- The folks over at @AKInteractiveOfficial kindly got in touch and sent me some of their brand new WW2 wargames figures and paint set to take a look at. Its been a while since i've done anything for WW2 so join me with a brew as i take a look at these new miniatures, how they build up, scale with other lines and most importantly - how they paint up.

Had a smile at the start of the video because a Max Bygraves song started running through my head.
Hope you don't mind.
A great review though, I do enjoy your presentation style.
The figures look super, both in themselves and painted up.
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it, I've been playing about with the way I do these sorts of videos and I'm pleased you enjoyed it 👍
Very interesting sculpts, the box they come in is a great idea, and I definitely need to check out the regular paint range sometime.
You should they are nice to use 👍 the box is ace and the sculpts are alot of fun to work on 😁
It’d be great to see some 02 Hundred Hours content. I bought the starter set but never got into it. A video might be inspiration I need to get cracking!
Thanks for the video. It’s nice to see some of the other WW2 figures out there
Glad you liked the video.
I have done a few videos on 0200 Inc 2 battle reports if that helps, I have a playlist for them 👍 may be able to fit a game in soon and get these chaps on the table
Superb review, many thanks 👍
Glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍
Really nice them , they even look good with just an undercoat ))
Agreed 😁
I like the little screaming eagle badges; normally I skip adding specific unit patches but having them molded in makes it worth the attempt. They look perfect for a small skirmish like 0200, Operation Squad.
Absolutely, if it hadn't been there I probably wouldn't have attempted it 😅
They look great, characterful and beautiful minis...Impressive details and paint job!
Thanks very much, have to agree they are lovely sculpts 👍
Great reviews and miniatures. Also Yarkshire Ken would be proud 😂
Needs a teapot though.
@@pauljeffrey1181😅
You covinced me to pick up the paint set pretty quickly not so keen on the minis but I appreciate the effort in the product itself and got a Boltaction USA airborne starter army to go with.
Awesome, cheers mate 😁
Looking forward to seeing them in a 0200 batrep.
I have a plan for a scenario to use them in 👍
Wow thay look great done a brilliant job on them and I have different sizes with my plans Indians as you say on the table you can't see the difference 😊😊🤠🤠🤠
Thanks very much, 3ft rule is always a good yard stick 👍
Great looking minis, I like the idea of these types of sets for projects, especially new ones.Looking forward to seeing the rest of the models :)
Thanks mate, it's nice when one set like this can completely cover all the needs for a game 👍
Nice review, Martin and great work on the paint scheme 👍
Thanks mate, I'm pleased with how they came out 👍
Hope these come to Australia. Keen to have historical WW2 models that have are of a similar proportions to Wargames Atlantic. They’re just easier to paint without leaning into the more cartoony aspects of fantasy and 40k.
Hi there, i'm sure they will, they have loads of character and are great fun to paint :)
@@7thson726 Thank you :)
Great review Martin, really well painted aswell 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it 👍
And for a moment I thought You were starting Bolt Action 😜😂🤪🤷🏻♂️
😅 haha nooo, not yet, well, I've already got a BA army but I have been tempted by doing a Finnish force a few times. Then I remember the medieval period is there 😁
@@7thson726 Finnish are great, definitely a worthwhile army! I did the Continuation war Finnish army, they play very well.
@@theministryofminiatures see, now I'm googling 😅 I do have alot of AK snow to use 😁
Can't say I care for the sculpts, far too cartoonish for me, but different strokes for different folks and all that. They certainly paint up really nicely, you did a fine job with them, and I'm sure they will be great for something like 0200 Hours.
I understand that 👍, it's strange though isn't it, for historicals a more stylised or cartoonist look can put someone off however whack some power armour on it or a huge sword and we're fine with it 🤔 just an interesting talking point. You see I'm sort of the opposite, I've done so many WW2 figures at various scales that I'm sort of over the norm and really enjoyed the different feel these gave, very Todd McFarlane.
Glad you like the paint jobs, i was sort of going in blind just using the box art 😁
@@7thson726 You're right, I think because you expect more crazy stuff from science fiction. I don't want an average looking Judge Dredd. But for WW2, at least for me, what made those guys heroic wasn't that they were chonkier or looked like something off the pages of a comic book, it was that they were just normal guys from the block, like the guy who bagged your groceries at the supermarket, and they did things like storm across the Waal River under heavy fire in canvas boats. I would definitely use those models for 0200 Hours though as I think you wants something more over the top and cinematic for that.
Are these for a game that’s coming out? Or just to sell some minis with their paints?
As far as I'm aware they don't have a game in the works, these are just their own range of models. Germans are on the way soon as well 👍
@@7thson726 sweet! And thank you for the reply! Great painting!
