Ozone is definitely a premium piece of equipment. You figure ozone generator unit is $279.99 and if you add a dryer Ozotech IQ-20 Air $700. With that said a lot of detail, and higher end pump (Sicce SK 200 Skimmer Pump $55) should be taken into account. Economy, inflation and base material cost going up are also another factor. Haven't seen a cheaper ozone unit with even close to the same quality. The hobby in general is just insane now 😞
@@Trickmanii the mutiny reactor is $700 without the ozone machine itself or the pump. Ridiculously overpriced. I bought one on e-bay a few years ago for $150 and it still works fine. Very basic piece of equipment. and yes everything in the hobby has gone through the roof. Crazy.
@@PawleyWalnuts Out of curiosity what are the reactors on ebay going for now? Georeef has one for $500 without the carbon stage. They add $180 for the carbon component. It's expensive but I don't think they are ripping anyone off for the quality you get. I will say everything I own from Avast marine has been well thought out and good quality. Although not cheap in price. Thanks for checking out the video. Wish the hobby prices would come down for sure.
