As we can see when the Monarchs met to plan going against Jinwoo, they did not seem to be able to come up with a good plan except facing him head-on. This might suggest the author saying that the capture of Legia turned the tide of the war as the enemies has then lost their cunning and could only attack head-on. He is also called the Monarch of the Beginning which suggests he preceded the Monarchs which could mean he knows what they are capable of further enhancing his ability to plan against the Rulers. This might also explain why Ashborn despite being so strong did not seem to plan all that well causing Jinwoo to outwit him pretty easily despite their large gap in power.

We get to know a lot about the monarchs in Solo Leveling Ragnarok. However, one thing i find odd is how Tarnak's origin doesn't align with the original story of the absolute being creating the monarchs. Tarnak was really weak and he was trained by someone named ammut. Ammut's training is reallly effective as he trained a normal E-rank hunter (an actual, human hunter) to be able to run faster than an A-rank hunter.
Very entertaining with this meticulous explanation. Subscribed. On a side note,. I think the only weak elements of SL plot were the romance and somehow abrupt ending that I thought was conditioned for a sequel since we got the bonus chapters and some unexplained things like SJW's shadow army that he get back again even in a world without gates.
In a straight up 1v1 Antares is stronger than Ashborn but Ashborn beats him in a battle of armies because of shadow extraction. He can just convert Antares fallen dragons into his army
In my personal opinion I think the frost monarch should be above the beast monarch, while the frost monarch may not be as durable as Rakan, he seems to be way more skilled and resourceful as a fighter, being able to 1v1 Jin Woo's dad and avoid his attacks, freeze all Jin Woo shadows for a considerable ammount of time, create an army of frost giants and most impressive of all, he almost killed Jin Woo's dad, who needed to get saved by an awakaned Igris, I definetly think the frost monarch was the most formidable one in the deadlock against Sung Jin Woo. Rakan on the other hand against both Jin Woo and his dad was always trying to attack them from behind while the frost monarch was taking the front and being the main target/fighter.
This opinion is lit, bro 🔥! I just think Rakan is stronger 'cause, y'know, he fought alongside Baran against Ashborn. I mean, Antares could've picked the Frost Monarch, but why Rakan? Plus, that guy is a wussy! And I like that at least the Frost Monarch stands his ground, even when Rakan runs away
@@QuoteThemAnime I mean there is a few points to be made here, if you're trying to imply that Rakan is stronger bcs he was chosen to fight against Ashborn instead of the frost monarch then the same logic could be applied to Antares himself, he could have taken the matters into his own hands, but he didnt. Does that mean Rakan is stronger than Antares? Absolutely not. You see, the reason I think Antares didnt fought against Ashborn himself together with Baran is the same reason why I think the frost monarch wasnt there: there was a war going on, the rulers and the monarchs were in a battle against each other, Antares can't simply send all the most powerful troops of monsters and monarchs to ambush Ashborn otherwise they will lose against the rulers and their army, on other hand he couldnt send weak monarchs like the plague monarch to ambush Ashborn bcs the ambush would surely fail, so as I interpret the events that happened Antares had to manage the the placements of the monarchs and their troops, he sent Baran and the demons, who were an extremely powerful race of monsters, together with Rakan and the beasts who may not be some of the strongest but also are not one of the weakest while Antares, the frost monarch and the remaining monarchs were fighting against the rulers and their army, and we actually do know the elfs are some of the strongest races of monsters as they were feared enought to start to get called Hyakki/Ice slayers by the hunters. Maybe if Legia didnt got captured the Frost monarch would also go to ambush Ashborn but since he did the monarchs were on a tough spot, so while I do understand your reasoning, I don't think thats necessarily true, otherwise Baran and Rakan could be considered stronger than Antares since he ordered them to ambush Ashborn instead of taking part on it. But I do agree with most of your ranking, for me It goes: 1:Ashborn, Monarch of Shadows 2:Antares, Monarch of destruction 3:Baran, Monarch of White Flames 4:???, Monarch of Frost 5: Rakan, Monarch of Beasts 6:Legia, Monarch of Beginnings 7:Tarnak, Monarch of Iron Body 8:Queresha, Monarch of Plagues 9:Yogumunt, Monarch of Transfiguration.
Considering the limitations of these beings and how low the Absolute Being's durability and unable to recover and restore himself I don't think Sung Jin Woo is as powerful as some people are claiming he is. He has alot of hax abilities and some interdimension hax but since many of the Monarchs and Rulers have limitations and are relative to each other I don't see Sung Jin Woo being astronomically more powerful then them. And I mean astronomically in a literal scaling sense. Sung Jin Woo is probably relative within thebplanet busting tiers and not much higher. That makes him somebody who would be a good match up with the Bleach verse.
23:22 that is correct but they kneeled to him because the want to ask for forgiveness for killing the absolute being and wanted ashborn to join their side to defeat the monarchs.
Ashborne's story feel like it almost paints him as too flawless. Sure, his transformation into the Shadow Monarch after being betrayed is powerful, but where’s the flaw in his character? It’s like he's just unbeatable, and that kind of power risks making him less relatable. Plus, the way the Monarchs and Rulers are divided felt a bit too straightforward for my taste. The Monarchs are pure destruction, the Rulers are protectors-it’s a classic good vs. evil setup that misses the chance to add real complexity to their motives. And the Frost Monarch’s cunning? Honestly, his “sneaky” moves felt more like temporary stalling tactics against Sung Jin-Woo rather than real strategy. The power dynamics are cool, but they’re a bit too black and white for me. Would have loved to see some more shades of gray here!
Funny the entire story didn't fleshed out the MC's dad. Would be interesting to see how he scales against the top hunters. The guy survived in a dungeon for who knows how long, and even man handled a top tier hunter like its Tyson vs a kid.
Anares is the Strongest Monarch in History before Jinwoo and Ashborne the strongest ruler in history before becoming a monarch, dethroning Anares as the strongest monarch until he died in which Anares inherited back the title before Jinwoo comes along.
No, bro, Bellion can't be a Ruler because Rulers can't become shadows, this is because 'Monarchs and Rulers have astral bodies that are destroyed upon death, so they can't be turned into shadows' - as explained by Legia, the Monarch of the Beginning. Also, I think Bellion is one of the soldiers of the Rulers, and those guys can indeed be turned into shadows
