Troubleshooting No Iron golems FIX Build your platform out and place 5 extra beds and extra job blocks so that the villagers will not be fighting over them I spent 2 hours on this farm (mainly the villager breeding and stuffing the 20 into this glass square) just for it to not work at all. I tried breaking and replacing the beds/job blocks to no avail.. Deep in the comments someone suggested this so hopefully you see this and it helps you out
I dunno if Jason is gonna see this, but I just wanted to say thank you. It was the original iron farm design that completely transformed my world. I couldn't exactly play bedrock edition due to the game constantly freezing, making me die over and over. I couldn't even cave because my game would freeze again and a random zombie would kill me. His iron farm was the first thing that gave me hope that, no, it IS possible to thrive in these conditions. An equivalent of an industrial revolution worth of farms later, my world has never looked better. Thank you, Jason.

Can confirm waiting for the 20 villagers was the most time consuming part. It took a couple of real-life days to get the villagers to breed, wait for the babies to grow up, and cull the occasional nitwit out.
Tip: to increase spawn rates of iron golems make sure to tame AT LEAST 5 cats spawned by the villagers, they usually are found running around or inside the farm. This not only helps increase the spawn rates up of iron golems, but also if you have an item sorter you’ll get no string.

This was the first farm I built on our survival world YEARS AGO. Was a pain to get villagers too, buy has been worth every bit of annoyance! I have all of your Overworld farms. All in survival.
Not sure if this helps anyone, but golem spawns are determined by how many of the villagers are actively refreshing at a workstation, then uses that number to determine the amount of golems after. So if youre not hearing them work at their tables, you wont get golems
this is beautiful man, the way he includes every little detail, sure some more experienced might say he is taking it too little of a step at a time, but the way he does it is very friendly to new players and makes sure you dont get lost in any step, even adds tips like how to pull boats up ledges man youre amazing
Something I noticed is that if u had a trader hall just over 100 blocks away make sure no iron golems spawn there and if they do remove a workstation from one of them so iron golems spawn at ur farm and not the trader hall
So usually I watch a tutorial, build the farm, it doesn’t work, I adjust a million little things for what feels like hours, and eventually get things functioning after lots of hair pulling. Not this time. Golems appeared as soon as I lay down the final workstation. Thank you so much for the crystal clear instructions and excellent farm design

@@Topher_4310 what @maxyoutube0660 said + are you next to the spawner, or are you going away, coming back, and not seeing any iron? The farm doesnt work if you arent in at least view of it! Try sitting on the ledge and going afk!
love your videos man! been looking for an iron farm that works in bedrock for a long time, and i can’t tell you how excited i was when i tested this in my creative world!
Troubleshooting questions: Q: Villagers won't link to beds/workstations A: Make sure there are no extra beds or workstations in the area, make sure they aren't still connected to beds/workstations from their village/breeder (If the breeder is less than 100 blocks away then it is easier to move that than the iron farm) Q: How do I stop golems from spawning outside of the farm? A: Dig down a bit under the farm, or cover the floor with leaves. The reason it is built so high in the air is to prevent this, since iron golems can spawn on stuff other mobs cant (but NOT on leaves). Q: Why are cats spawning? A: Cats spawn if there are at least 4 beds linked to villagers. They shouldn't affect the rates of the farm. Q: How can I stop cats from spawning? A: Put at least 5 tamed cats in the area, you can get the cats from anywhere. Q: Iron golems are spawning slowly. A: This farm isn't that fast, and from what I understand the rates can fluctuate throughout the day (I think it has to do with villagers choosing to work at their workstations). At most you will get 2 spawns every 35 seconds, at least you will get 0, its up to RNG. But I think it is still possible for them to rarely spawn when you don't have enough villagers, look at the next question for how to double check. Q: Iron golems aren't spawning at all. A: Double check you have enough villagers and they all are linked by destroying all of the beds and then replacing them, and checking for the green particles that signify they're linked every time. Also make sure no golems have spawned outside of the farm. Q: Why can't I trade with the villagers? A: It locks in their professions and prevents them from linking to the workstations. You can trade with them after the farm is finished. Q: Can I make this farm with less than 20 villagers? A: Yes, the minimum is 10. But the rates are also a lot worse, it’s definitely worth the hassle to get all 20. Q: Can I build this inside a building/underground? A: Yes, but you have to be careful to make sure everywhere but the spawning platform is spawnproofed. Q: Can I breed the villagers inside the farm? A: No, Nitwits have a 1/10 chance of spawning and will not work in the farm. Q: Can this be permanently loaded in the spawn chunks? A: No, that's a java exclusive feature. Q: Does this work on java? A: No, the requirements for golems to spawn are very different. Q: What are the rates of this farm? A: 411 ingots per hour. Q: Can I stack multiple of these? A: Yes. They have to be fairly far apart, 96 blocks horizontally and 76 blocks vertically (according to Reddit). The amount of farms you make is limited by your simulation distance. Q: How does this farm even work? A: I could be wrong, but from what I understand by reading the wiki: Iron golems need at least 20 beds and 10 villagers to spawn, and an extra golem spawns per every 10 extra villagers. This farm uses 20 villagers for 20 beds to balance efficiency with being easy to build. Every ~35 seconds the village will attempt to spawn 2 iron golems (1 for each 10 villagers), and if the villagers meet certain requirements the golem will spawn. The requirements are that all of the villagers are linked to a bed (they don't have to actually sleep), and at least 75% of them have worked at their workstation. They "work" by standing next to the workstation and they do this at specific times of the day, that's why the farm gets really loud sometimes as all the villagers "work" at once. I honestly have to give props to for this design, it uses the minimum amount of beds but twice the minimum amount of villagers for double efficiency. It’s the most efficient you can get a farm with 1 village to be, any more efficient would require stacking multiple farms. And it is a really cheap and easy build, the only hard part is just working with villagers.
Mine doesn't even spawn iron golems, I did it close like 20 blocks in the sky, is that the problem? I also noticed some of them are getting triggered and quitting jobs what the heck is happening?
@@goncalobento7873 the height shouldn’t matter, as long as it’s within your simulation distance. The villagers getting mad is also normal, I think. First, sit by the farm for a few minutes and make sure you weren’t just unlucky with spawns. (The farm won’t work if you are too far away). If there’s still nothing, break all the beds in the farm AND any in your villager breeder. Replace the beds in the farm and check for green particles. If they don’t show up for all beds, you might not have enough villagers. Lastly, make sure you don’t have any workstations nearby, it’s easy to accidentally place a barrel or whatever.

