- The popular notion that a woman is incomplete when she does not want to become a mother is now being challenged by a new crop of women. They are childfree, unapologetic and happy.
On the occasion of Women's Day, DH spoke to few women whose definition of womanhood does not rely on becoming mothers.
Not having kids doesn't make me less of a woman. I'm glad to see more women embracing the childfree life. 💚
This is a great step forward. We need more such videos to support and empower people who are like minded.

I am married for 8 years and I & my husband don't have kids. We have adopted 2 kitties and people keep asking is it because you miss having children. No, I adopted my kitties because I love cats not because I'm trying to fill a void. We need more such interviews to explain to the world that couples can be happy without kids. And pet is not a replacement. My cats are my kids but it happened organically.

I was not happy with my life , Infertility drugs , doctor visits and test was making me miserable.
Then I chose not to punish my body and I decided to go child free. It's now 6 years I'm healthy both mentally and physically.

I am happily childfree in a wonderful marriage.
I adore kids, but we don't feel comfortable to bring our kid in this world because of the increasing negative issues in society and climate.

We are also child free couple by choice. Its great choice which I am proud off. Enjoying childrfree life is a luxury that not everyone is capable of affording and has guts to take such decesion specifically illlitrtae society like India. Now when we are in a stage where we enjoy our life without stress which comes along with child, people bearing child are jealous, envy and criticise our decesion or try to justify their decision of having child. But who cares ? 🤣 if you are fit financially, mentally, physically and imotionally you don't think about what people say about you.

Even if we do something good the society will always try to find faults, better start to ignore them so they don't get to decide what we do.

Childfree people are selfless.they are great .1) the world is tough and the birth of a child means struggle .2) they are saving planet from pollution.3) they are serving humanity than giving birth of their own biological child. 4)saving the world from overpopulation.

We lost our pre mature child at the month of 8...my wife face two time eclampsia serious hypertension during pregnancy... Now everyone says we should have adopt the child... But me and my wife wants to remain childfree now.. Everybody says to us who takes cares u in your old age.. It is necessary to have a child.. Sometimes their opinion give us too much tension to us... But after seeing this video and a lots of comments of people who decided to remain childfree give us hope... But a question many times come in my mind is it really compulsory to become parents if not then who will be take care of us in our old age when there is no one to ask take care of us... Could u plz explain bro....

I love this video but deeply dislike this notion that childfree people are obligated to tell people that they "don't dislike children". Many CF people do indeed like children which is fine, but many of us do not like children and we shouldn't feel compelled to pretend like we do in order to make others feel better.
Many CF people like myself would never ever harm a child but we also would never go out of our way to seek them out. I think if more people admitted that they didn't like children, there would be less unwanted, unloved, abused, neglected children in the world in the first place.

I completely agree but I think that everyone especially people who live with kids do dislike their kids at some point, I think this is very normal but most people don't abuse or harm their child if they dislike them for a short period of time for example if they are having a kids birthday party and all they can hear are kids screaming, they might get irritated and dislike kids or just the noise but overall are still happy with their choice to have the child and don't harm the kid
Omg, finally someone who speaks the truth! I've seen so many childfree people talk about how they love and like children or would rather adopt to please people who have children or want children or they want to serve or save the world. Sorry but I want freedom and serving/saving the world and having children ain't it. Fuck their feelings when they don't care how much it hurts us or angers us when we say we're not having children. I don't like children at all! I find them very annoying as hell and if that makes me a bad person then bitch I'm a bad person. When I say I'm childfree, I mean like...thank goodness for my fibroids because that's my key to a hysterectomy and I will not adopt either and I couldn't care less about people telling me I'm selfish. Well I practice self love or at least I'm trying to and real self love is selfish anyway. Selfishness should be normalized too, selfish is just a new term for people putting themselves first. Childfree to me is absolutely NO KIDS! I'm sorry to the foster children but the only ones to blame are the people who brought them in this horrible world. It is not our obligation to have kids or to ADOPT them, they are not our responsibility! Also I don't see my cat and dog as my fur babies, they are my companions not my damn furry children 🙄 and lastly dear people please stop saying that a man will never want me for being childfree. I've given up on finding love in my mid twenties I'll be 32 this year. It's my body and my choice and I'm not going to have a baby for a man when most men leave once the baby comes and they don't even help with the childcare. My body will not be used for a damn baby making factory and thanks to my fibroids I probably can't get pregnant anyway. I see my possible infertility as a blessing not a curse, even though I don't have s*x. Childfree is freedom from those little pissy, shiity, screaming brats who think the world revolves around them. My mom told us many times when my dad was at work if she could start over she would've never had any of us and the same as her mother my grandma. Many people have children and regret them but that's never a conversation. Babies grow up to work for the rich and to keep this stupid system going and that's what it's all about.

How is procreation immoral? Why are you saying people that having child is a bad decision? If people don't make new human beings by procreation, then soon in India we will have a condition like Japan where majority of population is Old.
Because our country is overpopulated and over-polluted too. Also, parenting is not for everyone which reverberates in our abysmal society where people lack even basic discipline and manners.
One day they will cry in dark room for not having a child and search for alternatives no dog cat or fish will fill your instincts/voids in you
Having kids = Crying for their education fees, if they don't get a job. Cry that they became dependent on us for their survival. How about they abandon you in their old age, I think that would be more painful. Having or not having child is a choice. I see that not having kids is in fact more advantageous than having them.

Men can become a husband and have kids too and they must provide for the family...that's not right if the man chooses not to have his life like this, any person might want to live on their own and stay single, some men want to be at home with or without a child, same goes for women
