What a beautiful, warm home. It is very unique. The gardens are amazing. I really enjoyed seeing the admiration and friendship between Amanda and Muriel.
The room is very warm and inviting but I think putting the TV on top of a fireplace is wrong. It is way too high and competes with the fireplace for visual attention.
Home has some lovely elements; I do not like all the dead birds, adds a heaviness for such a young woman as Amanda - . I’d have loved her to do the tour of her home, herself. The rug from Italy is stunning.
This comes very close to being my dream home. I absolutely love the arts and crafts era, and I am a complete sucker for a cottage. The way the gardens are so lush They practically take over - there’s such a secret storybook magic to them, and the beautiful femininity and collected textiles on top of the handmade, masculine strength & beauty of the structure.

This looks lived in and comfortable with many beautiful details. It appears to be a very supportive friendship where they compliment each other on their strengths. I adore the sun room and what you did with the chairs. Also the nooks in the bedroom - my mother adored fabrics and hated bland homes with no colour and I see what she means and you have shown that the banquettes etc bring life to a white room. I love stripes too.

Your friend reminds me of my Russian friend and I also have a Spanish friend and both bring their different cultural ideas to our friendship and I have to say they are more open and honest than some cultures. I also learn alot about food, relationships, textiles and design and culture.
Didn't like the stuffed birds at all. BUT, loved ALL the rest of it. A house I could just move into and not change a thing--except get rid of the stuffed birds:)

This is an odd episode. Why are there two hostesses? They’re dressed the same and hold their glasses the same - weird. Taxidermy is gross!! The decorator loves the sound of her own voice a little too much. Couldn’t get through this one. Sorry.
