Just a couple details based on the comments you made. 1. The reason Annie was following Kenny is because she was tailing the Military Police in the capital of the inner most wall so that she could learn more about the king and the location of the founding titan since that's their mission. Hence why after Kenny catches her though she tells Reiner that she's reached her limit and won't be able to get any further as long as Kenny's there and that they should go back. 2. Reiner blowing his brains out would've worked. Not gonna say why since the anime may include the reason in coming episodes but I don't want people thinking his attempted suicide was something that was stupid and pointless. It would've killed him.
Well the only reason he survived losing his head before is because he transferred his consciousness, so if he doesn't do that I'm sure it's plenty lethal to get a bullet to the brain.
1. Thank you for that entire context, It makes that follow up conversation Annie has with Reiner and Bert that she was at her limit. Man the comments section will tear me apart this week for assuming both Annie and Kenny are related lol.
The anime so far has been super fast pace that they’re missing details like this in the anime :(( hope they don’t continue this pace and slow down a bit
They skipped this in the anime. But Annie wasn't choked out. She ran with them to the wall as Female Titan (later swapping with Reiner's Armored Titan) and that drew the attention of pure titans to the walls and on reaching the walls Bertholt transformed broke the wall and transformed back to human form and Reiner in Armored Form jumped the wall and got them across the wall and then broke down inner Walls.
yeah i heard isayama was working with them this episode so maybe he just wanted that part taken out because he tends to have parts he thinks arent as nessacary out the series sometimes
This definitely explains why it is that Reiner is in the state of mind he finds himself currently . It’s sad to see the brainwashing these characters have suffered. I’m glad we’re getting to see the other side’s story. I’m hoping for as happy of a happy ending that Attack on Titan can provide. It took me until I saw his eyes. Annie did partake in the attack, but all she did was call all the Titans to the walls. The reason she was asleep when they were in wall Rose was because doing that after walking all day consumed all her energy, so she passed out as soon as she left her Titan.
I think the anime wants watchers to think that she passed out after Reiner choked her, since they didn’t show that scene where she transformed. Otherwise it would be just a mess of confusion. For manga readers, she passed out from exhaustion, for anime watchers she passed out after being choked. I think that’s the intention of the anime after cutting her scene.
This show is really what happens when you really write down your full story and construct the universe and background accordingly. We are still understanding now thigbs that happened in season 1 episode 1. The level of foreshadowing is crazy
I think Berthold looked that way at the smiling titan cuz he was afraid of it. They might be titan shifters but they still fear the titans. And the jaw titan's name is Porco Galliard.
When Marcel got eaten by Ymir, the reason they didn't transform was cause they panicked and ran away. That's why Annie complained about Reiner running away and failing to secure Jaws.
Reiner is easy to black out when there is traumatic moment. Example, He and his father scene, and when Marco was being eaten, he probably black out and when he waking up, he is seeing Marco getting eaten.
@@babc6394 Ye, I mean it's super understandable. Even without all that they are kids. All 3 of them couldn't react to what was happening. They were all really young and the only 1 dedicated to the mission was actually Reiner.

9:00 they are kids bro, how would they have the state of mind to transform right after they saw their friend die. They got scared, ran away and then realized they could’ve got Ymir instead of running away.
Probably why the colonel/general whatever said it was a stupid idea to send only kids alone, tbh this mission could have been a wrap in a few days if they add someone like Erwin on their side who guided them, that 's a little bit of a plot hole imo I dont think the marlyan would be dumb enough to just send 4 kids without no one guiding them.
titan shifters can choose when to heal, also you forgot that if their conciousness is lost they cant heal and they die, this was thing in s3 part 2 when they focused on that reiner shifted his conciousness from his brain to his lower body, so that when his head was blown off, he could still heal
Marcel Galliard was the Jaw titan Warrior who died to save Reiner. Porco Galliard inherited the Jaw titan from Ymir when Reiner and Zeke returned to Marley, shown in one of these past episodes.
