    For the folks yelling for deep cleaning his system, he uses aquarium water to rinse the media off so he doesn’t strip them entirely. He still has a base left behind for his colony to replenish. Also a big difference if cleaning with well water or chlorinated water. Well water isn’t as harmful to bacteria as chlorine which will just about kill everything. Just a thought.
    I have a koi channel if anyone want to subscribe!

      The Leaping Rabbit they are known to eat plants and can choke on gravel :)
      So gravel is a no no :)
      I think some people counter that with sand tho.. I’m not sure.
      Check out the Chanel Fish For Thought
      He’s entertaining to watch and he teaches what not to do with fish by reviewing fish memes.
      He also reviews fish tanks community sends him.

    • @AdriCr4ft
      @AdriCr4ft 4 года назад +1

      Ashley Cyril Goldfish like to dig about in the substrate of their tank and sift through it, something that a sand base very much enables. Sand is a good substrate for promoting natural foraging behavior in your fish, and so, can help to contribute to keeping your goldfish happy and well by enabling this natural behavior. What I don’t recommend is artificial plants!
      They look terrible don’t provide any pros to the fish tank and fish can cut them self’s on them and even die. What you can say tho.. is to use hardy plants like Java fern.
      I just wanted to get it clear that it is fine to use plants but be aware of your pocket because most of them will not make it. That’s the only reason!
      Java fern I find great because they reproduce quite fast even on a tank with no oxygen injection.
      You might even be lucky because it all comes down to the fish personality.
      You might get lucky and get a fish that appreciates interior design lol

    • @AdriCr4ft
      @AdriCr4ft 4 года назад +1

      Ashley Cyril they don’t have artificial plants in the wild so it’s not natural.
      Can’t really criticise a tank that is empty when you are using artificial plants lol
      You basically proved my point when I said it’s just aesthetically pleasing for yourself not the animal.
      They choke and they die.
      If you do your research you will find the substrate most found in their wild habitats is in fact sand.
      You can’t choke on sand lol
      You have rocks and driftwood.
      Just because you don’t see a problem with it, doesn’t mean there isn’t one.
      Never met anyone who said plastic is more beautiful than the real deal lol
      Save the environment guys save the turtles

    • @AdriCr4ft
      @AdriCr4ft 4 года назад +1

      Ashley Cyril they choke on gravel -.-
      If you really want artificial plants... the better is fabric plants 🙄can’t really change someone’s way of thinking but at least can try to improve it...
      there’s a lot of fabric made plants for fish . It’s not hard plastic so it’s less of a chance of them getting hurt.
      Just google it... I’m done.
      There’s people wanting to learn and willing to learn, and there’s the stubborn people that won’t take good tips that are there for the good welfare of their pet.
      Just like people who fit Bettas into vodka bottles and put goldfish in tiny bowls.
      I’m done. I’m typing in English and yet it’s like I’m typing in Chinese.
      Just typed the same sentence 3 times.

    1.what's the size of the aquarium and how many gallons of water?
    2.what is the specification of the filter and air pump?
    3.how much aquarium salt for this size of aquarium?
