My favorite rifle is my PTR-100GI that I got from AF in the spring of 2020 (yes, you could find firearms during that "time period" if you knew where to look).
I have a preban FNM G3. New. Gorgeous rifle, with the green furniture. Not many in the country. If I remember correctly, PTR bought their equipment & spare parts ~25 years ago. 🤠
I wouldn't buy from southern tactical. They don't respond to gunbroker messages or even bothered to pick up the phone. Imagine if you had a issue? They had a attitude when I called them out.
Yeah Russ has a real ego problem. During Covid he was cranking out AR’s as fast as possible with cheap no name Chinese parts from places like Tiger Rock.
I prefer the model 51 conversion by I believe Vollmer, SBR, FULL AUTO, collapsible stock. These worked perfect for the Urban settings especially when one needs a .308 to-get the job done. Better wear some decent hearing protection because it’s bark is as bad as it’s bite.
@@badkatrising3918 yup! Kinda makes one vomit as to where the prices have gone. If I was aware of the ‘86 ban on new manufacture I would have borrowed $2K from the old man and registered 10 Sten tubes. They are going for at least $5.5K if one can find them today. It least it would have been an entry level full auto. Prices went crazy back in the 90’s when several big players were advertising big dollars for anyone wanting to sell their toys and then they were asking double fro what they paid the owners.
These guns were built as machine guns in the 70s or 80s, then cut up into parts kits and rebuilt in the US as semi-auto rifles with new receivers and barrels. All the other parts are still original 1970s vintage so the furniture has some knicks and dings

1:30 OMG the temp worker that did weld on that rear sight needs more practice with the electric glue gun.
Said the same thing. Im not a welder but i know that is a shitty weld.
Mispec bro
Man I said the same thing!

Those welds look rough
As far as welds, the bigger the blob, the better the job.
I fell in love with this rifle from the movie, mocking bird
What’s the deal with the mag release? Looks funky
"it's semi auto so it's legal in most states" no the ATF made u do that to import it.
They aren’t legal in many states in semi auto form, MD is one of them .
@@NCrdwlf it's impossible since 1981/1986 to import them in full auto form to any state in the USA at all.
ATF must be abolished.
They're built here...
Thats literally what he said 😂
Southern tactical needs to learn to weld if they're going to be building these
Excellent gun, wish i could buy one for me.

Those made you very popular at the indoor range. lol. I remember when FJ Vollmer was selling auto Sears for $200 plus $200 tax stamp. 1987 1/2 1988.

@@badkatrising3918 gads! Those were the days! In College and short on cash then. Bummer.
GREAT RIFLE ! Pity Germany does not still use it , Its better then what they have today ..
It's probably the 2nd worst battle rifle ever made. Only above the M14. 🤠

Love mine. I have the wood grain. They get hot quick
some crappy looking welds on that unit.
Huh huh huh you said “unit.”
Nice Rifles 😀
I can’t believe I took the time to put the grenade ring back on the barrel. Especially since it’s USA made.
Msrp: $1150-
Idéntico al antiguo CETME español.
That rifle looks like it was put together in a hillbillies backyard
Wrll they are called "Southern Tactical".
WOW, ALREADY SOLD OUT!!!
Whats with all the dents and dings on it?
Probably just old surplus furniture

They're made from surplus Portuguese parts kits. The parts are well used, dents & scratches & all. At least you get a brand new barrel.
@@donwyoming1936 Something tells me we're better off with the original barrels
@@chewcacachewpipi8879the original barrels were probably chrome lined which would be better
Abolish the NFA and ATF not needed.
damn, sold out!
Couldn’t pay me to take a Southern Tactical VA gun. Bad guns, and bad builds from a bad business man.
