    Love your videos, used them on my first car many times but sadly for the last time now. Slipped of the road and flipped a couple of times just 3 hours ago, nobody gut hurt but the once so beautiful red Fabia is now a wreck :(

      Oh no, that's bad, glad nobody was hurt, shame about your little fabi. I'm a believer in things happen for a reason, so maybe it was time for her to go and make way for a new one. All the best :-)

    Needed such video a week ago. It was not so easy, all the clips were stuck in metal, but I didn't broke that places they were sitting. Was using that plastic instrument you are using in your video.

      Glad you didn't break the panel and were able to fit it back nicely. As I said in the video a metal angled tool would have been the best and have now ordered one as they are pretty cheap. :-)

    About to lay my cables from front to end, installing a sub in the trunk. I think I have to remove seats and as well many plastic panels. Do you have a video guide on the latter subject? I dont want to break clips or panels. Big up!

    Another great video in series.
    How do you connect camera charger to car 12V system? In Skoda Fabia fuses are very close to cover, so there doesn't seem to be enough space to use standard car fuse tap / splitter.

    • @an1_uk
      @an1_uk 3 года назад

      I went to the effort of taking out the fusebox and fitting a new fuse holder in an empty space in the fuse box. There's a positive terminal just above the relays where you need to take the positive feed from. You can use the screw securing the fusebox for a ground. It's not as difficult as it sounds. I think the part number you need for wire to add to fusebox is 000 979 227.

      @@an1_uk Thanks for answer (and part number). Doing it that way seams like most profesional way to do this.
      To populate additional fuse position in fuse box: did you disassemble lower dashboard (ruclips.net/video/Kb1ZQCxus48/видео.html) , or just puled fuse box out/to the side of the car?

      @@Lukdzwo I removed lower dash to get best access. Think it's just the light switch, about 7 torx screws, then the obd port to unclip.

      You will have to take out the seats, center console and side trims which is a big job. If you only need to lift it in a specific area you maybe able to do that. Good luck and I will add this video idea to my list. Thanks :-)

  • @an1_uk

    While you have this off, if your car doesn't have it you can add a clip to hold car park tickets etc. I used strong double sided tape to secure it as didn't like idea of taking a drill to the A pillar. Works fine. Part number is 6Y0867159 and should cost next to nothing.

    • @HatBoyHarvey

      Thanks, great idea, there are holes already in the pillar for these, but they are more central and I would prefer the holder to be either low down or high up away from my vision :-)
