  • Easy Palette Knife Painting a Figure.
    No matter what creative process you take part in, it takes an active awareness to be able to solve problems, see a new perspective, understand your subjects matter and keep a centered and balanced mindset. For me without these components, I find without effort, I stuff up a painting.
    Thus harmonizing my painting foundation (ie painting process) with an intuitive observant mind, opens up the door to all possibilities......
    Hope you enjoy this video. Thank you for watching.

    Mirjana, you are my new hero!!! The clean up would be so much easier, if I can master the palette knife. I know the video is four years old, but I’m just learning so am really grateful to have found you. Thank you for sharing!!

      Absolute Pleasure. I found that the knife gives me far more control with tones, shades, and over all colour. Keep that palette knife moving. Happy Painting M

    Which medium have you used along with the paint ?

    • @realartiststudios
      @realartiststudios  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hi, I don't use any medium with the paint. I use a very high grade quality paint, that has natural oils, which provides ample pliability. Unless I wanted to add more texture and/or wanted the oil paint to dry quicker, then there are mediums that you can add to the paint, however I seldom add addition texture to my work. I let the paint express its own textural patterns. My suggestion, if budget allows, invest in high quality oil paint, it makes all the difference. One of my favourite (not affiliated with me) that I love is Michael Harding Oil Paint. Incredibly high pigment and the paint glides on canvas. I could write a thesis on how much I love the paint. There are mediums to enhance the depth of the paint, however it all depends on your technique and painting style. Best of luck and happy painting, M

    Pity to speed up painting as it was difficult to see palette knife strokes

      If you have a moment, please check out my other videos. They delve into and unveil the techniques I use in my painting process, great way to build painting know how. I'm also contemplating creating a video focused on the usage of the palette knife, which could prove to be beneficial. Thank you for connecting and happy painting.

      @@realartiststudiosyes, such video would be very beneficial indeed! It's hard to find good advice on how to use a pallette knife. Very few artists on RUclips do actually paint with it.

      @@user-ed5zl2cw2h Excellent, appreciate the confirmation. I'll set about to put a video together on the type of palette knives I have, how I use them and how I mix colour directly on canvas. This will be fun. It might take a couple or so weeks to put together...In the meantime, keep painting, keep creating. Best Wishes, M