Tried this one and followed step by step and it worked right away perfectly, producing around 250-300 iron per hour. I think the methodical ensuring of linking each villager to a bed and workstation made all the difference.

This seemed to fix the problem at least for me after having done the build exactly as shown. Hope it helps.

We should all appreciate jc plays for making such good videos of all the farms he makes! Like most of the farms I build are inspired by him. Oh and for the iron farm, for some reason, the iron golems are spawning at a different location other than where it is supposed to spawn at

So i had it only spawning cats, its because there were 22 villagers. Killed the 2 normie ones that werent linked to a job and it started working straight away
This man has never let me down
@jcplayz will the other iron farm still work
i am watchiing and creating your farms since 1.16 and every farm works perfectly
This one stopped working for me
@@devinbruder3559 first thing make sure 20 beds and 20 Fletching tables then put 1 bed close to farm if it gets link means 1 ectra villager or u have not hone 100 blocks far from and villager or breeding hall
im not sure if its the new update or if its a personal issue but no golems or cats are spawning anymore
Just built it and it works fine
Just built mine too. Initially it spawned cats and then I tamed cats and now it doesn’t spawn anything
Nice bro you are my saver
All your tutorials working
(Some doesnt working bcs i didnt hear you correctly and i rewatch your video and i noticed my mistakes)
Keep your best JC
Your tutorials more understandable than someone else
Mine doesn't work? There are 20 villagers. What can I try?
Make sure it is at least 120 blocks away from any village or Villager. It should only have fletcher and No villager should be green villager.
Go to creative mode for iron 🗿

