Just finished my King 95 PRO build and I stayed with the all glass look. Ryzen 9 7900 with a Noctua NH-D15 air cooler...no problems. Go ahead and hook the Montech rgb controller to your motherboard for the most options concerning rgb lighting.
I finished my build yesterday in the Pro version. I wanted to use the mesh front, so I bought two standard fans. I'm left with a pair of reverse fans, but I'll tuck them away with the glass front in case I change my mind later. This is a great case in terms of quality, build experience, and flexibility.
Thank you, Danny. I bought two of Montech's AX 140's 'just in case' I decide to go with the mesh front panel, but it looks like I'll be keeping the glass front panel and using a DeepCool LT720 (after swapping the -founds- fans with Montech AX 120's) for cooling. Travel safely and be well in 2024. 👍🏻 EDIT: Typo Management
Im planning to do the same, buy the pro version using the default layout. Buy the Deepcool lt720, i might add 3 more montech ax120🙂 for the aio, to complete the visuals of it.
I bought the Fractal Meshify 2C in 2023 after I had a great run with another brand with a glass front. It brought my temperatures down at least 5 degrees on idle, but over 15 degrees under load. A meshed case my not look as "sexy", but protecting my investment has a higher priority.
Great looking case from Montech. I just finished a Glass build in Gentleman Black and find the experience and looks striking. Thanks Danny for the duel version build review.
Want mesh front? The swinging fan bracket comes apart. BEFORE you install innards, flip the bracket 180 degrees vertically. Now you have the ARGB lighting the interior of the case and fans drawing air into the case. Cheaper than spending $30+ for new AX140 fans and you're not wasting the 2 RX140 fans that come with the case. You could mount them on hinged rear panel as intakes. Gotta have ARGB thru the mesh? Do a push/pull after flipping bracket.
I cant recall if you mentioned it in the intial review. But when you flip the tray to use front cooling, you probably need reversed or flipped fans as vs the side inlet. Is that correct?
Happy to see there’s no big difference in temperature. I want to go with the standard glass panels. Building a 14900k with the Galahad 2 Trinity and a 4090. Can’t wait to see this beauty.
Don't you think this case might be too hot with a 14900K? I saw some other reviews and CPU temperatures are barely acceptable and the 14900K is already hot as hell. @@DannysTechChannel
I wouldn’t choose intel right now myself. Their temps and prices are too high for me. I haven’t tested any other components in the King 95 so I can’t say how the case would handle something hotter.
Great Video, liked and subbed! My King 95 pro just arrived today, I also picked 3 120mm RX montech for the top and 2 120mm AX fans for my Rog Ryujin III aio; which I will mount on the back wall. cant wait to start it!
@@DannysTechChannel I was planning on the top and bottom pulling in air and my 240 aio mounted to the side bracket and rear fans as exhaust, wouldnt that work?
That’s not how convection works. Hot air wants to rise. You’d have better airflow intake from the motherboard wall and the bottom then exhaust from the top
@@DannysTechChannel thanks once again for taking the time to reply, I was going for looks instead of concentrating on performance! I was kinda hoping that because im only running an i7 13700k I could make it work.
Was the fans on top reverse 120mm fans or just regular fans? I’m asking cause I’m going to out the regular montech fans on my h150i cooler from Corsair. Thanks
I just got my King95 case, going to move all the parts from my Skytech computer to it also have some 140mm Thermaltake fans. I was going to go air flow now thinking not due to your temp findings. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danny!!! You should also do a video on how to build a pc step by step. Everyone shows the basic stuff, but I want to see where all the wires plug in on the motherboard. Those front headers with their 4000 plugs are always intimidating to me 😢
For the NON pro version without rgb hub. If my motherboard only has 3 5V ARGB headers (3A max), will i be able to connect 10 argb fans (9 case fans and 1 cpu cooler fans) AND the front panel light strip? Thermalright argb fans btw.
Great video - curious - what if you went kept the water-cooled AIO and still switched to the mesh front. Would you expect better performance over both of your previous options? This was the option I was exploring with this case.
I guess I don’t get the test. You’ve changed from water to air cool and configured the case for airflow. Making 2 changes at once doesn’t allow one to see what change made the difference or the biggest difference. Also why didn’t you reinstall the side fans once you installed the AX140’s in the front? Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the video or you answered previously.
I really wanted to see how difficult the process was and how much the difference was building an airflow focused setup with a CPU tower cooler and the mesh front panel against a liquid cooled and aesthetic designed layout. It wasn’t a control type test. Also, putting the fans on the side in addition to the front mesh would not have been an ideal airflow layout. It most likely would have created turbulence from the front and side intakes.
@@DannysTechChannel Sounds good. Wasn’t trying to critique your work. I guess my background has burned into me that you never make more than one change at a time. I received the case today and your turbulence comment now concerns me a bit as I purchased 2 more AX140’s to install if I go with the mesh later. Gonna start without and see how it goes using the NZXT Kraken Elite (360). I appreciate your response. Thanks!

Great video watched both this one and the initial review video and they are both very detailed. This video has sold me on buying the Montech 95 King Pro. Seems like the best bang for buck. But I'm still unsure of what configuration I need to use if I'm installing an air cooler. I'm planning to use the following for my build. Does using this air cooler mean I can't use full glass mode and will need to install the mesh front and adjust the configuration of the fans? Potential build • PowerColor RX 7800XT • Ryzen 5 7600X • DeepCool AK500 Digital
No, you could still use full glass mode. I just used an air cooler to match the mesh front panel. Any combination could be used. You can run an air cooler in full glass mode or a liquid cooler in mesh mode. Great build choice BTW
@@DannysTechChannel Thanks so much for the response and sharing your expertise Danny. Thats great to hear that I can still use the full glass mode with my spec as its one the features that drew me to this case. Would you suggest purchasing any additional montech fans as I could put some 120's at the top since I'm not using a liquid cooler or would the 6 fans and air cooler be sufficient?. I only ask as its cheaper to make them up at the same time as the case.
Thanks for clarifying in that case, I would rather put the extra cash towards a decent motherboard or just something that will impact the performance. Thanks again @@DannysTechChannel
I just finished a build in a red king 95 pro, slapped 3x120's on the top as well, 7500f, assasin 120 evo cooler and a 7900 xtx red devil for running games in 4k - its just beautiful to look at 🥰 But I bought the case used and the fan hub is not connected properly, so all 9 fans are running at 100% all the time... its a little loud 🫠
in other video you said the cable management door can hold 2 fans. so if i was to with putting side fan bracket to front should the fans on cable management door be intake or out? also what would you recommend for gpu sag?
I wouldn’t run fans on the cable management door. It counteracts the intake fans you just added to the front. A GPU sag bracket is always great. I don’t have any recommended ones to give you
I know really nothing about custom builds nor about fans. But i wonder, how can 8 inward fams and just 1 oit fan make a difference. I mean they all have the same rpm, why arent there more fans pushing air out then? I would actually think thay same in and same out would generate better airflows, why isnt that done?