@@QuoteThemAnime so he's just very op like he's powers is like a lower or mid monarch? Like stronger than the other monarch cuz as long as sjw is alive or have mana he can fight for a very long time possible defeating the other weaker monarchs
really weird thing, how can a non ruler/monarch be as strong as monarchs. kinda breaks the setting a bit. it would make sense if Antares also had the same underling, a non-monarch that is as strong as monarchs, to make it that only the strongest Ruler or Monarch has an underling that strong....... but he doesn't.
@@thepieofyourlife4799 Its better explained in the LN. basically SJW still has the “system” remember all the things from the system came from Ashborns power. He still has no limit and gets stronger. Just like The Rulers were able to kill the absolute being. Why is it confusing to see a Monarchs being become stronger than a monarch especially knowing that Ashborns power draws out their best when risen and then they gain more strength as their king gains it.
funny thing the Fragment of brilliant light DID die he didn't transform before death he was essentiainlly reborn like a phoenix becoming Ashborn Hence his name Ashborn
@@QuoteThemAnime I have this same opinion for any story that involves God in general. Totally betrays what they are meant to be just for plot and making the character OP for ridiculous reasons.
I'm confused. How did Ashborn become a Monarch? Was it just because he opposed the Rulers that he is considered a Monarch? Or was there some sort of transformation?
legia is the weakest because the chains did not regesit his powers when he used the spell to get to both to tell truth . So, the giant king cannot control time so it is possible that he was called that because the was made in the beggining
Then there comes the slime rimuru who has the skill absolute physical immunity and uriel's protection that makes him literally immune to every magic attack. So he is immune to magic and physical attacks completely. That makes him literally invincible and after a while he even got Azatoth that can control time, space and literally everything and made him god.
He probably could control time it would make sense bc the rulers went all in to capture him since he's not dead that implies he was to strong to hurt or take out so they caught him lacking got those chains that probably stop his power from activating thos chains were definitely blocking him from using power tho
Honestly feel like queresha was the weakest she’s the only one who was defeated by Jin woo before he unlocked the full powers of the shadow monarch. He could stop her with authority but needed dragon roar said to be one of the top skills in the verse to stop transfiguration. And steel needed bellion and Beru when igris alone could match the frost monarch
Wow, that's a very nice explanation I saw a few more explanations on YT that felt lackluster compared to your explanation I am someone who read Solo Leveling over 10+ times and I can tell in which chapter what happened But I wished u would give others an explanation as, why Jin Woo surpassed Ashborne and why Antaras was so shocked about Jin Woo's spiritualization
Anybody else thought that raken (beast monarch) would transform into a lion or some big cat with a large mane. Instead of the other guy who can transform into a lion (sry i forgot his name)
The sovereigns and Rulers were initially balanced. The strongest sovereign was Antares and the strongest Ruler was Ashborne, who at the time bore the name Greatest fragment of Brilliant Light. Their seconds were strong, but possesses more tactical ability, and were Legia and the Brightest fragment of Brilliant light. The Rulers beyond the strongest two aren’t even named and are likely more equal in strength. As for the other sovereigns, the power ranking strongest to Weakest is Yogument, Baran, Tarnak, Querehsha, Rakan, and Sillad. You kinda had the point right as they have compatibility issues, but you slightly misjudged strength. Bellion tore Tarnak apart easily because he is a sovereign level being on his own. If Ashborne ever permanently died and didn’t have Jin-woo, Bellion could’ve taken his place. Tarnak is kinda like Rakan, being a close range melee fighter, but instead of being an ambush predator that has lower defense and higher offense, he has a more balanced strength, as he is the progenitor of monstrous humanoids(ogres and the like) so he relies on his physical power over speed, along with being a tactical commander. Which is incredibly weak against Bellion’s combat style, which is an absurdly high point strength attack and agility. Combine that with Berry harassment and being isolated means he couldn’t properly fight back. It’s also why Tarnak jumped the nation level with allies, it’s because he didn’t want to take risks. He recognizes that they are weaker with their current bodies and didn’t want to risk a full powered ruler jumping an isolated restrained sovereign. Rakan is much weaker. He’s squishy but faster. Even a ruler’s vessel could probably hurt him. He and Baran only jumped Ashborn when he was weakened from fighting a Ruler army. Baran recognized he was weaker, but just hate Ashborn, and waited for an opportunity to kill him. Rakan did this because he is inherently cowardly, only willing to fight a stronger enemy if he can ambush them. Once proper fighting started, he fled. Sillad is definitely the weakest. He’s a mage type that fights like a melee type. But unlike Querehsha, Sillad’s magic can’t be easily used at range. As shown, to launch attacks at range he has to create a missile(arrows and lances) to act as a medium. So he’s squishy but doesn’t possess any ability to create a highly concentrated attack or large range attack. And Querehsha is stronger but went out easily because she just has piss poor compatibility with higher level beings. She’s an army killer, in video game terms, she’s massive aoe and debuffs. She doesn’t have anything that she can focus on one target beyond rush tactics with parasitic hosts, but that doesn’t work well against sovereigns and rulers, hence why her trying to fight as a melee type just doesn’t work. She’s like the Ant queen, incredibly powerful but possesses combat ability well below her rank because she isn’t built to fight. Yogumunt is a lot more dangerous then you let on. That dude is basically entirely responsible for the logistics of the sovereigns’ armies, and was entirely responsible for their gate systems, hence why isolating him was the most important. Like Querehsha, he’s a back line support type angled towards protection and summoning, but you didn’t recognize the fact that Yogumunt doesn’t need to fight. Dungeon killing is possible, just attacking others with gates and deleting the interior dimension along with the target.
Damn, thanks for pointing this out, bruh 👊 I knew it! Legia was smart! And I feel there's really something off with Tarnak (that you clearly pointed out), so bruh is a strength build guy, not Agility. But were the other details explained in the Light Novel? In Ragnarok, perhaps?

