Becky you and your little Hortado are an absolute joy to watch! He feels your love! He knows you love him! He is your baby and trusts you totally. All your pets are so lucky to be yours!♥
I love your approach. Too many these days ask for too much too soon and apply so much pressure. No point getting them to the "panic" stage, then they don't learn anything. Slow and steady and give them a moment to think about things. Your little guy has such a great temperament. I can see you being a great team 💞
I agree totally, to tell the truth, I learned so, so much from Meredith Hodges while training my smart, strong, wild John mule who you will not rush or force anything on. She and that mule taught me patience, and he is the best equine I have ever trained and is so much fun to ride. Meredith taught me there is force and there is communication -training. Two very different things. I must add that choosing a well bred, healthy animal makes a big difference also☀️❤️☀️
Everything today is SO extreme, I like to train animals in a calm enjoyable way, and the funny thing is, they learn everything better and we both enjoy it☀️❤️☀️
🙏 I’d love to be around horses, and take care of them ever since I was a little girl. Never had the opportunity. Now I’m in my later 60’s, and to see your video now makes me realize all that I missed out on. I’m happy for you!👏🏻🤗
I have never been around horses but, I had a donkey for about 6 years. The more gentle I was to him the sweeter he became. I think your approach is wonderful.
Hahaha I had a donkey and I have my mule Charlie. Every trainer should be required to train a mule, because you will learn to take it slow and learn how to communicate what you want. There is a huge difference in trained and controlled. Half the people and “gadgets” control the animals. Also I see a lot of people, mostly dog people that just do no training at all and are always two steps behind the dog fixing problems, cleaning up messes, and apologizing. I love everyone that takes the time to train their animals, because it’s work☀️❤️☀️
Miss Becky ❤we love your homestead approach and are having success following your lead on chicken cares! Looking forward to applying these tips when we get our hooves friends 🎉 have a blessed day 😊
Just watch all the ones with my Appaloosa Cortado. I’m starting from the beginning with him. Take your time and do what you see me doing, nice and easy☀️❤️☀️
I know what they are. I’m just getting him used to having his feet worked on. As a little baby he doesn’t really need a trim. I have been a farrier for decades, trust me I know how to trim horse, mule feet ☀️❤️☀️
How old is this baby? I just started this very slow process with my 9 month old filly. I know she has a short attention span so we do small 5-10 min sessions.
He is such a handsome little guy. You can tell he has a great steady temperament. Can’t wait to watch him grow! ❤
Thanks, he is very well bred and it shows in him☀️❤️☀️
Omg it was such a blessing to see you again. Thank you! Congratulations on your new baby.
Thank you so much☀️❤️☀️
Wonderful to see you again!! I love your baby horse! Thanks for this video!
Thanks, I’m going to make one video a month on his training

Becky it's time to call the farrier, those are nail cutters not nippers
