It's sort of like Batman Beyond....Tron is older and weakened from almost being derezzed and he finds this program named "Beck" who decapitated and blew up a statue of CLU while posing as Tron...then the real Tron finds him and decides to train him to become "The Next Tron"...this show is actually really good. It's like Star Wars and Batman Beyond in a the Tron type of setting. Unfortunately Disney has no interest in renewing the show which is a shame because it's the best they had in awhile.
6 years later and they’re still bringing out trash, nah TRON uprising was amazing, so was legacy and the first one. Disney used to be about the story, the music the theme the thrill. Now all they care about is money, I wish Walt and Roy Disney were still alive 😤😩
This dude’s voice sounds so awesome i just wanna listen to him reading or something. It really throws me off that in the second season tron would’ve dawned the black suit and become rinzler yet didn’t. It was perfectly set up for him to be rinzler and it ends then nope he is healed and he is healed. Like WHAT!?!?!
Tron in this show is very wise and very cool. It's a kind of side you haven't really seen from him. I'm enjoying the show very much, and I don't believe I could have imagined a better entry into the series when it comes to something like this.
No word on season 2 since like february, apparently not even a dvd/bluray release of the first season, I had to buy the soundtrack as a means to throw some money at this series. Goddamn I want to know what happens to these characters, they left so much shit unresolved.
This is the only show on tv i look forward to watch every single week. I buy each episodes as they premiere. Everyone i know that is a fan of this shows absolutely loves it
Definitely. I'm thinking more from the point that hardly any kids know the tron story. Maybe they've seen Legacy but I would definitely doubt they've seen the original, so of course there are some important references that might be missing, but yes I do think that it's mostly written in a way that they can get most of the basic story, but the little things like how dynamic of a character Paige is, and never being able to nail down Pavel's shifting motives are really what make the story shine.

My son is 10 years old and he gets it perfectly well. I agree it isn't The Smurfs or Bug Bunny, but kids today are smart and exposed to more complex concepts than when I was a kid 30 years ago. I do worry about the violence, anger, and evil characters that are presented. It scares my daughter who is 8. I dont think its for ALL kids so maybe I'm agreeing with you more than otherwise. The artwork is fantastic and if the stories were a little more complex it could be a great young adult show.
Disney killed the franchise. they should of and stay when tron uprising was first on Disney channel then they started not air it until 3 weeks later and put it to Disney xd where you have to get a premium to watch Disney XD. They also did a dumb idea by putting it to midnight. It’s like they wanted uprising to fail.

I really liked the animated series better than I thought I would. Can't wait till season 2.