Damn, I'm glad to hear that the Monarchs were explained more in Ragnarok! This just made me even more hyped to read the LN
Nice video! 👍
Thanks is this your first video of ours?
One of the best narrations i have heard bro 🔥🔥

Very entertaining with this meticulous explanation. Subscribed.
On a side note,. I think the only weak elements of SL plot were the romance and somehow abrupt ending that I thought was conditioned for a sequel since we got the bonus chapters and
some unexplained things like SJW's shadow army that he get back again even in a world without gates.
I wonder why none of the other monarchs freed the Giant Monarch
Damn, maybe they're not strong enough to face the Rulers at that time? 🤔
12:14 correction....frost monarch's name is sillad but they just don't state it in manhwa
Yeah, bruh, just found that out
love you bro i've already watch 2 of your videos and they are amazing bro. keep up the good work ❤

In a straight up 1v1 Antares is stronger than Ashborn but Ashborn beats him in a battle of armies because of shadow extraction. He can just convert Antares fallen dragons into his army
Even if SJN summoned Antares dragon it wouldn't make much difference since his immune to fire and their strength is not even a threat to him
nice editing btw bro, sad u only have less than 10k subs
But I do agree with most of your ranking, for me It goes:
1:Ashborn, Monarch of Shadows
2:Antares, Monarch of destruction
3:Baran, Monarch of White Flames
4:???, Monarch of Frost
5: Rakan, Monarch of Beasts
6:Legia, Monarch of Beginnings
7:Tarnak, Monarch of Iron Body
8:Queresha, Monarch of Plagues
9:Yogumunt, Monarch of Transfiguration.

