Then they get mad when they chose the trait that best defines them as a person and be given their actual house in lore. Like being so proud of "ride or die loyalty" until it puts you in Hufflepuff, even though thats what DEFINES A HUFFLEPUFF. It's just so lame. Like do you wanna be in the actual house you would've gotten or do you wanna feel like a tool? Defeats the whole purpose of the house sorting.

I never understood why people think hufflepuffs are lame when out of everyone in hogwarts, the guy that was deemed as the best to represent the entire school in the tri-wizard tournament was a hufflepuff
Hufflepuffs get a bed rep because they don't boast about their accomplishments, and their values tend to be seen as 'carebear' to other, more ambitious students. There's no loud and boisterous personalities within Hufflepuff that steal the spotlight from others. There's nothing wrong with being loyal, compassionate, fair, humble, and hard-working.
I don't understand how anyone was surprised. There were two questions which were so obvious in which way the answers were going to go, and the second one rendered the first one pretty pointless anyway. The only way they could have made it more obvious is if they just had you pick from the four house options.
@@lovlol413it does if you link your account. Instead of asking the nonrelevant question and then the house question it just goes right to the house you got from Pottermore.

I think most people who play the game probably wouldn't be massive fans to that extent. Like, they might be familiar with the names of the houses from the books/movies, but not really remember the characteristics of each one.
"Everyone wants a Hufflepuff in their lives but no one wants to be a Hufflepuff." This is a line I heard in a video that breaks down Hufflepuffs and their values. Hufflepuffs can have traits that would qualify them for any House but their loyalty outshines them all. They're the friend who will stick with you through the toughest of times, the one who will be there when you need a shoulder to cry on but when you ask how they're doing they just reply with "I'm fine" and carry on. The video also touched on a scene from the books that really highlighted how strong the Hufflepuffs are and how people underestimate them. Just before the Battle of Hogwarts, the teachers were going to evacuate all the students until a Hufflepuff stood up and voiced a desire to fight as well. Students were then given a choice to fight or flee. Naturally, almost all the Gryffindors stayed and all the Slytherins fled. A handful of Ravenclaws stayed but nearly all of the Hufflepuffs remained to fight, the only House to rival Gryffindor in terms of numbers. The qualities that make you a Hufflepuff are much harder to bear than you'd think which makes them a very strong but frequently underestimated House.
This is basically "tell me you aren't familiar with the franchise without telling me", anyone who paid even a little bit attention to either the books or movies would know what house corresponds to what word.
How many times in the movies have they actually explained the traits of each house? And within those movies how long was it since they came out? You're seriously going to knock people for not remembering one or two lines in an 8 movie series in the 7 book series? Lol
@@dawnriddler we're talking about this scene specifically which only takes place one time in the first movie. I have heard that Hufflepuff is supposed to be for good friends and hard workers. If that is the case, they should have plenty of stand out students. I don't think their bad reputation is deserved.
Hufflepuff is the house of the loyal, just and kind. It only has a bad reputation because Hufflepuffs value humility. So, no wonder a bunch of streamers would look down on it.
The bad reputation comes from them also accepting just anyone who doesn't fit in the other 3 too, like one of the things Helga Hufflepuff said was "i'll take the rest" so in-universe they view it as the house of the leftovers who the other 3 houses didn't want.
Wasn't hufflepuff the only house where EVERY student stayed behind with harry in the final battle of hogwarts against voldemort? Yeah those guys are pretty gangster 😤
They seriously couldn't have done a more fleshed out sorting process? It asks you 2 questions, 1 of which is the most obviously determining. There's a dozen sorting house quizzes online, 1 official even on Pottermore and this is the best they could have done for the sorting process?
Its so that the seven year olds that play the game dont hurl their controller across the room when they get a house they didnt want, which is the average demographic of the game.
@@arcanefire75117 years old is absolutely not the target demographic for this game. It’s why the sorting hat even says “you’re a bit older than others” as one of the first things lol

