    I don't hate having Autism, but hate how others hate me for having autism without getting to know me first.

    Simple solution to this problem that will help reduce all discrimination. Stop doing interviews because that's where most of the discrimination happens and it will save time

      Could not agree more! Interviews are bad enough for people not on the spectrum.

    I think that a better way to interview people with autism is to let them have a day where the employer and the person with autism get to have a day where they actually get to work the job to see how well they really do in real life situations.

      Sadly they'll never do that. If they know someone applying for a job is autistic, they'll immediately consider you a waste of time.

      I lie and pose an an NT, I put in extra leg work to prepare for interviews and that's kept me employed fairly consistently for the better part of 20 years.

      There's no us vs them. There's a me vs. Everyone else, and it's already determined that I lose. I just intend to go down swinging.

    @Everyone with autism: who of you agrees that painless suicide is a viable way for people on the spectrum to "exit" their lives if rejected by society, despite looking for a job?

    • @notblondeswede
      @notblondeswede 3 года назад +11

      Why are you asking? People with autism have a greater worth, they are just not recognised for their talents and discriminated against even when they are more intelligent, innovative and qualified. The only people offered to exit should be nts who exclude them.
