Hello, I’m not sure what an OND and HND are but u can always email the universities for clarification. That being said to get into the accelerated program u have to complete at least 2 years of an undergraduate degree. 2 years is the minimum so it’s ok if u haven’t or didn’t finish the entire 4 year program.
I’m not sure I understand your question quite well but I’ll try my best to answer. If u are asking if taking course A is more expensive than taking course B, I have no idea. However, the more courses you take the more money u pay. That’s usually how it is for all universities. You can check their website for more details on the tuition costs. If u have more specific questions about any schools tuition and tuition process then reach out to their financial office. Their contact can be found on the school’s website. Hope this helps.
Hi, thanks for this info. Please for someone that has Bsc (Biochemistry) and RN, is there a program that can a allow me do MSC nursing in Canada to become. Registered nurse at the end.
Hello, one does not necessarily need a masters degree to become an RN in Canada. If you have a Bachelors of Nursing degree from a different country u can apply to come to Canada. It’s a long process and too many people have asked me about it so perhaps I’ll do a video on it (after my exams 😭😭). But u don’t have to wait for my video. You can check out this website for more info on that www.nnas.ca If that does not work u can also look into the accelerated nursing program given that u already have a different undergraduate degree. If you want to know more about a masters of nursing program in Canada then I think the best thing to do is a google search of Canadian universities that offer such program. A lot of them do offer a Masters in Nursing. You just have to read their websites to confirm their requirements. Some schools that offer a Masters in Nursing include McMaster university, university of Alberta, university of Toronto, McGill university, western university, university of British Columbia etc. there are so many more. Hope this helps.
Hi dear, thanks for the information. My question is can some one who has graduated from her first degree for like 6 years now still eligible, or that doesn’t matter?
How can a non-nursing Bachelor degree holder of History education apply for accelerated nursing considering the factor of the emphasis of studying where your field background relates to in order to get study Visa ?
Hello, as I said in the video the accelerated nursing program is specifically for people who have a previous degree in ANYTHING other than nursing or at least completed 2 years in a degree other nursing. And so one with a history degree can apply if they meet all the requirements. With regards to immigration and how they operate I am not too familiar with that area. But I will say this: the accelerated nursing program is still an undergraduate degree program. It is NOT a masters degree program. The accelerated nursing is not a continuation of any program. It’s an undergraduate program on its own. Based on this I do not see why one’s previous education should affect the visa application. I do know that matters surrounding immigration can vary depending on the individuals circumstances so Perhaps u can inquire more about the immigration aspect from an immigrations officer just to confirm. Hope this helps, let me know if u have more questions
So How can an internationally trained nurse apply for the accelerated nursing program, please I need help this actually the confusion that I am having right now and I went to a nursing school not a university here in Nigeria, please I would really appreciate the help
First, an internationally trained nurse can come to Canada to practice without having to go through a Canadian nursing program again. It’s a long application process that entails the applicant to have their nursing degree verified and they also have to write the NCLEX exam. I’ll be putting out a video on this soon (after my exams 😭😭) since a lot of people have asked me about it. But u don’t have to wait for my video, u can read up more on this on this website: www.nnas.ca Secondly, if for some reason an internationally trained nurse cannot go through the first step I just described above or doesn’t even want to, they can try the accelerated nursing program if they completed at least 2 years of a different undergraduate degree other than nursing. If the accelerated nursing program doesn’t work then the applicant can apply to the regular 4 year nursing program in Canada. That usually requires high school or secondary school results. Hope this helps.
Thanks for enlighten on d accelerated nursing program i also ve d same question with Chizoba and u ve explained bt i want to also ask can one apply to community college from Nigeria only for d prerequisites ? Because i heard embassy don't usually approve visa for that bt can we explain to them or she we use our previous degree to get d approval first then change aft 1st semester Pls explain forward and if i decide to apply for Master's in my previous field what abt d money ve spent still confuse pls help us out.
Hello Susan, as I explained to Chizoba, to apply for visa you need to have gotten admission to a "Full program". You most likely would not get your visa approved to study just few courses. You can always apply for a program, get the visa, come over and then switch and take a whole other program or just take the prequisites. Just because you get admission and then visa to study a certain program DOES NOT mean you have to study that specific program. If you come over to Canada you can always switch and take any program that you want, you will just have to apply for the new program by the time you come over to Canada. Also, most of the accelerated nursing schools require that the prerequisites be taken from a university and not a college. I am not sure I understand your other question about money and a Master's program , but I will say this, any program or degree that you want to study whether it is undergraduate or masters you always have to pay for the application of that program. So if you apply for nursing and pay and then change your mind and now you want to apply for masters in business, you will have to pay again to apply for the Master's in business. If your question was about tuition (or school fees as we call it in Nigeria) you can find that info at the university website for each university you are interested in. Tuition varies per program and per university so you will need to check their individual websites. I am not sure if that is what you are asking but feel free to clarify. I hope this helps
@@susanimhana4943 Hello, I just made a video addressing how one can go about getting the prequisites while still in Nigeria. You can check it out and see if it would be helpful to you.

