"I was driving home (spiritedly) from the airport. I just returned from a vacation (lucky me). I didn't antagonize this person and had no interaction with them until I was brake checked. As my girlfriend (novia dice) puts it, el gente esta loco: The people are crazy. She is correct.
To me it's one thing to flash or display a weapon, pointed at the dirt.
As a former Marine GRUNT I take exception to him looking down the iron sights at me. I looked it up and this is considered assault in the court system and punishable up to 10 years. (Maryland law I believe.)
I obviously didn't want to get in a chase but hopefully get some accountability which is why I followed only for the license tag.
I don't think speeding is a sufficient reason for a civilian to pull a weapon on someone. There are few instances in which such a maneuver would be considered lawful.
What would be appropriate punishment be?

Maximum sentence allowed under the law and permanent loss of gun ownership. Brandishing a gun/weapon is illegal, even if you have a carry concealed permit.

1st clip - why the hell did cammer submit this clip? He’s gotta be doing over 100 MPH, driving like a complete maniac. He’s literally weaving in and out of traffic until he can’t anymore, so he then drives on the emergency shoulder to pass traffic (I don’t buy the BS of trying to get away from the other driver). What a reckless maniac! The guy that pulled a gun belongs in jail, along with you right there in the exact same jail cell with him. Show the police your dashcam footage - you’ll be cited for multiple traffic infractions, most serious would be reckless driving. You can clearly see the lane lines on Google maps. I can understand why she thought she was right, but I'm sure the cops told her, if she showed the video, how wrong she was.

So it’s gotten to the point now that trucks pretty much have to just force their way into things because about 3 miles of cars doing 30+ over the speed limit aren’t going to make way.

This moron speeding through what is known as an industrial park. Speeds are usually at most 35. Needs to slow the roll of that Altima on his way to his packing job. First clip- i would imagine the pickup truck took issue with the fact that the cammer was driving like an absolute dbag, without regard for anyone else on the road. Obviously the pickup truck driver was also not a stable person since he decided to show his discontent by flashing a gun. funny thing is I clipped out the fact that they changed their mind several times. had left blinker on then switched to right, then back to left to turn it off and then just bail into the turn. I was sitting behind them saying, "don't do it, you cannot see"

Some driving truths:
At multi-lane turns, always assume the car next to you doesn't know how they work and will want to be in your lane.
At traffic circles, always assume nobody knows how they're supposed to work.
At intersections, always assume the other drivers are oblivious to stop signs and/or stop lights.
Always assume that aggressive/reckless drivers are looking for a confrontation - don't give them the satisfaction and keep as much space between you and them.

The car in the left lane was following behind a truck at a safe distance. The car was not “camping,” just driving. The Honda and the cammer have no business in the road with their own poor driving.

A Pennsylvania driver doesn’t need eye tests, they drive blind all the time. Virginia drivers are terrified of police and go too slow. A New Yorker will just get ahead of you when they get the chance. Massive difference.

#12 I would like to see the front cam. It looks to me like you all turned in front of traffic that had the solid green. Maybe cammer turned on yellow or red, and idiot SUV followed. The rear cam clearly shows oncoming traffic had the green.
Given that the other light was green for oncoming traffic, at best the cammer was supposed to yield and didn't. At worst he went through a red arrow. Wrong either way

#9 is a good example of why honking isn’t necessary because the other driver actually stopped which is more dangerous. All the cammer had to do was take their foot of the gas for a few seconds. So what if you think you’re “in the right”. In the grand scheme of life it doesn’t hold water!
Thank you. I was going to say basically this. Stopping when hearing a honk isn't a stupid reaction; the point of honking is to get someone to stop doing what they're doing because it's about to cause an accident. (I know a lot of people use it because they can't muster the energy to lift a middle finger, but that's not the intent of it.)

To me when they stop it is more of an indication that they honestly did not see you and hearing a horn means "Shit who am I about to cut off"...
Of course it is still sad how many are unaware of their surroundings while 'brandishing' a lethal weapon

Obviously the guy braked and honked simultaneously. He even avoided crashing into the moron who stopped for no reason while hearing a horn (after said moron failed yield to traffic in the roundabout).
As a truck driver, I have to deal with idiots that drive recklessly and inconsiderately every day all day. It made me road rage and disregard just about everybody else on the road, and I've almost seriously ruined my life doing it. I've since learned to just ignore it all let the mayhem unfold. There's nothing you can do about it.
18. I've learned to wait to pass cross traffic before changing lanes just in case they pull out expecting you to stay in the middle lane. Other driver still should've stopped though