This guy is a hero i have tryed 3 other and this is the only one that woarked
made this and it doesn’t seem to be working. i built it right next to a village with the intention of moving all of them into the farm and moving any more i need into the farm (there aren’t any left in the actual village now) but no iron golems are spawning. is this because i built next to the farm? please help
I think it’s cause u built it next to the village
Ik this was 3 months ago but hopefully this helps
@@Striker-ir4se i moved all the villagers to it and took all the work stations so i didn't think it would count as a village anymore
It might have something to do with the bell being the center of the village and throwing things off I don’t know though it may be destroyed the bell or to be safe build far away from the village
120 blocks away from any village
I was looking around to find a good iron farm for bedrock partially because the underground ones suck then I saw this one and thought it looked interesting and it turned out to be the best one I had found
I made one and it doesn’t seem to work but I had a cat spawn in the killing chamber but I can’t seem to figure out what went wrong (i restarted the world already)
Make sure you have 20 villagers I didn't and I was just getting cats
@@Jimmy_A1445ik this is 2 months ago but thank you so much for this advice
This bro literally deserves a raise 👏
no matter how hard i try, i cant get this farm to work, I've been reading comments and trying to fix it for like 5 hours now.
I wonder if there's something about the update.
Try to change you chunk render in the world settings
Did you get the dimensions right? That's probably the problem
Same
@@flippinbiscuitsbruh1 I always add more beds and workstations. That fixes it almost every time.
Just built this! Works like a charm! Not a complaint but advice, you don't NEED 20 villagers, Once I got to 10 it started working almost instantly.
If you get 20 it gives your more iron
hey build the farm and is working very well, useful note is NOT to have a minecart within 50 blocks of the farm, no idea why but nothing spawns with a minecart close but as soon as i break it the farm works. hope this helps people!!!
I built this farm but no iron golems are spawning. Can someone help pls 🙏
Make sure that there are total villager but not in green dress and 100 block away from any villager
Total 20 villager
We should all appreciate jc plays for making such good videos of all the farms he makes! Like most of the farms I build are inspired by him.
Oh and for the iron farm, for some reason, the iron golems are spawning at a different location other than where it is supposed to spawn at
Does the iron golem spawn instantaneously? It doesn't spawn in my world even tho I followed the steps properly. Any reasons as to why this happens? Or recommendations on what to do? Thanks a lot!
me too :(
Hey any news on ur farm
Does it work?
All of my farms are from this man right here. Keep up the good work
This works on 1.21 too
Why my farm can’t spawn golem 😢
Now it’s spawn golem I put I bed and two workstations on the collection system if you farm can’t plz check it
I waited some time and it worked thank you so much keep on going
It’s more like a cat farm lol😂
True also dosent gp through hoppers into chests
What version are you?
1.20
Bedrock
I fixed the same issue with a similar farm by leaving around 10 cats sitting beside it, made things much more efficient
It started working really well before I was even finished putting down the beds
JC "by the way" Playz
This guys voice is soothingly monotone, which helps when he explains how the farm works cuz other RUclipsrs are all high and bubbly when they explain it which can make it confusing sometimes😅 love the videos dude, you’re genuinely carrying bedrock edition at this point
It’s not working
Ngl the best ever minecraft tutorial creator 🤷🏻
So far, the farm doesn't work for me
Skill issue just finished building and working great. Make sure you tame cats
@@xavarn1 But didn't he say you shouldn't have pets near the farm?
Make sure mob greifing is on with it off iron golems can’t spwan
@@loganspitz64297 I have it on already🤷♂️
Thank you sir, I’ve been looking for this for ages
Built and working. 04/15/2024 took a few rounds of removing work benches and replacing them but it works.
It's not working for me. Moved the whole build 3 times. Iron golems are t spawning
Started a new world needed iron for making a skyscraper and this man is incredible, I used his gold farm too and it's insane. I even made the farm out of gold blocks eventually cuz it was that good
I’m making farms and learning Redstone contraptions too and I’m loving it so far 😊
This is the first time an iron farm has worked for me on bedrock and it was easy to build. Thank you 🙏
thanks so much man the farms you make work perfectly on xbox series x edition
does it still work?
@@softy2202 yes it does it works very well, around 4 stacks an hour
Definitely gonna build this over an ocean biome lol. Good info GG 🔥
You just earned a sub your the only one out of 5 videos that worked
Once again another great farm! Takes a while for the villagers but once you get it, it works really well. Recommend building as soon as you can.
How are your iron golems spawning
@@arkingwillows9448 They spawn well but since I built the farm away from my base I have to afk at the farm for about 30 minutes to get a lot of iron. Like one or two golems every 3-5 minutes. But the farm works well. With just this farm I was able to get a max beacon.
This shouldnt of taken me 4 days... THANK YOU IT WORKS
I love your farms bro, never had any issues building anything you've done until now... been at this farm for days but just can't get them to stop pairing to beds
Just built this on PS5 and followed all instructions exactly and is worked perfectly. Made a base about 110 blocks away from a village then in the village I blocked off two villagers and mated them till I have 24 villagers in there. Built all this videos instructions near my base which was 110 blocks away then built a rail system from the villager breeder to the farm. Slept one mi extract night and started getting iron golums immediately. Thanks JC_Playz
I'll trust this guys builds than any other Minecraft RUclipsr. Dude counts the blocks, explains any issue that may occur trouble shoot it all in the same video.
Any build I find for minecraft on youtube either is flawed, doesn't work. IS NOT for Java and Or Bedrock, and is usually on a different version but will express how it works in 1.19+ lol.
In 2021 I found this guy's tutorial and now I recommend him to all of my friends
Without this man I prob wouldn't have half the things I have on my world
I wanna thank you for working this hard for us man! Lots of love brother 🙌