@codyyh9421 20 would probably just piss off the average gamer who bought the game just because it's Harry Potter. 5 or 10 questions would have been enough in my opinion.
The Hufflepuff slander is so sad :( I'm a Ravenclaw personally, but the odd time I would get Hufflepuff on Quizes. Hufflepuffs are usually the most genuine and down to earth people.
How can you think you belong to a house and know absolutely nothing about it? Wtf... The answer for each house was blatantly obvious. Loyalty is literally what Hufflepuff is all about. How you going to pick that and think you are a Slytherin? The house that is literally about power and ones own ambition.
They might be someone just getting into Harry Potter and not knowing much about it, like the guy who said he liked green, but you can't be complaining about getting Hufflepuff and that "it's for pussies" if you know what the other houses are about, like come on.
This happens when you don't link your accounts into the game where you can literally test yourself with an in-depth quiz for house, wand and even patronus. If you do those tests, the game will automaticall choose your house and wand for you according to those tests
@@Lila_Moon wand quiz isn't for the looks. It is to discover the wood type, length, core and flexibility of your wand. Those things tell you about the wizard's personality. Looks just tells you their style preferences.
I am a slytherin and I think hufflepuff is actually a pretty solid house. It's just that most of them are calm as a person, never holding a grudge or hating a person unless there is a solid reason for it, they are just chilling lmao. They value friendship and being kind to others. It just that it comes off as lame to some people. I'd blame JK rowling for this because she never actually gave a damn about any house except for gryffindor and I think hufflepuff is affected by this the most because it receives the least attention among all 4.
Agreed. And despite this, Newt Scamander is the main character of the Fantastic Beasts Trilogy and has a quite amazing aptitude for magic usage, and he didn't even get to graduate Hogwarts due to some... personal matters eh? But he rose to the challenges anyway. And whaddya know... he was a Hufflepuff. He also REALLY likes to apparate a lot. XD
I like how all the streamers made themselves basically and get offended at their house but Charlie makes James Corden and gets offended at getting the "good" house for him
I don’t understand what was so shocking to people😂 Gryffindors are known for being daring. Ravenclaws are known for their curiosity. Hufflepuffs are known for their Loyalty. Slytherins are known for their ambition. It basically asks “Which house do you want?” And y’all were surprised when it gave you exactly what you asked for😂
Most of these people didn't read the books, they watched the movies. In the movies, you only see one Hufflepuff, and he is known for twilight. People hate twilight, they hate the Cedric movie version, and so they hate hufflepuff. I do find it absolutely hilarious that Asmongold chose loyalty, because, "straight gangsta shit", and "that's right, ride or die.", but then goes crazy when they put him in the house known for loyalty and friendship. LMAO
I was surprised it was only one question (the first question doesn't do anything). But loyalty is such an in your face Hufflepuff answer when you can see the other choices. I did the online quiz way and got Gryffindor
I wasn't surprised I got Slytherin when I went through the trouble of making a Pottermore account. What did surprise me was my patronus was a kind of bird.
I'll be one of the few people to willingly follow someone into Hufflepuff. My attraction to this individual in Hufflepuff knows no bounds. But I will say I wasn't surprised I was a Slytherin in the slightest when I took that Pottermore quiz.
Man this was basically telling us(real fans) that these streamers do not know anything about the houses traits and they are pissed that their own traits matches those of a house that they do not like and that is very telling. -Gryffindor's trait is bravery -Slytherin's trait is ambition -Hufflepuff's trait is loyalty -Ravenclaw's trait is intellect These are very simple things within the lore that anyone who is a true HP fan knows by just reading the books or watching the films and it would seem no one out of these streamers payed attention to that very simple fact. XQC is a Slytherin through and through.
They are not real Harry Potter fans. Most Potter fans know that Hufflepuff is a really sweet kind-hearted House. I do see myself as a Slytherpuff but I know, that you can't really be in two houses in Canon even though, I really wish you could.
@@Whocares158 You do now that you can replay the game and you can choose a different house. So you can make a character that is a Slytherin and then make a different character who would be a Hufflepuff. Just make up the personalities and different names etc etc and then boom.
I did that. 😊🩷🩵 My character is in both houses of Slytherin and Hufflepuff. In my own Canon he is sorted into Slytherin as he is pure blooded Slytherin that's his main house.
Literally those are the key stereo typed traits of the houses. If you dont even know those... if you can't tell that courage=gryffindor, ambition=slytherin, etc then you clearly don't know enough about the houses to even disagree with them. Also the amount of Hufflepuff hate is pathetic and overplayed. We're the house of justice, hard work, and loyalty. The house of the true hogwarts champion Cedric diggory and the renowned Newt Scamander.
As a slytherin, i think hufflepuffs are the best type of friends you can have. Whats more entertaining is that watching some of the streamers not get or not choose Hufflepuff will never get to visit Azkaban, since being in that house is the only one that takes you there on a quest.
The questions easily lead to what House you want. Being a Gryffindor's about Bravery (Daring), Hufflepuff is Loyalty, Ravenclaw is the pursuit of knowledge (Curiosity). I don't know how they missed all the cues. 😆
Here I am, deliberately having chosen Hufflepuff. I'd even say that it's the best house story-wise because you are somewhat set to being the Good Guy and most dialogues felt really fitting as a Hufflepuff.
the only thing counts is the 2nd question. Daring - gryffindor Curiousity - ravenclaw Loyalty - hufflepuff Ambition - slytherin And if you think it has strong impact on your gameplay, such as picking ravenclaw to get more difficult puzzles, or picking gryffindor to get difficult quests, and such, prepare to be dissapointed. The only differences are just how the story played. that's it. Even thought at one point you get different quests from the other house, it does nothing other than just different story. It's a game focused towards harry potter fans. not gamers. And should be treated as such.
It's not a personality test. It's two questions. The cool tests were on the website. I got Slytherin and while I was annoyed that I basically got the "racist" house. Cunning and Ambition are by themselves not negative qualities and I'm sorry the troll question is just a trap for DnD players.
@Onthebrink5 Memes aren't to seek attention, they are just a format to share opinions. In this case, they were just pointing out how stupid they thought it was that somebody would want help picking between four things, despite already knowing which of the four things they wanted. IDK why people are complaining on why it's not more "fleshed out," they literally told you to link your Pottermore account for exclusive shit and because the online quiz is much more detailed than the game. Of course they're not gonna wanna focus on that too long, they wanna get right to classes and gameplay and shit. It's *_why_* they have Pottermore. Also, damn, the Hufflepuff hate is kinda sad, especially considering we got the best house quest lmao Edit: Also, they probably don't want as long a quiz on the game because they literally let you choose your own house anyway, even if you have your Pottermore account linked. Probably don't want you to have to go through a long quiz process if you already played Hufflepuff and wanna play Ravenclaw already, or for you to rage even more about going through as long a quiz just to get a house you didn't want.
Why are people upset about the questions are not complicated in the comments? The game basically lets you pick your own house. Those streamers obviously never read a book in their entire life.