Nice reaction. Annie had that confrontation with Kenny becuas esher joined the military police to investigate the founding titan. But was somewhat caught be Kenny.
Just to remind you, titan shifters can control their regeneration like Reiner did on season 2 before the reveal that he is the armored titan and then began to heal his arm
It’s clear as day that eren is there for revenge for what they did to him and everyone on paradis island, and the limb missing part is to make him fit in
well yes, but I do not think that it will be something as trivial as revenge. Isayaama has proven to be better than that so i expect eren to have a more cynical more brutally realistic goal... we will have to see in order to find out tho
I don't know if this comment will be seen by anyone, but I think it's important to mention that Annie wasn't KO'd for the destruction of the walls. This episode cut a decent amount of stuff, and while I was fine with most of the cuts, one important thing they cut was Annie's role in the destruction of the walls. Marcel was supposed to be the Warriors' ride to the walls, and then Annie would switch halfway to conserve stamina, and then scream to attract titans to the hole that Bert would make. But since Marcel was dead, Annie had to carry the other two and run all the way to the walls, revert to human form, have Bert transform and kick the wall, have Bert revert and then have Reiner transform and take them to safety. I think this is a really good episode overall, but I'd highly suggest anyone who's interested to read the full flashback in the manga. Chapter 96 covers what I was talking about here, and Chapters 94-97 (I think) are the flashback in full.
I can't believe some people still haven't recognized him im speechless😂🙈 all the focus on him? the fact that they never showed his eyes? his voice? *they literally showed his whole face now and revealed his identity* but it's fine it's fun to see all the different reactions 🌌
I think that Bertholdt's reaction towards Dina was because she didn't target him while he was vulnerable after detransforming, because she went straight to Eren.
Also, Galliard is their last name. The older brother that got eaten by Ymir was Marcel Galliard, and the current Jaw Titan that we know is Porco Galliard
Eren was teased in the 2nd Ep and so was another character in the 1st Ep. It’s safe to assume while Marley forces are preparing for another Operation. The Survey Corps and Paradis forces aren’t sitting idly by for them as well.
12:10 Yes that would have killed Reiner. He was aiming for his own Medulla Oblongata. One bullet in there and its lights out. Special Forces are trained to aim for that spot in hostage situations because taking out that part is instant death as well as an instant stop to any involuntary muscular movement like twitching that could otherwise occur in a fresh corpse.
Titan shifters can control their regeneration. Remember when Reiner got bit in the arm and got injured during season 2? It didn't heal until their covers got blown
Anime didn’t show this, for some reason. But Annie ran them to the wall in her Titan form, and was too exhausted to fight or attack. So that’s why she wasn’t there
I loved this ep. also I freaked when eren popped up. I knew it was him instantly after the last ep. Also loved the perspective on what was going on while eren was sitting in the wall going “I want something to happen”
Remember that titan shifters can make their healing factor “stop” willingly. Remember when Reiner got bit on the arm by a small titan back on season 2? Well we saw Historia tending to his wound, there was no smoke coming out not was it healing at an absurd rate. He did this as not get found out.
this story the old man tells to Berthold, Reiner and Annie, is the same history Berthold told to Eren in the first season when asked about what happened to him when the wall fall
So tell me if I'm wrong in not, I have never read the manga or anything like that. Back in session two episode four, when the scouts were in the castle there was a scene where Reiner and Yamir were looking for food. Yamir finds a old can of food that says fish(or something like it) and Reiner says the can was ancient how can she read it. I think this is when he realizes not only is she a titan with their memories but she's the Lost Jaws Titan that ate his buddy in this episode. Obviously having an effect on him. Following the rabbit hole further, she must have been turned into a Titan against her will and transported to the island.
