Da Vinci was far ahead of his time. Following the +/- 2 year gap regarding his where abouts in his mid-twenties, he returned and produced many of his iconic drawings, including the helicopter and the tank concept. Could it be he met with "elders" who gave him insights that were, and continue to be, mind-blowing. Just thinking out of the box...

This is shockingly poor form from National Geographic, a brand I grew up with I admired and that inspired me. Not only is the tone, well, deaf, the information is only "correct" or "accurate" if you take a very generous attitude about it.
    1) The craft being towed behind a truck was not a copter as it was initially* identified, but an autogyro. *Autogyro was mentioned later in that section.
    2) The AH-1 Cobra hitting the building was just sensationalist rubbish. It has nothing to do with "how helicopters fly."
    3) The Robinson hitting the powerline also had zero to do with "how helicopters fly."
The description of the series says it is about "... funniest fail clips." Only a greedy media company would consider aircraft accidents funny fail clips.