Hufflepuff sounds sorta feminine (not that that’s a bad thing). I just think when a lot of guys hear “hufflepuff” they think the opposite of masculine.
Most people, men especially, lack a real sense of self-awareness and humility. Watch any two guys get into a heated disagreement. Neither will concede that the other might have a good point, and both will think they can kick the other's ass if it came to it. I almost wish the game didn't have the option to let you choose which house you would like - like, your choices permanently set you on the path of being a Hufflepuff, or a Slytherin, or a Gryffindor or a Ravenclaw. If you didn't like what you got, then you are forced to start from scratch again and choose your answers wisely next time.
It asks you ONE question that is literally just each house described in another word. 'Daring, ambition, loyalty or creativity' is just gryffindor, slytherin, hufflepuff and ravenclaw. Also, anyone who didn't figure that out, has NO business picking Ravenclaw as their house. There was no real sorting in this, it was just 'which house do you wanna be in' and that's probably for the best in a game like this.
I really don't understand all the Hufflepuff hate, I feel like Hufflepuff has the best values and traits over every other house, yea Hufflepuff isn't talked about a whole lot in the books or movies and the house has a funny name but Hufflepuff is probably the best house you could be put in tbh, we all need Hufflepuff friends.
I am not sure how all these works across platforms. On console I had to go online and do that quiz, then the sorting put me immediately into the house i got from the online quiz. My friends plays on PC he had no idea there was an online quiz on a website. Asmongold clearly mentions he did an online quiz but he also did the in game quiz? Can someone explain
you didn't *have* to do an onine quiz for this game on console lol. it was optional to link your wizarding world account with the game so your house would be predetermined and give you the house fanatic robes. the footage from asmongold was during early access, when most players were having trouble linking their wizarding world account bc of the traffic on the site, so he had to take the quiz (if you call 2 questions a quiz lol) in the game
As a Ravenclaw, I think the badger is the least coolest mascot and the name is kind of lame. That being said, there have been kind and great Hufflepuffs like Cedric Diggory and Newt Scamander.

The online quiz didnt transfer over to the game too. 2 questions to decide your house is sorta lame
@@lovlol413it does if you link your account. Instead of asking the nonrelevant question and then the house question it just goes right to the house you got from Pottermore.
@@lovlol413 I agree that there should be more questions but if you want a better quiz, just take the online one and it will transfer what you got there to the game during the sorting ceremony
I was gonna say, anyone who knows the houses should be able to choose pretty easily without much thought.

