- In this video, I showcase the Water Treatment Facility home of Pump Man, enemies, and new abilities for Mega Man.
In Mega Man Slide, Mega can enhances his sliding capabilities with the weapons he has available to him, such as Noise Slide. The Noise Slide gives Mega a window of invincibility when activated so that you can easily avoid enemy attacks. It also appears Mega Man meets and old friend in the Facility, who's not in the best condition. Can Mega Man save them? Find out next time on the next Mega Man Slide Video.

Nice to see a Mega Man fangame that doesn't use the usual 8-bit aesthetic every other Mega Man fangame does.
I was thinking about that. "What if there was an ultra-modern Mega Man, maybe it's 3D, using all the latest game design, where you had a robot who could run and shoot and jump and slide and oh hey that's Warframe."
This. Absolutely this. So refreshing and fun to see
Honestly in my personal opinion, Mega Man fangames that are new and original but follow the same formula/structure (Unlimited, Rock Force, SFR, Rock N Roll, etc) should retain the 8-bit aesthetic, but fangames like this that are just new iterations on previous works should have different art styles (and I am LOVING this style so far, it's actual perfection)
The "8-Bit Megaman style" has become like the CalArts aesthetic.
This looks more 16-bit
I think graphic wise, this is good enough to be an official Mega Man game.

It's a redux of a MM10 level; although those Metalls were originally one-hit, the pirouetting ones from MM4 took more buster shots to beat.
That's what makes them satisfying. They're kinda ruined when they take more shots

The artstyle is really grabbing! Not to mention I'm a sucker the atmosphere you got going (have you read the megamix manga? seems like you might be headed towards that kind of tone, and it's very appreciated). Anyway, this project looks super solid! Good luck!

What exactly made you choose 16/32-bit style instead of 8-bit? Is it because you're sick of 8-bit (which I barely understand, honestly)? Or did you want to put your skills to a test?
Thank you! I’m a big fan of Mega Man 8 and Mega Man 11 so I felt like merging the two styles in a way that I could manage myself would be really interesting. I do like the 8 bit fan games a lot, just not something I wanted to do for this project.

Megaman 12 went back for pixel art, but It's an Gorgeous 32bit Style, the Starforce suit looks awesome, Does Megaman starts with this "ability" to freeze weak enemy shots to avoid damage?

for now they're just a detail, the power gear moving for shooting, the speed gear moving for a slide.

Some constructive feedback - In my personal opinion, try improving onto Pump Man's stage. Instead of repeating sections from his stage, change it up ! Add some unique new enemies, perhaps an enemy that fires a blast of water that pushes you back. Enemy variety in this clip is a little lacking - Mostly the slime mets. Weapon energy placement I think is placed a bit too early in the stage. Or perhaps add a small challenge to it. Perhaps a mid-boss would be cool too.
Now, THIS looks impressive.

Hi names Grey anyway I got SO MANY QUESTIONS when Is the game coming out ? Will the double gear system be in here ? and the most important question of all WILL PROTOMAN AND BASS (with the super adapter for bass and mega plz ) BE PLAYABLE
Thank you grey! The double gear system is not going to be in this game, however there are new abilities associated with eh slide, and playable bass and proton are soon to be determined!

What’s the stage start theme?
The only thing I didn’t like was the music, it doesn’t really fit with the megaman style, I think it would have been better if the music were like megaman 8, other than that, it’s the best fan game I’ve ever seen!

The game is being made from scratch in Game Maker Studio 2! Give it a shot, but a lot of game engines should be functional.

Yeah, i was getting a bit sick of all these MM fan games using the old NES sprites.. it's not difficult to do better.. and they either refuse to do better, or can't do better..
@@Real_The_Goof Wouldn't agree with "it's not difficult to do better" because 16-bit style + smooth animations are at least 3 times harder to do. If you were an artist, you'd know that (I'm an artist either though lol). You must be a very talented artist to do this alone. 8-bit is just much easier to do if you're not skilled enough.
Saying about 8-bit: look at Mega Man Shattered Diamond. Being 8-bit, its art style is still different from everything we've seen before.

other than that, this game looks FANTASTIC! And for those who are wondering what video the link brings you to, it's basically a video that debunks the
"Zero killed everyone" theory aka "cataclysm theory". But yeah about the GAME they're making, I really appreciate how their going for a completely new look that isn't the usual 8 bit look that megaman 1 to 6 had, I would like to know though, are the megaman 8 sound effects placeholders? I don't really have a problem if they're not but I do feel it'd be a missed opportunity to give the game potentially more satisfying sound effects, other than that, as long as they make the games difficulty fair but challenging, or at least not full on irritating, I'd say this game is in good hands... Wow this comment is LONG!

I like the more cartoony noises over 8 Bit Earrape noises the Classic 8 Bit Games have. Also I already feel like Zero will show up as the end boss or something
That looks so freaking awesome. Only downside for me personally is that the music sounds like Genesis (I always appreciated the SNES' sound over the Genesis'). But why do I complain? I would play the shit out of it as soon as this is available :)
