Welcome to the Life SMP season 5 renamed Secret Life - episode 6! We start Secret Life Ep6 by showing off Sunflower Valley and my base. The fact that you lost less hearts while being chased by the *wither* than when Mumbo had the task to keep you from losing hearts is just poetry.
The problem Scar most often has is his inability to perceive dangers. But once he knows the danger is there, then he is capable of impressive feats of bravery and skill. And also impressive deaths, but that need not be mentioned.
this also leads to him acting much calmer in dangerous situations when others are panicking... and he's had a lot more practise with precise fleeing for his life than some of the specialists in other areas.@@HSuper_Lee
Scar’s luck is inverse to the danger presented. Low stakes situations leads to Science Bros incidents. High stakes however, he miraculously survives.

@@lightning_11 Scar is getting better at the game. This was Grian's plan the whole time: make Scar GOOD at Minecraft. The tasks require him to do things that allow him to grow better, and the combat challenges require him to be smarter, faster, and all around more skilled. Grian came up with Secret Life to help his friend improve!

it's truly fascinating that out all people it was scar that only took 2 hearts of dmg (not counting the gapples) whilst giving him a friendly tour of the server XDD

Yeah well, warden is actually way scarier like this. You can just keep dodging a wither pretty much indefinitely as Scar demonstrated. But if you get the warden's attention, you can't dodge, you can just try to get away before it starts shrieking.

The fact that Scar somehow managed to survive that whole time with a Warden loose and with the Wither actively chasing him for so long genuinely impresses me. Not only did he not die, but he didn't even take that much damage from the whole ordeal while 3 other people died during it. Honestly, hats off to Scar for that

He’s lucky that he didn’t get the wither effect tbh- Scott had only almost died because of the wither effect. Also Grian died when he already only had one heart(which is Grians fault but we’re only talking about the wither and warden)

There's something really funny about Scar declaring that he's about to turn evil and bring out Chaos Scar, whose position as an envoy of chaos and destruction is immediately outdone by Etho and Grian orchestrating the ultimate battle

The fact that everyone was laughing that he was being chased by the wither. But once someone else was chased he was jumping out immediately to save his friends. He's so wholesome.

And then also having no idea what "rigging" a game is. All the winner had to do is lose half a heart and have the other 2 say "Don't think I will". Instead Scar makes an enemy. Its hard to watch.
Also the game where Bdubs died is a Bdubs win.
I was just about to comment the same thing. I was laughing so hard at that initial confusion.
Also, the confusion is a future task idea. In a competition with other players, where each round must involve chickens in some way.
That was the SILLIEST chase scene I've ever watched, holy cow. Joel being chased by the wither and CROSSING PATHS WITH THE WARDEN while everyone else is either hiding or also running in the background is the most slapstick, unbelievable comedic thing I've ever seen on the life series, WOW.
also, poor BigB and everyone else who got accidentally hurt by other players in that mob of people trying to help and kill the wither, oh wow. I guessed that Grian's task was to get the wither because he failed the last task, but the Warden was straight out of the left field. I'm guessing that's Etho's task? But I swear he passed it last episode, maybe he noticed a mistake he made while editing like Grian did... WOW. and was Jimmy out last again?

@@ethanvon222no, grian failed his task because he did not participate in jumping over the campfire, he counted it as a failure
Etho had Pearl's task by the end of last session which meant he needed to reroll, and it ended up being a team task with Grian. Grian needed to get a Wither, Etho needed to get a Warden, and they needed to bring the two bosses to a central area and make them fight.
Scar: I want to be unhinged
Also Scar: Literally runs around the server with a trail of destruction in his wake
Its genuinely so impressive that Scar managed to be chased by a wither for that long and only took 2 hearts of damage the entire time

Also, it was not at the center of the map, it was "a central location". For example between Heart Foundation and Scar would have worked as well, but they chose the most central location, not just a central location.

Scar was unironically one of the most destructive forces in this entire episode, the man killed just as many people as the Warden and is partially responsible for the enormous path of destruction caused by the Wither. (For the record, Scar dropped Bdubs from full to 0 with his Zombie stunt, crit several people during the Wither fight, and killed BigB in the chaos.)

