If I'm not wrong, this song is about chester's childhood of being abused by an older male friend. The trauma of it almost always leads to extreme distrust of everybody else. As stated in the lyrics, he had all sorts of heavy thoughts pulsing their way out of him uncontrollably as he was trying not to break from under it, and all the while still trying to trust this person abusing him. It's sad. One of the most memorable song across all their albums for me.

A BIT OLDER friend. At the time it's happens, this "friend" was also a teen.
Somebody messed info up and result is everybody who not know the facts - picturized it like it was adult men=pedophile who abused young Chester .

This and QWERTY are my 2 favorite LP songs, they perfectly show what LP can do, Mike's rapping, even if its lighter in From The Inside, Chester's range, and how clean/powerful his voice could be, plus I've always used this as my breakup song 😄

I think you're quite spot on about Meteora as an album. When you put it on start to finish, it really feels like a cohesive unit. It's one of those albums, I think, where if you're in a specific mood, you put on Meteora, you don't need to pick and chose songs for a playlist.
From The Inside really stands out to me for the contrast in Chester's vocals, that serve the build of the song so well, and the intensity of the emotion. Chester and Mike's back-and-forth flow work really well too here.
Fantastic video as well, I think the story goes that they got banned from the city for a while for the mess it made/not having proper permits for the extend of it, something like that 😂
