I keep thinking about when TFL got that early production (blue berry) and then Roman blew out the front differential. That crack was heard around the world. It was the catalyst of more issues to come. Now we got Yota issuing TSB's for the transmission. They won't say why but only if you throw those codes it requires a complete transmission swap. IMO, if Toyota thought they could get 10K more for some trims over the competition then they really needed to nail it on this new gen. In that, I feel they failed miserably as they are already resorting to discounting. Unfortunately for Toyota the mid size segment has never been this competitive. There are better products for less money. Buyers are not fools. The Yota tax is dead.
At my dealership they can't keep the 2021 in stock "lease returns" But the 2024 are being used as flower beds!!!LOL No there just sitting like your area.
$6k off discount and over price $15k. Dealers still make money, You should asking more discount up to $15k or more. I'm still stay out even $15k till they fix the problems, Trans and engine.
dealership trying to use your wife to trade your 3rd gen taco to get an 4th gen taco. taco needs to be build again in texas or back in japan like 4-runner does.
I'm starting to think it might be wise to shut down one of the plants in Mexico. That would probably make more economic sense then trying to scale back production from the two plants. Just run one plant at full capacity. The way things are rolling for Toyota that might be enough to fill demand.
@@HiPlains1 I don't think a shutdown is necessary, at most a slow down on production to get rid of the 2024 model year before production on the 2025. Tacoma sales are down 30% this year and partially it was due to delay/unavailability earlier in the year. If you're not in the market right now, there will always be other opportunities to get a even better deal than what they have now.
@@Dliu1116 Toyota goals was to build up to 300K units/year from the two plants. The TNGA assembly is more efficient. So if one plant can build 150K tacos that might satisfy demand. In that case it would be cheaper to run one plant full out then trying to maintain two plants and all the costs associated with that. Because IMO, many fans have moved away from the brand. There is no way they can sell 200-300K units a year. Not at these price points. Although it shows how ambitious Toyota strategy is. That is producing what many feel is a poorly made truck for considerable more then the competition and pump out nearly as many trucks as the entire segment combined (300k/year). That was their goals. They are delusional.
@@HiPlains1 I don't think it's a bad truck but early adopters always gotta pay more. They should sell more units in 2025 just based on availability. To date for 2024, they sold around 130k units, and partially due to availability (but mostly due to pricing). If each plant is suppose to produce 150k units, they would still need to keep both plans running to meeting even today's demand/sales. Most likely they will sell 150k units by end of this year and probably more so in 2025. So they would need to keep both plants running to meet the demand, at most just slow down production on both plants. Until they gave it a full year production schedule, it's hard to justify what the actual demand/sales could be, so I don't see them shutting down a whole plant. If anything, they need to go back to the drawing board on pricing and packaging/marketing before slowing down production, let alone shutting down a whole plant.
You just witnessed a Toyota GRAVE YARD!!!!
lol 😂 right
Prices have got to drop in a major way before I finance one! I would finance one if the price drops and the interest rates drop major!
Come on Toyota that price is out of control
they will be selling these 24s for 25-30k in the near future
Mid $25k is ideal for a V4.🎉
lol that would be good
Luv ya, Kenny! Hang in there!
Thanks a lot my friend I truly appreciate the support have a great week !

What do you mean they added wheels and tires, lol, I thought the truck was supposed to already come with wheels and tires.

Exactly I hear you my friend
That i-Force looks a bit (behind cab) like the Nissan Titan Pro 4x. Odd. Except the Nissan, last year (24'), still has a V8 no turbo.
Yeah true

The Solar Octane is the best one!
Thanks a lot, my friend. I absolutely love my truck and the color.
If only they could discount the TRD PROS, that would be awesome
People may fear that recession is coming ! 😅😅😅😅😅😓😓😓😓😓😓

Again, what the hell is the purpose of the "landcruiser" and yes thats is quotations because its not a real LC by any means
@@peterdaniel66 to go to a price point the 4Runner fears to tread. They’ll have a range of trims from 40-80k for the same vehicle

Buy one 😂🎉get Exstra one free one for spare parts free 🎉
lol 😂 good one lol
Trucks piling up, but the Land Cruiser’s gone before they hit the lot. If you’re paying > 60$k might as well get a back seat
Exactly very true my friend!
You lost me at counting Tacomas one by one. Do yourself a favor and don't follow the crowd on all the ridiculous 10 minute videos full of fluff.
Lol 😂 I had nothing else better to do lol it was just a couple of minutes on the counting lol
Toyota want tooo much $$$$$ for those cheap looking tacomas 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Facts lol 😆
That's because they put a POS engine in them and they are way over priced. Millions of recalls they will spend everything to not go bankrupt
Yeah crazy