Slang is like that. Saying that it was a dare would probably have been better.
for those that do not know the Chicken game is usually how far do you want to go in a dangerous situation before you get out of it and you need to get out of it before you die. A good example of this is from the previous season of Limited Life with the Bad Boys burning some of the roof of the Wooden Mansion. The goal there was "How long can you keep your fire there before it burns the WHOLE mansion?" For that I would say Joel won though you could also argue for Jimmy though his bit of burning got quite a few more blocks than Grian's and Joel's
I think alot of ppl didnt underatand that task....i wud have hopped on a horse and charged at eachother bc there aremt cars in MC....aomeone disnt do thier reaearch suggeatng that taak..its like the fish and chips thing

If you watch Bdubs' POV you can see how doomed he was by being pushed into the zombies. It was hilarious, but I also feel so bad for Bdubs trying to save his own life while Scar is laughing in his face lol
Let this be a testament to people who don't realize how much Scar has leveled up his skills, that he ran from a Wither for 10 minutes and barely took damage! I'm so proud of you for stepping up and coming a BEAST at this game, dude! (The wacky music during the chase had me in stitches)
Oh, and watching Grian's video earlier, frequently seeing Scar running from the wither in the background was gutbustingly hilarious

I feel like Scar should be forced to reroll for a hard task next session because he broke the rules by killing another green, but I doubt that will happen. Plus the constant teasing about how he didn't escape afterwards felt uncalled for after watching Bdubs perspective where there wasn't much he could do.

it wasnt really on purpose but scars trail of destruction from being chased was crazy. the server went from looking like a relatively wholesome surivival world to a complete wasteland so quick

This has been the most chaotic episode of any life series. I didn't even know that there was a deep dark.
The chase scene might be one of if not the funniest scenes in the series as a whole. Coming on par with mumbos task timing where you said Oh I CAN'T KEEP A HEART FOR THE LIFE OF ME MUMBO. I was wheezing.

The wither chase is _insane._ Scar juking it for so long is incredible.
That sequence of Scar running around the server with his pet Wither on a leash and leading it towards player while the others were trying to get away from it and the Warden was hillarious! You're doing amazing!

Task idea: Convince someone else to roll for a hard task, then help them complete it. They are allowed to share their task with you, and you cannot call it out. If they fail, you fail.

I love that Etho comes running over the hill and just stands next to Scar and Grian and waits for them to notice.
It was hilarious from Grian's PoV when they warden was stomping out of the woods and your back was turned so you were unaware. It is also impressive how long you lasted with the wither chasing you, and not dying from it.
Of course the wither was after Scar 😂 He is so good at the game that it would have been unfair otherwise!
What I don't understand is how that Wither ignored everyone else for so long and only focused on Scar.

It’s mad impressive that he only took two hearts of damage during the wither chase. I’ve been going through the videos and watching everyone ending up in the warden vs wither fight and it hasn’t ceased to be entertaining.

This was a perfect example of a task that could almost never have been worth the amount of hearts required to fulfill it. Scar would've ended up so much further ahead if he'd just failed the task and let the wither chase him around for another half hour! :D

I love how the tasks have gotten more and more creative. It really keeps the series interesting with all the new ideas.
The wither timelapse was the funniest thing I've seen in Minecraft since Doc led an army of hermits to fight wardens on the Nether roof.

this is the funniest thing ive ever seen ive watched almost everyones perspectives just to see them watch scar being chased and their reactions. these timelapses add so much i dont think he missed a single spot within the border
Task ideas
(Red): cause another player to take damage in 5 different ways
(Normal): Throughout the session you frequently forget or get confused as to what life series you are in. For example, if you’ve experienced betrayals in past life series, act as though they just happened. If you had past partnerships/teams, use this. You could also use past bits/running jokes. Additionally, you could bring up things like the boogyman, time running out, or soulmates as if these are currently in effect. You must engage with other players while experiencing these episodes. If someone mentions that you are bringing up old events, act confused/disoriented/in denial.
(Normal): You can’t use the letter M
Task Idea: “[Another player] has a list of mini-tasks for you to complete throughout the session. You must complete at least five of them before the end of the session. Yellow lives can not guess this task.”
The plot twist is that the “task-giver” does not have a list of tasks. Their book reads: “[Another player] thinks that you have a list of mini-tasks to give them. You must make up the tasks whenever they ask. If at any point they guess that you are making up the tasks, you fail.”
Secret Task Suggestion: Get a hermit with a 'catch phrase' (IE: mumbo's 'chuffed to bits' for example or Scar with his 'scarred for life' ) to say their catch phrase about a topic at least three times in a conversation with other hermits without anyone in the conversation realizing that this is your task.
This would be fun as a hard task

A horrible hard task idea for next week: Patch up all the holes created by the wither last week. It doesnt need to be perfectly fixed, but the holes must blend in again when youre done.

I never doubted that more than one person could win that task, I think you’re fine. My only problem is that a lot of the games weren’t games of chicken, just random “first to take damage” things but even that wasn’t consistent cuz the water bucket was last to take damage wins while the zombie was first to take damage wins… but as you said you guys self moderate and all 3 of you were on board with those competitions so you shouldn’t have to reroll
Only thing is that they all failed because to succeed they had to win MORE than three, not reach three.