Anyone can take the accelerated nursing program if you have all the prerequisites and apply. This also applies to internationally educated/trained nurses. Also just to let u know, internationally trained nurses can also come to Canada to practice without having to start nursing school all over again (unless they want to). They usually just have to pass the NCLEX nursing exam and then apply. I’ll be putting a video on this very soon since many have reached out to inquire about it. So stay tuned. @@mjaymjay5132 that’s a good question. I will suggest that u email the schools and ask if your masters degree can be used to calculate the required GPA. Im not sure how your masters program was structured but for GPA calculation they need actual courses that were actually graded, so pass/fail courses won’t apply. I know that not all masters programs have that format so keep that in mind too. Before u email them also read the requirements of the particular school. Some schools are very specific in what they want or do not want. Also I’m not sure if it will make a difference but the GPA required is usually for your last 2 years of study and not the entire 4 years. Some people tend to do better in their last years so this method helps them. So In case u can’t use the masters GPA u can calculate your GPA for the last 2 years of your undergraduate and see if u can apply. Also keep in mind that there are several universities so even if one does not accept the masters program it DOESN’T mean that the rest will not accept it too. Hello ... Thanks for the information about the accelerated program.. I just moved to Canada few days ago as a PR and my university degree was back in Nigeria.. What are my options of getting into the accelerated program. Would I be tags as an international student or a traditional Canadian student considering the fact that I have a PR
Hello, if your status in Canada is PR you would be considered a PR. If your status is that of an international student your would be considered an international student. So basically whatever is on your immigration document that’s what you will be considered as. With regards to the ACC. Nursing program they accept Canadians, PR and international students. Preference isn’t really given to anyone based on their status. The admissions committee only look at the requirements (GPA, prerequisites, Casper test, supplementary application). The main advantage of being a Canadian or PR is fees/tuition. Ps: there may be back door politics with admissions just as we have corrupt practices everywhere but openly we are made to believe that no preference is given based on status. Also, most programs who give preference based on anything will actually say so on their website. For example for medical schools most Canadian schools do not accept international schools. Also for a lot of programs in Canada they have a specific number of spots reserved for their indigenous citizens to help encourage them. But all these are openly stated on their website. Nothing like that is stated for nursing. As a matter of fact for nursing they tell u that having all the requirements does not guarantee entry into the program. If u have all the requirements, apply. There is no formula that guarantees entry. Just do the best you can on all required areas and then apply. Also please don’t let anyone tell u not to apply because blah blah blah. My personal story to u: after I applied and got in I was talking to someone on Reddit who had the exact same grades as I did. She decided not to apply coz she felt her grades were not good enough for the “caliber of school”. Moral of the story: apply if u have the requirements, u may not always get in but try your best. Hope this helps 👍🏿
@@lifewithjoaness1372 ... thank you for the encouragement.....but what I really meant was that though I'm a PR status but my university degree is from Nigeria....will the degree be useful in getting into the program if all the requirements are met ?. Thanks in anticipation
@@olusholaayodele6077 the accelerated nursing program is for students or people with a previous bachelor degree other than nursing so if u already have one it applies regardless of where u got it from. U will just need to make sure u have all the other requirements and prerequisites. There is no special pile for students with degrees from Nigeria vs those with degrees from Canada. The main thing to look at is to make sure that any previous degree GPA is within the required GPA. So basically if u apply you would be considered a PR student in terms of fees (advantage) but your admissions would be based on your Nigerian grades (neither advantage nor disadvantage, it depends on your grades). Hopefully I have answered your question

U can also look into some online universities in the states. I have never been enrolled in an online university so please do your research on that.
Hope this helps
@Mafeng Dareng you along with so many others asked me this question. As requested I have put up a new video addressing this.