Hufflepuff is the house of the loyal, just and kind. It only has a bad reputation because Hufflepuffs value humility. So, no wonder a bunch of streamers would look down on it.
it is generally viewed as the loser house, both in universe and out.
The bad reputation comes from them also accepting just anyone who doesn't fit in the other 3 too, like one of the things Helga Hufflepuff said was "i'll take the rest" so in-universe they view it as the house of the leftovers who the other 3 houses didn't want.

the only thing counts is the 2nd question.
Daring - gryffindor
Curiousity - ravenclaw
Loyalty - hufflepuff
Ambition - slytherin
And if you think it has strong impact on your gameplay, such as picking ravenclaw to get more difficult puzzles, or picking gryffindor to get difficult quests, and such, prepare to be dissapointed. Morons don't know the lore and complain about it.
Daring - gryffindor
Curiosity - ravenclaw
Loyalty - hufflepuff
Ambition - slytherin
It's literally asking "hey which house do you want?"
Saying hufflepuff is for girls is one of the most obvious toxic masculinity line I have ever heard
I don't believe you can have toxic masculinity when you look like hobo-jesus
James corden in griffindoor kinda makes sense actually, remember that worm tail the traitor (in a house for loyalty and bravery lol 😂) was also in griffindoor so it CAN happen with people like him
Well it would be unrealistic, if it ask you a lot of questions. Usually it would only take a few seconds or a minute for the sorting hat to sort a student.
Wrong, sometimes the sorting hat takes a long time when hatstalling. The sorting hat could have been better.
I love how they get mad at being a hufflepuff as if they didn’t choose it in a very basic set of answers
@3:26 I took the quiz and both the hat and the quiz said I’m a Ravenclaw. I don’t even know what these factions are, but I love the ravenclaw emblem
the fact that they don't know which trait belongs to what house is just embarrassing in itself
They are not true Harry Potter fans.
I really expected a full personality quiz to come up during the sorting and not just 2 questions, one with clear sign of what goes to what.
"Ravenclaw is for nerd"
Me: *realized I'm actually quite a nerd in real life, getting Ravenclaw*
"This further more proves I am indeed a NERD"
Knowledge is power Geeks and Nerds are in am a Geek a collector Just because your a Nerd does not mean you can't be a badass cool Nerd.
Where is angry Joe's playthrough. I can't find it on his channel
Sadly Hufflepuff doesn't get much love outside our beautiful fandom.
As a Slytherin.
🐍💚🤍🖤
XQC definitely goes to Slytherin
As a Ravenclaw, we don't accept Hufflepuff slanderers into our house, homie's attitude is Gryffindor for sure.
As a Ravenclaw, I think the badger is the least coolest mascot and the name is kind of lame. That being said, there have been kind and great Hufflepuffs like Cedric Diggory and Newt Scamander.
xQc is definitely Slytherin.
I always thought hufflepuff was the house with the Most chill guys and would probably be the space where you‘d have the people growing and Smoking the Devils lettuce
"...and Hufflepuff is for girls." CANCELLED!!!!
"Slytherin is for edgy boys" 100% agree to that
@@shidoitsuka3072 Edgy girl in Slytherin here. Though my favourite character Newt is in Hufflepuff.
@@shidoitsuka3072So Perfect for Asmongold
"pink is for girls, blue is for boys" 💀💀
I would have put Corden in Slytherin, he may be terrible at everything he does but he he has ambition
I legit don't understand the Hufflepuff hate
3:25 he does know you can connect your account and all your choices on the website will go to the game right? I got ravenclaw, got my wand and even unique clothes from it and I happily did it. I was satisfied with my house and its nice to have a wand that's my own and actually have myself exist in the world of harry potter. Like the site said you can tell your story in this game. I like games that let me go my own path. Its why I loved skyrim so much. I love immersion
Hufflepuff is for hard workers, loyal friends, and humble individuals who show who their competency by what they do, not how they boast. Hufflepuffs are awesome.
Also I really wish you were "forced" into a house after answering several questions. A few random questions that come from a much larger set of questions (meaning that to see the same question again you would need to restart the scene several times). The fact that you can just choose after you dont like the decision from 1 question definitley isn't fun!
Yeah, I wish your first playthrough forced you into the house you were sorted to.
It is sort of lore accurate though. The hat takes into account the wishes of the user