Bertolt looking at Dina seems to be a call back from when Eren told bertolt that he was the one who kicked the boulder that flew and destroyed their house, got her mom stuck and eventually Titan Dina ate her. It shows so many emotions from Bertolt's point of view that this isn't something he wants or easy for him to do as well.
to give you more context on what happened when bert kicked the wall they cut out a part in the manga where they started getting chased by titans and reiner and annie transformed to run away toward the wall then bert kicked the wall
08:45 The anime didn't make it completly clear but all 3 of them ran away because of fear, not because of logic. They are all still kids after all. Reinar even shouts in the manga "I'm gonna be a hero" as he's running away from saving Marcel.
Lax I realized after watching Darrius’ reaction that Pock would not received any memories of Eren and all those living on Paradis from his brother. Marcel died before the mission. So when Pock referenced seeing what happened from his brother’s memories he was talking about how Reiner was before Marcel got eaten
This episodes basically explains why it is that Reiner is in the messed up/brainwashed state of mind he is in now. Also him blowing out his head would have killed him.
I think the reason why Bertholdt reacted in a shocking way was because he thought that he was going to be eaten, due to being in his human form. But instead, Dina walked passed, meaning they could recognise he was a titan shifter. I'm not sure if this is correct, but it makes sense :) I really look forward to your videos every week, your reactions are really enjoyable to watch :D
so much cut content. in the manga annie transforms and runs to the wall because wild titans are chasing them. Once the group reaches the wall they break in since they had no other option. The plan was for Jaw titan to do most of the traveling, but they lost their transportation
i think they didn't expected other titans to show up, their main goal was to see how the founding titan reacts, not to lure other titans into the walls
Could anyone explain the selection process to me. Like they show us the different attributes of the Nine so does that mean that if any of the other warriors wasn’t up to par then they’ll get eaten?
So yeah, it will be easily misunderstood. Annie is not unconscious for the whole breaking the wall mission because of Reiner's choke. It is cut in the anime but Annie had get them closer to wall by carrying both Reiner and Bert, running while being chase by a horde of titans. You didn't see her not just because she's choked out, unfortunately it was cut but that's what happened in the manga.
I don't know if you skip comments on AoT videos because of spoilers but the anime skipped over why Annie was left out of the invasion. She was the one who ran them to the Wall. Porco(Galliard's) brother Marcel was supposed to run them to the Wall with his Jaw Titan because of the speed/stamina of that and Annie was supposed to run part of the way to conserve strength. But Annie had to run the entire way because they lost the Jaw Titan. On their way to the wall, they were chased by Titans as well. Technically, they could have killed the rando titans but the transformations would have drained all of them and they already lost one Titan so they needed to conserve as much energy as possible. So by the time they got to the wall, she was exhausted so all she could do is use her Titan scream to call the pure titans to the wall while Bert and Reiner had to do the rest of the work. The anime cut out that extremely important detail that shows that they literally fumbled/bullshitted their way through the whole invasion at the beginning of the series. I would read that part in the manga if I were you.
I love how they tease us about how Titans are in wars and modernised wars. I understand why the entire world dislike Eldians, they are fucking scaryyy OMG!!
bertholdt was staring at dina because she completely ignored him even tho titans attack humans on sight, its like dina was on autopilot towards eren's house.
The Cart Titan apparently was supposed to be a guy named Oliver Pieck. But it was decided to change the character completely. (Im not sure about the credibility of this info im an anime only) watcher)
I watch the dub so I was wondering if the folks who normally watch the sub would catch on to that dude being Eren right away. Reiner is such a well-made character. Just perfectly tragic.
no the Annie didn't pass out from the choking and woke up inside wall rose. the anime actually cut a lot of operation details of them inside the walls and how they reached the wall as they were riding annie's titan i recommend anime onlies to read chapter 96 and 97.

Lax I realized after watching Darrius’ reaction that Pock would not received any memories of Eren and all those living on Paradis from his brother. Marcel died before the mission. So when Pock referenced seeing what happened from his brother’s memories he was talking about how Reiner was before Marcel got eaten
I think eren is missing a leg to act like he was a eldian warrior who has PTSD
This episodes basically explains why it is that Reiner is in the messed up/brainwashed state of mind he is in now. Also him blowing out his head would have killed him.
