you for this video. ❤
My son became a homeowner today and I am catching up on my favourite show. It is just you and me now Kevin, so much to do in my house as my boy moves out but I am so excited for the next phase of my life. Your uploads keep me going, give me new ideas and inspiration its like having a best friend and mentor in one. Thank you Kevin.
Once again you made me laugh out loud...when the pastry cream got stuck in your whisk I almost spit my coffee out ...lol wonderful video ❤
I love pate choux. It is easy to make. I add Gruyère cheese and make puffs sprinkle a touch of fresh thyme and fleur de sel and bake. They make a lovely appetizer for guests while waiting for dinner to be ready to be served
These look absolutely delicious! You’ve brought great memories of my Mother making Cream Puff’s, when we were children, back to me 💕🙏🙏
What a lovely garden. The éclairs look delicious!
Yes, those old handheld mixers are amazing, I think I paid $10 for mine 40+ years ago, I think it would mix cement up! The new ones are so cheaply made they won't mix whipping creme to the right consistency. 💜💜
Yes please, I would love a tour of your beautiful garden! The petunias are looking absolutely gorgeous and the pink flower is definitely a foxglove. The chocolate éclairs look very yummy! ❤
Another inspiring video! I accidentally planted a Jalapeño plant last year. Someone put it with the bell pepper plants and I didn't check the label, they look just alike. When the Jalapeños began to come in, I decided to try making "poppers". They are so easy and delicious, I made an entire meal out of them several times and intentionally planted three Jalapeño plants this year! Simply cut them down the middle & remove all seeds with a spoon. The seeds are what makes the pepper hot, once removed they are very mild. Stuff them with cream cheese - you can mix grated cheddar in it if you like. Spoon fine breadcrumbs on top. Bake at 425 until the cheese is melted and the breadcrumbs are toasted - about 5 to 10 minutes. I spoon Ranch dressing on top and ENJOY. Just an idea of something to do with Jalapeño Peppers. Love your show!!
Eclairs are sooo delicious and not so difficult to make! Yummy. Thanks Kevin
My mother used the dark Karo, delicious!
I still use my GE hand held mixer I got as a wedding gift in 1969.
Those perogie yesterday were incredible. Now the dessert! Kevin have you ever considered adding a segment on wine like “the sommelier suggests” and discuss wines?
You are fortunate to have your mother.
Blessings to you both.
You are amazing Kevin. You are good at everything you do. It’s your magic touch and kindness. We love you.❤
One thing we can all learn from Kevin is pride. He takes pride in everything he does. It's the root of many good qualities.
So true !
Hi Kevin, so happy to hear your mom is doing well and still baking! Would love to see the two of you baking together in a future video!
Yes I think we do live in heaven when we watch your videos because you make heaven seem like it's right here

Yes❣️ to all garden tours.
My siblings and I used to go to Woolworth's lunch counter for oce cream sundae's on special occasions.....thanks for reminding me...
I just discovered you and subbed. You had me at eclair. You're like a male Martha Stewart. I love your house, decor, recipes, garden and demeanor. I love Victorian, big houses, antiques, flowers, and food, pets and you have them all. Lovely channel.
Your poor garden!!!! I love you to bits, Kevin. You're a bright light. Your intro music, alone, encourages me and gives me the energy to be the homemaker I am. Did you watch the Trooping of the Colour, this weekend? It's on RUclips. Love from Tennessee ❤
You had me at Eclair! They are my favorite dessert but hard to find made with custard in Maryland, usually they're just filled with whipped cream. Thank you for teaching me how to make them. You make it look very easy!
Also, I received my first order from Tierra Farms with free shipping, thanks to you. I bought teas and chocolate almond bark.
Kevin, those eclairs look divine, I’ve always been a little nervous about trying the choux pastry, but you make it look fairly easy. Definitely going to give it a try. Another delightful video! Thank you! Have a great day
Hello from Queensland Australia Kevin - what a joy it is to see you & your beautiful smile!! - all the chores you do - from polishing the Grand Piano to planting your seedlings in the garden & of course the trips to your local markets - I love all of it!! - you lift my soul because you ooze pure love for humanity - your garden is beautiful & the pink Foxglove you pointed out - funny how those things grow where they want to when they want to haha!! - you are moving into Summer now - so everything looks exquisite in your garden - here in Queensland we are in the middle of winter & cold - nineteen degrees centigrade today - thank you for your very interesting uploads - till next time - much love.
I want to see a full tour of your garden.