I have done bsc (chemistry, zoology, botany) and masters in biotechnology what school will be best for me
Hi I’m new here, will my OND and HND put together be evaluated to 4year program in canada by Wes ?
Hello, I’m not sure what an OND and HND are but u can always email the universities for clarification.
That being said to get into the accelerated program u have to complete at least 2 years of an undergraduate degree. 2 years is the minimum so it’s ok if u haven’t or didn’t finish the entire 4 year program.
@@lifewithjoaness1372 ok thanks
How i can meet to complete their prequistes?
Can I apply as undergraduate who completed SHS senior high school?
I went through the online university you mentioned..I wanted to ask..do.we have to pay different fees for each course ?
I’m not sure I understand your question quite well but I’ll try my best to answer. If u are asking if taking course A is more expensive than taking course B, I have no idea. However, the more courses you take the more money u pay. That’s usually how it is for all universities. You can check their website for more details on the tuition costs. If u have more specific questions about any schools tuition and tuition process then reach out to their financial office. Their contact can be found on the school’s website.
Hope this helps.
What if I didn’t graduate from my home country it’s complicated am tired😭😭😭😭some body help
You can check out this website for more info on that www.nnas.ca
If that does not work u can also look into the accelerated nursing program given that u already have a different undergraduate degree.
When u graduated doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that the applicant has all the requirements like GPA and prerequisite courses
Thank you
How can a non-nursing Bachelor degree holder of History education apply for accelerated nursing considering the factor of the emphasis of studying where your field background relates to in order to get study Visa ?
Because we have taken courses on all of those human physiology and other courses needed
But u don’t have to wait for my video, u can read up more on this on this website: www.nnas.ca
Secondly, if for some reason an internationally trained nurse cannot go through the first step I just described above or doesn’t even want to, they can try the accelerated nursing program if they completed at least 2 years of a different undergraduate degree other than nursing.
@@lifewithjoaness1372 well understood thanks.
@@susanimhana4943 Hello, I just made a video addressing how one can go about getting the prequisites while still in Nigeria. You can check it out and see if it would be helpful to you.

I left a link beneath this video that has a list of schools in Canada that offer the program. It’s not a exhaustive list but it's a start. With a simple google search you should be able to find more schools.
Hi, good day.
I have completed a 3 year program in nursing (diploma) and i want to get a BSN in Canada. Please how do I go about.
Hello Amaka, what country did u get your nursing diploma from
@@lifewithjoaness1372 from Nigeria
@@amakaojiaku7282 Some Canadian universities offer bridge programs to allow nurses go from RPN to RN (nursing diploma to nursing bachelors degree). They are usually 3 years. Some of them accept internatioal students, others do not.
This is a different nursing path from mine so I know very little about it, google would be your best resource. You can search "RPN to RN programs in Canada". Canada has multiple provinces so to have a better view you can also search for such programs within each of the provinces (Ontario, Alberta etc).
From a simple google search here are some links to some schools that offer the program:
academiccalendar.nipissingu.ca/Catalog/ViewCatalog.aspx?pageid=viewcatalog&catalogid=8&chapterid=632#InternationalApplicants
nursing.mcmaster.ca/prospective-students/admission#post
www.ryerson.ca/programs/undergraduate/nursing-post-diploma/#academic-requirements
www.stclaircollege.ca/programs/registered-practical-nurse-pathway-bscn
Here are some schools I know offer the program, you will just have to look at their websites and/or email them to confirm if they accept international students: McMaster University, Ryerson university, Western University, Nipissing university, St. Clair college etc.
This is obviously not an exhaustive list as it only includes some schools in Ontario. You will also look at the "Admissions requirements" page on each of their websites to know what their requirements are.
Let me know if you have more questions but I hope this helps.
Thanks , what if you have completed in your degree in you home country and would like to take up such a program.
The same requirements apply. U will need to do the prequisite courses in your country or in Canada and then apply to the program
Wow nice
Does this mean that an internationally educated nurse cannot take the accelerated nursing program?
Anyone can take the accelerated nursing program if you have all the prerequisites and apply. This also applies to internationally educated/trained nurses.
Also just to let u know, internationally trained nurses can also come to Canada to practice without having to start nursing school all over again (unless they want to). They usually just have to pass the NCLEX nursing exam and then apply. I’ll be putting a video on this very soon since many have reached out to inquire about it. So stay tuned.
Hope this answers your question 👍🏿

So there are 2 main things I’ll like to clarify and differentiate.

I’ll be putting out a video on this soon (after my exams 😭😭) since a lot of people have asked me about it. Can I apply to this program with M Sc. Human Physiology? Please reply
Anyone with a previous bachelors/undergraduate degree can apply to the program regardless of what such degree was. All that matters is that u have or complete all prerequisites and requirements
@@lifewithjoaness1372 Thank you so much for your reply. The problem is that the GPA of my B.Sc human physiology is very low so I did a post graduate diploma on physiology then went for my M.Sc. physiology. I want to know if I would be considered. I anticipate your reply
To help u, in the description of this video I already included a list of some schools that offer the acc. Nursing program. It’s not an exhaustive list.
Hope this helps. Let me know if u have more questions.