Eren and the gang pulling a reverse uno card on the eldians and marleyans
I think the reason why Bertholdt reacted in a shocking way was because he thought that he was going to be eaten, due to being in his human form. But instead, Dina walked passed, meaning they could recognise he was a titan shifter. I'm not sure if this is correct, but it makes sense :) I really look forward to your videos every week, your reactions are really enjoyable to watch :D
I recognized Itadori’s VA when young Annie and young Reiner were arguing.
i also was struggeling trying to tell why the voice sounded so familiar lol
Annie was the one who called all those titans to the Wall lmao. She was a part of the initial attack that we see in S1E1
Bertolt was looking at dina’s titan weird cuz it didn’t went after him like any titan would
He was looking at her weird because the smile titan didnt go fot him but kind of looked like it had a goal
Also not sure why the reason bertohldt looked at geishas ex wife like that but it kind of just looked like he was just scared
Lax was pissed to see Hoover's thin ass arms 🤣
so much cut content. in the manga annie transforms and runs to the wall because wild titans are chasing them. Once the group reaches the wall they break in since they had no other option. The plan was for Jaw titan to do most of the traveling, but they lost their transportation
Took 20 years to realise that was Eren😭🥱even in ep 2 it was very noticeable
i think they didn't expected other titans to show up, their main goal was to see how the founding titan reacts, not to lure other titans into the walls
Annie was actually the one to draw the other Titans in
Interesting to see how Ymir got her jaw powers, eating Marcel. Amazing episode explaining all the missing details.
Yeah in one of the previous seasons we saw how Ymir got he jaw Titan but I didn’t know that it was marcel it has made a lot more things clear.
when I heard erens voice I freaked outttt lmao what a great episode
Could anyone explain the selection process to me. Like they show us the different attributes of the Nine so does that mean that if any of the other warriors wasn’t up to par then they’ll get eaten?
So yeah, it will be easily misunderstood. Annie is not unconscious for the whole breaking the wall mission because of Reiner's choke. It is cut in the anime but Annie had get them closer to wall by carrying both Reiner and Bert, running while being chase by a horde of titans. You didn't see her not just because she's choked out, unfortunately it was cut but that's what happened in the manga.
I think Mappa might show this detail later on, but as to how the scene was delivered I assume a lot of reactors will think the same thing.
Eren being there already to me is one hell of a plot twist
Cats: meow.. ~ meow...
Dogs: Woof! woof!

Idiots: *Animation Sucks!.. Animation Sucks!..*
but what does the fox say ?
hes missing a leg to blend in as a wounded soldier, hes preventing himself healing it
We saw Jean at the end of the first episode he is in Marley
"Cousin Reiner I can't wait to gobble you up" .......
the guy in the end of the first episode who picked up a newspaper was Jean, right?
jeane was in the first episode he was the guy at the end the guy wearing a suit
The Cart Titan apparently was supposed to be a guy named Oliver Pieck. But it was decided to change the character completely. (Im not sure about the credibility of this info im an anime only) watcher)
100% trash dude!
His full name is Porco Gaillard.
His brothers name is Marcel Gaillard
Love Attack on Titan and have been watching, was wondering if you were gonna watch the last episode of Fire Force S2 as it was pretty hype.
Colossal Titan got that Josh Richards body
Also if you haven’t noticed Reiner them used the old mans story as their own
The man who hung himself
I watch the dub so I was wondering if the folks who normally watch the sub would catch on to that dude being Eren right away. Reiner is such a well-made character. Just perfectly tragic.
"Who tf is this?"
Famous last word
no the Annie didn't pass out from the choking and woke up inside wall rose.
the anime actually cut a lot of operation details of them inside the walls and how they reached the wall as they were riding annie's titan i recommend anime onlies to read chapter 96 and 97.
