Thank you for this beautiful reaction to this amazing performance by Angelina. Her very own reading of this classic, which she has developed on her own, is sensational not only for a 10-year-old girl, but for an adult as well, there is not only her understanding of the musical texture of the song, but also the ability to change it in a very unique way. Hi, Jayflex! Thank you for another excellent reaction to Angelina. It was when she was 10 that I realised she had matured to the stage that she could no longer considered a "child" singer, but had eared the right to be judged among all other professional artists.
It is a toss-up for me whether this performance or the one she did about 6 months later at a Charity event, held in a concert hall, is the best. All I will say is that she had had another 6 months to hone her talents and, in my opinion, it shows. Although I don't expect you to react to it - although it would be wonderful if you decided to do so - here is the link to the indoor performance at the Charity Concert. Norway's Got Talent - as incredible as it was - was just the beginning, it's a 10-year journey and each time you don't believe that it could get any better, even more spectacular, even more emotionally moving - but that's exactly how it is.
This TV format is quite popular in Norway, the venue seats 10,000 spectators but is aired on TV nationwide the next day (you may recognize the TV2 logo in the upper left corner). Angelina performs there often from age 8 to 16.
This performance has some advantages - her voice is very much in the foreground compared to instrumental accompaniment, you see a lot of the audience (even if they are very reserved Norwegians) and the final crescendo is great - but the performance at a charity gala six months later on "The Stream gir tilbake" Dec 30th, 2016 ruclips.net/video/p8kAL-sGJx8/видео.html is really spectacular 💜

Dear sir, Angelina Jordan began singing at age 1,5 years old, she discovered Jazz at age 2 and decided at age 3,5 to practice almost every day for many hours. She still does. A respected vocal coach said, that at age 10 (yes here) she could give master classes in singing. Happy to have you with us.

Angelina was 10 yo in this, an age when many of her fans think she achieved a fully "adult" voice, but it still continues to get better every year. The vocal chords aren't fully developed in female vocalists until mid- to late-20's & that should be scary for many superstar vocalists out there. Just sayin'!!!
She is still the same today, only better. I heard her in Portsmouth: best concert in my life of 73 years. I have no idea what to expect in Las Vegas at the Westgate Hotel on Fen 29th other than a killer band and the best singer I've ever heard. The best thing I've ever heard from Angelina is always the last thing I've listened to.❤

Angelina does this song to perfection...hard to see how, but, this isn't even her best version...this is on her way to the perfection...in this one she hadn't yet mastered the 5 note rises through the song...two of them were a bit inaccurate...later on in the same year, she did it again on stage with a ten piece band, for a telethon type event...now that one - that's perfection!
Very good reaction, that’s what the barefoot princess does. She absolutely stuns, and brings tears to peoples eyes with her music. Even at that young age, she knows how to present a song and make people feel it. She is absolutely an angel sent from heaven.

Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on RUclips went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RUclips video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RUclips. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On RUclips, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”.
Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. It Was a great concert, who was not and could regret it, a big mistake. On 10/27/23 she released her new orginal singiel “Our Time”. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. She will have a concert in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the stage where Elvis sang. Westgate Resort & Casino, February 29, 2024, 7pm & 9:30pm.

This is an unbelievable performance in front of this huge crowd, but you should also see her indoor performance at the "Stream Gir Tilbake" with a great jazz band (also at 10 yrs. old). I know it's hard to fathom, but she just gets better and better year after year. I just saw her live show at the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas and it was fantastic. Her voice in person is incomprehensible, she looked fabulous with 2 beautiful gowns and her band was amazing too. It was well worth it.
