I've been playing keyboards for years now, but trying the seaboard it felt like I never played before, playing wrong notes I would never do on a "regular" keyboard. But I know, once I get enough practice with it, I will never want to part with it. Amazing instrument!
Roli Seaboard due to It’s keywaves, It’s more useful por other kind of sounds more expressives than a piano sound If you want really cool pianos, checkout Native Instruments and Kontakt and of course, use an 88 weighted hammer piano keys for a better response and for the best piano acoustic feel

Just trying to find a super realistic piano sound that can be loaded into the seaboard. Btw do you know if the swam can be loaded into the Seaboard independently or need a laptop everytime to play those sounds?

I have been following roli for ages now and I started getting into music cause of you guys and I am now officially saving for a seaboard and it would be awesome if you could give me one, I would be happy to do anything.

And I just found out that with usb condenser mic and garageband I can do wonders on Mac by recording and combining instruments in layers, instead of practising each instrument individualy. I also wanted to learn Mongolian violin, and now THIS. This thing just... I mean it s OP. Never was interested in keyboard exactly cuz of its flat dynamics (can't bend). But this thing can play any instrument on Earth. Maaaan.. Though I guess it kills some of the adventure of dealing with a totally alien to you instrument. Though it will save YEARS of practise. On this thing one able of playing keys, can pick up open whistle flute or violin or steel string guitar and just rock straight out of the box. And no need of keeping all those real instruments.. Wow. A bit crazy to think about. Kinda heresy. Hmm... I feel the calling... Haha))
Except you can’t really do realistic violin or other bowed instruments on any keyboard, but, generally, yes, you can get a lot of expression without having to learn to play a new instrument. Playing with expressive controllers is still something that requires practice, but it’s a lot less than for learning a bunch of acoustic instruments that’s you’d never be able to dedicate enough time for to truly master.
so how do i activate the 5d, i want to find out how to teleport the sound waves through dimensional travel to a random person and start playing the elder scrolls songs as if they were on an adventure and start randomly playing suspenseful music
If I sample the audio from this video from 0:45 - 1:12 will I get in trouble? Wanting to make a beat with that sample BAD, non profit for personal pleasure @roli

I can't remember the one in Tron, but the arpeggio in Stranger Things is CMaj7 and this is AmM7 so it's not just transposed but an entirely different chord

If ROLI really wants to sell these potentially promising devices, the least they could do is get someone who is actually musical to play them, and pick some sounds that aren't cliched repeats of cliched ghastly synth sounds that you could get on a cheap Casio or similar. These machines require decent sounds or samples and need to be played musically and with some sensitivity.

Yes it definitely takes time to get the hang of it you have to be fairly accurate with your finger placement as well.