-sure lets see how Jinwoo would fare against him
Considering the limitations of these beings and how low the Absolute Being's durability and unable to recover and restore himself I don't think Sung Jin Woo is as powerful as some people are claiming he is.

Why didnt ash born extract the absolute beings shadow that would've been so op.
That's kinda dumb question you know.. 😑

banger manhwa, read it in just 2 days.... thats how captivating this story was
Ashborne's story feel like it almost paints him as too flawless.
I want to see a vs battle between Sung Jin-Woo and Tenjou Yuuya
What a explanation! Now give us the explanation of rulers vessel and s ranks ❤
Will do that in the future 😊
Yogiri Takatou: shine

Jinwoo is easily one of the strongest up there with Goku, Rimuru and more. And I live for this lineup of god tier characters in the anime world.
Quick question, why didn't Jinwoo go after the ruler for killing the God of Creation?
Anares is the Strongest Monarch in History before Jinwoo and Ashborne the strongest ruler in history before becoming a monarch, dethroning Anares as the strongest monarch until he died in which Anares inherited back the title before Jinwoo comes along.
5:01 But why the rulers told that giant to "kill the humans" is they want to save the Earth? Huh?
Im just guessing is bellion a ruler like ashborn but was the stongest when shborn summoned the shadow?
He was born from some fruit if I remember
@@thepieofyourlife4799 Its better explained in the LN. basically SJW still has the “system” remember all the things from the system came from Ashborns power. He still has no limit and gets stronger. Just like The Rulers were able to kill the absolute being. Why is it confusing to see a Monarchs being become stronger than a monarch especially knowing that Ashborns power draws out their best when risen and then they gain more strength as their king gains it.
funny thing the Fragment of brilliant light DID die he didn't transform before death he was essentiainlly reborn like a phoenix becoming Ashborn Hence his name Ashborn
this is the only part I dont agree with in the lore but it is what it is, creative freedom.
Why call it Absolute if it isn't?
Damn good point though 🤔
@@QuoteThemAnime I have this same opinion for any story that involves God in general. Totally betrays what they are meant to be just for plot and making the character OP for ridiculous reasons.
so this show is basically one punch man
There are some OPM references bruh, especially in the last part of the Manhwa
@@QuoteThemAnime bro you know free Manhwa that I can download?,
I wouldn’t say one punch man per say. He almost dies in season 1 like first thing. He also has to try a couple times to overcome certain challenges.
I'm confused. How did Ashborn become a Monarch? Was it just because he opposed the Rulers that he is considered a Monarch? Or was there some sort of transformation?
Ashborn switched sides, which is how he ended up becoming a Monarch. So, basically it was like joining a new team
2:13 not like i will ever find a partner
legia is the weakest because the chains did not regesit his powers when he used the spell to get to both to tell truth .

The way you say Antares is crazy
Confused me at the start because you said there are messengers and monarchs, and then said the shadow monarch is a messenger. Still fire vid though
Yeah Asborn was a Messenger/Ruler before he became a Monarch
Imagine jin woo can actually make other monarchs became shadows.
I was imagining the same thing back when reading the manhwa... I swear that'll be craaaaazy bro
you unintentionally explained the entire story in just twenty five minutes

1:32 The others warent wrong. It has been explained more in Solo Leveling Ragnarok.
Wow what a video ♥️♥️♥️♥️😱😱😱😱😱
Wow, that's a very nice explanation
I saw a few more explanations on YT that felt lackluster compared to your explanation
I am someone who read Solo Leveling over 10+ times and I can tell in which chapter what happened
But I wished u would give others an explanation as, why Jin Woo surpassed Ashborne and why Antaras was so shocked about Jin Woo's spiritualization
He's called the Monarch of Beginning because according to legend (just in general), the first beings were giants
woaaaah really?! where did they mention that?!
@@QuoteThemAnime just a myth/cliche plot in general. A handful of shows, movies, or anime usually describe giants as the first beings of the world

Baek Yunho
the absolute being is a megalomaniac who is happy watching his creation killing each other.
25:18 "im you" WHERE U GO I GO
simple yet badass quote