Absolutely, we'd love a full garden tour, from glimsesy I've seen, I would gladly pay an entrance fee, to stroll around your beautiful garden, and have afternoon tea tea outdoors ❤
omg, I remember Woolworth..do you recall Benjamin Franklin or aka the 5& dime store😂😅❤ the good ole days
Those look delicious! And yes I always had corn syrup with my pancakes and French toast.
Hi Kevin
In the way way back I used to work at Woolworths.
I must have been about 16 and at the job interview I had to take a math test because the cash registers did not tell you how much change to give the customers . I guess they wanted to make sure they hired people who knew their math. 😆
Congratulations for the choux pastry and the éclairs. I am French and don’t always make them as well as you do.
Bellflowers! Wow, they are beautiful! At least I think that’s what they are!
My mother made my baby formula from evaporated milk, water, and CORN SYRUP 😮 seems so crazy now! Love all your videos, Kevin 💕
Beautiful China. The eclairs look delicious. Perfect with coffee or a cold glass of milk.
Woolworth! Boy, that is ancient history! What a shame these old stores have gone away. And how fortunate you are to still have your mother. It is rough when the people we look to to tell us who we are depart. I miss my parents and family who have died every day. And who so often we take for granted. Also, put small containers of beer out among the cabbages. The snails will feed and drown.
I feel this...just a few years ago my dad was his last living family member. Since I have no kids, I feel this happening to me as well. I miss my dad so much and wish I could tell him I am so sorry...
Kevin, you really do motivate me. I am a senior but your videos are fabulous and encouraging for my husband and me. We both look forward to them . Thank you also for the glimpse of you kitties also. You are a peaceful gift to us. ❤
Set out beer in shallow containers for slugs and snails. It also works for roly poly bugs.
Beautiful day for you Kevin 🐕🐈⬛Avery
Joined you for coffee and éclairs virtually today and loved every minute of it. ❤
Hi Kevin. The eclairs look amazing! I watch all of your videos! Re: slugs… saw on another channel that had raised beds like you…..she purchased a copper tape that she placed on the outside of the raised bed walls at the top, on their sides. She said slugs do not like copper tape. She has an organic garden as well. Hope this helps!
Those Eclairs look amazing - and you make the recipe so doable! Totally trying this! Thank you for making the world a better - and tastier - place!
Happy Father's Day to you and Mr. fox. Can't wait to make eclairs again. It has been awhile.
Yes growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, we ate pancakes with white corn syrup or a pat of butter with a sprinkle of sugar. At our state fair in august, cream puffs are the specialty. 😊. Thanks always a treat visiting with you. Yes that’s a foxglove. They can self sew.
Thank you for another wonderful video Kevin. Those eclairs look exquisite. You make it look easy. Will I be brave enough to make them? I always enjoy a cameo of a sweet kitty. That was very appreciated. Your garden looks beautiful and I would love to see a full tour of it. I also really like the pattern of the dishes you chose for the table. I am sure your friends are going to love the eclairs. I remember hearing an old wives tale years ago about putting pennies in the garden to get rid of the slug problem, orange peels as well. I look forward to your next video.
Probably because copper gives snails an electric shock! They sell copper ribbon to repel snails, but it might be cheaper to surround the veggie with copper pennies! Of course you would have to polish them once in awhile to keep the Verdigris off!
Pastries look divine and yes, garden tour please! The pink flower is so pretty. Cracked eggshells round the base of your cabbage plant is supposed to help with slugs.
b
Kevin put a bowl of old beer they ll love it and drop and it is organic
Eclairs have been my mother's favorite dessert for most of her 90 years. These look so beautiful and delicious!
Please stay cool during the coming heat doom. As far as our gardens go,all we can do is keep our gardens watered. Speaking of sumac, it is so invasive. I would love to be in on your garden tour.
Great job on the Choux. Most people are terrified of making Choux.
I don't make eclairs as I don't care for chocolate (I know, positively unAmeritican) I do make cream puffs and love them. You certainly give very precise and thorough instructions. Wish you had been there to help me the first time I tried to make these.
I also love how you say both measurements
I put beer in small bowls to get rid of slugs.
I love your genuine joy in finding a "volunteer flower." To fight snails, my mother used to bury half empty beer cans around the plants. The snails were attracted to the beer, and then couldn't get out of the can. Not a very nice ending for the snail, although I know a few people who would consider drowning in beer to be a decent death! 😊I have no idea how well this worked, but at least it's organic!
😂
Thank you, Kevin. You make making eclairs from scratch look doable. Gives the rest of us courage. We so enjoy your videos.
Can we visit the grow room soon? See how the winter seedlings are doing. And yes yes yes yes a full garden tour, please
Yep ...it's a Foxglove ❤
Definitely beautiful Foxglove from which the famous heart medication…Digitalis…comes from.
